Beachfront holiday rentals in Shanklin

Claire’s place was a perfect base for our stay in Southsea. We were visiting family and friends and didn’t run out of places to meet up. The flat had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable, and dog friendly The stairs to the apartment kept us active and the nearby common worked for the dog! Claire kindly left milk, bread, tissues and other bits which was helpful for the first night. Overall Claire and Andy were helpful without being intrusive, the apartment was lovely, and we enjoyed our stay very much. We would love to stay again should the opportunity arise.

Carey is always responsive and happy to help as much as she can, this is our second stay here and it doesn’t disappoint, clean and everything is thought of, will definitely stay there again 😊

Roxanne really is a 5 star host. she made our stay easy and stress free. really felt like a home from home! the kids had so much to entertain them and it was completely kitted out with everything we needed. the caravan is lovely and comfortable. if we ever need somewhere to stay in Portsmouth we will definitely be choosing Roxanne!

Fabulous little cabin that had absolutely everything we could need - great garden for our two schnauzers to run around - and a two minute walk to the beach - made this a perfect place to stay for our long weekend on the Island …

We have had the bestest time here, Gina’s quirky houseboat is immaculate throughout with lovely outside seating areas where you can relax and watch the activities going on in Bembridge harbour. Inside is cosy with a well equipped kitchen. We have already made enquiries to revisit next year !

From the word go Liza has been amazing so helpful patient n kind nothing to much trouble kept checking in with me and my parents which made life easier my parents enjoyed every moment if we could would give Liza 5star plus

Our stay at Salt Cabin was amazing. It’s perfect as a base to access a host of areas regardless of what you enjoy. It was perfect and secure for our sprocker who loved watching out to sea and the beach area. The cafe area in the marina was great and we can highly recommend the pizzas on a Friday. We ordered ours the day before and collected them at the arranged time. You can eat in too. The cabin has everything you need. It’s very quiet and relaxing. Definitely recommend

We had a great Stay in Bembridge at The Green House 3 adults and a dog plenty of room for us and everything we could need for our stay. Small Super Market just up the Road had everything we needed and a pub just around the corner. We had a lovely walk around the Harbour and along the beach towards the lifeboat station and also a nice walk towards the Windmill Big Thank you to Emily and Daisy for the loan of the Green House for the Bank Holiday Weekend it was a great place to stay

The property is absolutely immaculate. It is more spacious than the photos suggest. The beach is literally at the end of the drive. Such a convenient spot. And the beds!! Well, if you don’t sleep well here then you won’t sleep well anywhere. Great place. Great host. Great time.

A lovely place with an amazing view of the Solent. One afternoon we just spent with the doors open in the sunshine watching the boats come in and out. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything I needed to cook the meals, and everything was clean throughout. A really nice break, and would absolutely recommend.

We had the most wonderful stay at this lodge on the beautiful Isle of Wight. Tucked away in a peaceful caravan park just a stone’s throw from the sea, it offered the perfect mix of relaxation and seaside charm. The location couldn’t be better—waking up to the beautiful sea view and being able to stroll down to the beach in just minutes was absolute bliss. The on site pool and playground were the perfect end to a day exploring for our kids, all the staff here were friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough to help. The accommodation itself was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Everything we needed was there, from towels, a well-equipped kitchen to cozy beds and a lovely lounge area with the most stunning uninterrupted sea views . It felt more like a boutique coastal retreat than a lodge! Can’t recommend this place highly enough—whether you’re after a romantic escape, a quiet solo retreat, or a family break by the sea, this gem has it all. Thank you Rob :)

Wow wow wow!!! This property definitely has the wow factor. The views, setting and location are fabulous. You could never tire of looking across the grounds, pool and the creek. The property had everything we needed and perfect for a family with children. A few minor maintenance issues but nothing worth mentioning.

We loved the apartment - it was spotless, spacious, and in the most gorgeous seafront location. Hosts had fab communication too. We love the area and will definitely visit again in the future ☺️

We really enjoyed our holiday at Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park. Rosie’s accommodation was excellent. It had everything it said it would. It was clean, well maintained and welcoming. Rosie advised on the local amenities and was extremely friendly to deal with. Would definitely stay there again.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Shell Seekers – truly a perfect escape! The house is incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, and with the most stunning, unobstructed sea views. The location is absolutely unbeatable – right on the beach, peaceful and private, yet still close to great places to explore. It was the ideal half term getaway. Inside, the house is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. It's also dog-friendly, though the outdoor space is open, so we needed to keep a close eye on them. We loved the indoor pool, and the whole place had such a calm, welcoming atmosphere – we truly felt at home from the moment we arrived. Perhaps a couple of extra touches like some gym equipment or loungers on the upstairs balcony could make this already stunning home even more exceptional. The cleaning could have been to a better standard. Gemma was fantastic – so professional and friendly throughout our stay. We are looking forward to booking our next stay already.

We had a great stay here walking a young puppy on the private beach. The surroundings are peaceful and there were plenty of friendly dogs to meet. Andrew and Kirsty were great hosts and quick to help us out when the shower needed a new washer.

Lovely flat in the most perfect location with great views. So cosy & comfortable and spotlessly clean. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. We will return!

Communication was quick and easy with Natasha. Drove through New Forest and saw the wild horses, then soon at the Ferry. Ferry was very well organised and they even knew our names at the check in booth! Access was straightforward, very clean and tidy throughout. Literally less than 10 mins from ferry, but far enough away in a quiet little area. Beautiful clean cosy cottage, very comfortable living. Situated in an excellent position.Small gated garden opening out onto large grass area.Then steps down to beach and licensed cafe. Forest to left of the cottage-long walks and great views. Super dog friendly-seemed every where in the Isle of Wight-in multiple cafes,pubs and restaurants, dogs spoilt, given their own complementary treats and water!Fully recommended for a couple(s) or family get aways and even spoiling the pooch.Thank you very much for having us,we felt very welcomed and really enjoyed every minute-could quite easily live there! Perfect accommodation and location. Great sleep. Easy walk into Sandown and Shanklin. Nearby rail and bus services. Cliff top and a beautiful park 10 seconds away. The accommodation is special; we feel so relaxed after our stay. Superb hosts, beautiful accommodation and location.

A truly wonderful place to stay. Very unique with beautiful antique period furniture. Very peaceful and a lovely garden with outstanding views. Harry was very promt to reply to messages. He greeted us and showed us around then checked we were ok the following day. The property is very close to the town and transport links. Onsite parking was an added bonus.

Beautiful location and the houseboat was perfect for our week's break. Near a bus stop to explore the island and in Bembridge some lovely restaurants too....we would recommend Ye Old Village Pub for excellent food. The houseboat was very clean and everything you can think of was there....we would certainly return again.

Spent a lovely week staying here. Location was excellent. Easy walk into Ventnor with its selection of shops and cafes. Some lovely longer walks from the doorstep as well. Cabin was spacious and comfortable. Great bath and en-suite. Loved just watching the sea from the lounge.

Great place nestled between Bembridge village with all it has to offer and an enchanting and sheltered beach just a few hundred meters away. The house was fab, and an ideal place to relax as a family, but what really made it was Christian’s responsiveness and genuine thoughtfulness when our plans changed unexpectedly at the last minute. Very grateful and highly recommended. James
