Family-friendly holiday rentals in Shanklin

Beautiful house, the pictures don’t do it justice! George was friendly and very helpful with check in/out and local recommendations! Immaculately clean, comfy beds and sofas. Short walk to the beach, cafes, co op, fish & chip shop etc! Fully enclosed, good sized garden which was perfect for the dogs to use up their last bit of energy after the beach!

Our second visit here, and will likely come back. Astrid is a great host and the stables are a lovely little space to stay with beautiful surroundings and a great location within the New Forest.

Fantastic accommodation with amazing facilities. Something to suit everyone. Accommodation was very comfortable and spacious, communication by the management company was excellent, and the great location gave easy access to all amenities by car or foot. Would totally recommend and hope we can come back again in the future. It felt like a home from home.

We had a lovely stay at Greenbank. The house was spacious, tidy and clean, and we appreciated the extras provided by the host (towels, toiletries, tea and coffee). The property is just a short walk away from a playground , shop, pharmacy and local places to explore, which we enjoyed investigating. Our 4-year-old loved reading the children's books from around the house and the garden was a lovely spot to play in. We paid to have the hot tub, which we found easy to use and great fun. We had a wonderful stay at the Old Farm Shop. It was in a lovely location - you could explore lots of beaches and also walk from the doorstep in to the countryside and to the sea. It was clean and tidy and had all the things you would need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was a great extra! Susie and Sarah were super responsive and helpful. We had a really lovely time, thank you.

Lovely peaceful weekend away. The place was very clean and beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Both lulu and russ were very welcoming and helpful. We used the hot tub on the Saturday and would recommend booking this. The location is great - very peaceful and a 5min drive from the beach and pubs in walking distance. We look forward to returning!

It was an amazing family get-together with children. All the rooms were great, and the kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary items. The beds were a good size, and we had nothing to complain about.

We had a lovely few days at April Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and in a great location for exploring the New Forest and the coast.

Matthew’s cottage is absolutely beautiful, it is full of character and exactly as we were expecting from the pictures. It was fantastic place to stay in, right in the centre of Beaulieu, with easy access for exploring the New Forest. Matthew was very communicative in the lead up to and during the stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matthew’s home to anyone else visiting the area.

Anthony was super welcoming and even gave us little extras in the fridge for our stay. Veyr very thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble. He made us feel so welcome and came out to talk to us when we walked our dogs on his grounds. We will definitely return as there is so much to do and a great pub around the corner which is a two min walk. The property itself is quaint, clean and spacious and was perfect for my friend and I. We got home after our break feeling refreshed and relaxed. The property has everything you could need and I whole heartedly recommend this for anyone just want to check out of the hum drum for a while. We will definitley go back!

We stayed at Paul’s place for a girls long weekend away and it was perfect. The house is fab and a great space for a bigger group. The communal space was perfect for sitting together with a lovely big table for playing games etc. The kitchen was probably the most equipped kitchen of any Airbnb I’ve stayed in and again the kitchen amenities were great for a larger group. The house is right next to the pub (which isn’t noisy at all) but if you want a pub within stumbling distance, you couldn’t be any closer. The views from the house are lovely, field and forest from every window and the amount of wildlife you see is great (horses, donkeys, pigs and deers). There are great walks from the doorstep and Lyndhurst only a 10mins drive. Paul was a brilliant host, always quick to respond and he was really informative, as well as checking in that everything was ok during our stay. I would highly recommend a stay at Paul’s place!

My son and I loved our stay here. The space is beautiful and clean and had everything we needed. The location was wonderful, so close to the lovely beach where we went fossil hunting. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Everything went smoothly, description and directions perfect. We hope to return

We had a great family break at Lance's. So convenient to get to the beaches in the area and having a pool on site made the lazy days fun. Lance was very helpful and responsive when we needed him. We had everything we needed for our stay. A great staycation!

Great location for a family break. Entertainment passes included. Kids will love the robots delivering food in the restaurant. Didnt try out the pool this time but looked great. Loved how close we were to the beach beautiful day and night, with stunning sunsets. Also enjoyed a walk around the nature reserve. Great base for getting out on our bikes. We absolutely love the new forest and this was a great base for a short stay. We'd happily stay for longer.

We had such a lovely stay at Linda’s place! Even before the trip, communication was super quick, friendly, and accommodating. Linda went out of her way to answer all our questions and offer tips for the area—and kindly offered us an early check-in, which was really appreciated. The welcome goodies (and the cute stickers for the boys!) were such a thoughtful touch. The bungalow itself was perfect for our trip—comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. We even met Linda’s partner Keith on the way out, who was just as lovely—really friendly and chatty. Thank you, Linda, for a wonderful stay. Would absolutely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Stables. The cottage was immaculately clean and well presented with a welcoming vase of fresh flowers on the kitchen table and some milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The pool was amazing, so relaxing, our daughter loved it. Lots of local walks from our doorstep that our dog loved with a very friendly cafe/ shop in the next village. The online guide with a map and list of different places to eat and visit was very useful and having it on my phone meant it was easy to refer to.

Wow wow wow!!! This property definitely has the wow factor. The views, setting and location are fabulous. You could never tire of looking across the grounds, pool and the creek. The property had everything we needed and perfect for a family with children. A few minor maintenance issues but nothing worth mentioning.

Really convenient location, we walked to the beach and swam in the sea several times and ate out locally. Lidl and a little Tesco very nearby for buying groceries. If you want seaside 2p machines, avoid the amusements next to the Beachlands car park and go to the ones inside Funland. The pools at the park were great; indoor heated was a little deep for smaller kids to stand in, but they particularly enjoyed the heated outdoor one and there was also an unheated paddling pool and lots of seating. Caravan was great although the door was a little sticky and the oven dial indicators required a bit of guesswork - kitchen much better equipped than many we have stayed in. It is in a great location on the park as it’s right near the entrance and main hub. The kids appreciated the PlayStation after time outside and Jonathan was really quick to respond to all queries. We’d happily stay again if returning to the area.

Fantastic location for walking & exploring. The barn is beautifully presented and stylishly furnished. Very spacious. Loved seeing the Llamas on our morning walk with our dog - on our doorstep. The New Inn pub down the road - Victoria’s tip - awesome, friendly, great food at a sensible price - try the venison or brill filets! Our only regret was that we didn’t stay for longer. Clear instructions and easy to check in. The accommodation was excellent for a family holiday with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen, plus a lovely view over the bay. We really enjoyed it, thank you Louise.
