Monthly Rentals in Scott Bar

The stars are SO bright, they look so close you could pluck them from the sky. We are definitely going to bring the telescopes the next time we come. I don’t think I have ever been in a more peaceful and QUIET surrounding. A beautiful little kitten welcomed us outside of the guest house, and the warmth and kindness was matched by that of our lovely hosts, who invited us to join them on their deck for a glass of wine when they returned from their trip. We often sat on the front porch of the guest house to enjoy watching the birds, jack rabbits, deer and foxes that roamed right through the yard. I felt like I was sitting in an old Clint Eastwood western—waiting for an outlaw to come riding over the hill. If you love the outdoors but don’t want the trouble of camping out, this place puts you right in the middle of the mountains with the comfort of home at your fingertips. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This is my second stay at the Blue House on the Corner—which should speak volumes on its own. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The home is absolutely perfect—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and very well-appointed. Karen is incredibly accommodating and responsive. It truly feels like a home away from home. As a bonus, it’s just a short walk to Five Marys—a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner with delicious food and a warm, small-town atmosphere.

Great place to stay for a short stay, we had deer show up about 30 minutes after arrival. lots of shade and a great place to sit outside at night with all the surrounding lights. Just be sure to bring your mosquito spray! very clean place and comfy bed with room for my toddler to play, inside and out! very responsive and accommodating host.
