House holiday rentals in Sky Valley

Well, my husband and I have stayed there on and off for the last six months for local work, so we know the place well. Sadly, our project has come to an end, so our most recent stay will be our last for work. BUT, we love everything about Todd and Barbie and the house, and we will be back for fun hiking weekends. Hiking, waterfalls, everything nearby. It's the best place we've stayed in the area. Private, squeaky clean, big deck, large dining room table for big meals or spreading out the paperwork, GREAT internet connection and TV options. We'll definitely be back on our own - we feel so comfortable there in every way. I could not recommend any higher - would give it a "10" if I could. Todd and Barbie also bent over backwards to help us with a couple of last-minute schedule changes. Such honest and thoughtful hosts. Thanks Todd and Barbie for EVERYTHING over the last few months. We love you guys!

We had a great week! Beautiful view, spacious condo and very comfortable! The kids loved the pool and lake access both within walking distance. We also enjoyed paddle boarding and nearby hikes! Definitely recommend- we will be back.

I couldn't be more pleased with my first AirBnB stay. The place was clean, inviting, and well-stocked. I wasn't expecting spices, dog toys, dog bowls, dog cot, etc. The fully fenced in yard, lake access, available kayaks, and privacy are the only things I wanted and this place sure supplied! the hot tub, outdoor shower, and firepit were huge bonuses. Also, met and talked with the neighbor who is super friendly 😉 I stayed alone the first half with my dogs and got my peace in. The second half a couple girl friends joined and we thoroughly enjoyed paddling out the this little island and throwing rocks, trying to fish, etc. Enjoying using the coloring supplies, games, and grill as well! It did storm most of the week, but even that was enjoyable! 10/10 experience for us all.

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Clayton, GA while in town for a wedding with another family. The house had everything we needed—super clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made meals easy, and the whole place had such a welcoming, cozy feel. The location was perfect—just a short walk into town, which is absolutely adorable. We happened to be there during a local festival, and it was such a treat to see the community in action. Lots of local pride and charm all around! The outdoor space was a huge bonus. The pool and hot tub were a hit with the kids, and the spacious yard gave them plenty of room to run around and play. It was a quick trip, so we didn’t get to explore as much of the area as we would’ve liked, but there’s clearly a lot to see and do. We’d definitely love to come back and stay longer! Highly recommend this home for anyone visiting the Clayton area—whether for a special event or just a relaxing getaway.

An excellent spot for enjoying the Nantahala National Forest, as well as having ample room and accomodations for guests and vehicles.

Our family of 5 couples and 2 small children loved our stay at Sunsets and Siestas. The home has lots of space, the family suite was a big hit, the master suite is beautiful and spacious, the kitchen very well appointed and the decks, patios are excellent. We used the boat slip including the lift as well as the kayaks and paddleboards. The home had everything we needed and then some. We would definitely return.

This is such an amazing place and yes it is real! Incredible views and wonderful stunning home in the mountains. It really was a memory I'll have forever. Matt was so awesome, he helped us get settled in and the amenities were so awesome🙏. Stay here and prepare to be pampered all the way up in the mountains! ❤️

We had an absolutely amazing time staying here, from the home itself to the outdoors surrounding it was exactly the peaceful, serene environment we were needing. The house literally had everything that we could’ve possibly needed cookware wise and even cleaning wise because although we were on vacation in a neat freak and with 2 boys the messes are sure to follow. Our host was so kind and responsive and gave us so many wonderful recommendations for things to do with our sons. We did not want to leave 💕 thank you so much for having us.

Gorgeous mountain retreat is a perfect way to describe this property. I found everything in the description of this property to be true. In my opinion Karla’s description was very humble and we found the property to be much better than expected. Entire family celebrated my father’s 90th birthday, and found the house plenty spacious for all of us. With full living space on the main level and downstairs we never felt crowded.The house was immaculate and very well stocked with items that were above and beyond any other property I’ve ever stayed in right down to the firewood. Directions were easy to follow and communication was always done in a timely fashion. If you want to relax, do nothing, enjoy the views this is the place for you. If you want to be active, go hiking, play golf, tennis, etc. this is the place for you. If you want to grill out and watch football with the gang, this place is for you. So if you have a large group, and you are looking for a mountain getaway, I recommend that you stop looking and book this property NOW!!

My mom and I flew in from California to meet long lost family for the first time!! We stayed a total of 8 nights. Comfortable, beautiful, and I appreciate the detailed instructions John provided for check in/check out/ hot tub etc. It definitely is helpful! During our stay we had a few critters visit the trash; a racoon and bear! So it is definitely recommended to visit the recycling center (as John does mention!) The cabin is inviting and cozy, well lit, plenty of space for everyone, and we were able to find everything we needed! The game closet for our rainy day, washer and dryer to use for the days we went to the lake, to the beautiful large dining room table we were able to eat together as a family at - and the comfortable bedrooms - this cabin has it all exceeded all of our exceptions and then some- and let me tell you those views from the patio/porch- I will never forget! Thank you so much!

We loved staying at this house for a little girls trip away to do some hiking and wineries in the area! We loved meeting Captain Carrot and the neighborhood dog Chomper! It was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend it to others!

My husband & I very much enjoyed our stay at this Highlands mountain home. It was clean, comfortable, and watching the long-range mountain view sunset was the perfect way to end a day of hiking and exploration. The kitchen was well stocked, internet fast and dependable, and the living room a nice place to enjoy a movie or watch the clouds move across the mountains. The location was convenient to the entire Franklin, Highlands, Cashiers area which in the spring is a playground of wildflowers and waterfalls. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants to visit and the locals were all friendly. Thank you, Rudy & Adrienne, for sharing your lovely mountain home with us. We hope to return in the not-too-distant future!

The Farmhouse on Boxwood is great place to reconnect with old friends. It’s cozy and relaxing. Great view from the back porch. We spent the night time hours huddled around the firepit. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare a favorite meal. Highly recommend a stay.

This was a great place and the hosts are very accommodating. Although weather was bad, the numerous outdoor spaces are fantastic! Everything you might need is there, house is very spacious and easily accommodated my party of 3. If I’m ever in the area, I would request again.

Amelia was a great host with great communication! The cabin was exactly as pictured! It was charming, cozy and with breathtaking views! We are still talking about this place and looking forward to going back!

This was such an absolutely lovely stay! It was private yet 5 minutes from downtown with so much to do! As well as about 20 minutes from Tallulah! It was the perfect size for two people and our dog!! Ginger even sat out bowls ready to go for him! Stunning view, peaceful and a great price. 10/10 recommend! Thank you, Ginger!!

This was by far our favorite AirBnB, ever! We would start again in a heart beat. Wonderful hosts with great communication! Even had an extra propane tank on hand which saved dinner on the first night! Loved the house so much, we actually cancelled our afternoon excursion just to stay in and enjoy games and a movie as a family. Great location! Beautiful views. Highly HIGHLY recommend this stay!

The sunsets from the porch are gorgeous. It is not only impressive that this home was built in just the perfect spot to catch an amazing sunset, but also nestled in the middle of Fontana Lake with a great view of the lake. I can’t say enough about this location! I’ve grown up coming to the Carolina’s and never knew about Fontana Lake. This cabin feels incredibly secluded and luxurious, but close enough to all the best adventure spots—Nantahala, Deep Creek, Smoky National Park, Fontana Lake access points, Appalachian Trail—you name it. There is even a great trailhead walking distance from the cabin that has great views of the lake, creeks, and challenging and diverse enough to walk 2-3x. We saw deer and wild turkey almost everyday and the wildflowers were in bloom all over. Additionally, the master bedroom has an amazing view from the bed. When I opened my eyes each morning, I had a view of the smokies that was mesmerizing. We all want to rent this cabin again!
