Monthly Rentals in Shilin District

I absolutely loved staying here! The location is fantastic — just a two-minute walk to Jiantan MRT station, making it super easy to get around Taipei by train or bus. The studio is also right next to Shilin Night Market, so you’re surrounded by delicious food and convenient dining options at all hours. The space is exactly as shown in the pictures: compact, comfortable, and perfect for a solo traveler. It has everything you need — a full bathroom, a mini fridge, and even a small washing machine, which was especially helpful in Taipei’s hot and humid summer weather. On top of all that, the price is very reasonable and affordable — great value for such a convenient and well-equipped place. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy, budget-friendly stay in the city!

Alan's place is in a nice peaceful neighbourhood and a great place to stay at if you want to be close to the hot spots but away from the city noises. There were a few great bars near by in the Shilin area too. Thanks for your great hospitality, Alan!

This was the second time i've stayed at Johnson's place, on both occasions for 3 weeks. I've now stayed in both of the airbnbs at his address. Both are very good: extremely clean and well-equipped, and Johnson is a very helpful and responsive host! As an example, before I arrived, he messaged to ask if there was anything I needed. I asked if there was equipment to make tea (I'm English!). I simply meant, a kettle. When I arrived, Johnson had provided a full tea set for me: teapot, jug and cups, as well as the all-important kettle and much more than I'd asked! He really is a very good host and I whole-heartedly recommend his airbnbs to anyone looking to stay comfortably in this very pleasant and relaxing area of Taipei city.

We stayed at Rusen's while visiting family and stayed for an extended stay (13 days). His place is very convenient and walkable to the metro (5 minutes). The layout of the Airbnb was great for the 3 of us (me, my husband, and our son). We appreciated having the bedrooms on the 1st floor while the main living area and kitchen were on the 2nd floor. It gave nice separation at night when we wanted to hang out. We did experience some issues with the WIFI during our stay but Rusen was able to troubleshoot and it seemed to resolve itself on the second half of our stay. Rusen was responsive and a great host. A few things to note if you are doing an extended stay, the trash disposal is a 5 minute walk from the Airbnb. The beds are also on the smaller side (noted on the listing) for 2 adults. There is no outdoor space to dry clothes, but there is a humidifier which helps speed up drying. There is a walk-in-closet that can double as a 3rd room for children.
