Cottage holiday rentals in Salt Spring Island

Leah’s cabin was a perfect place for our mother-daughter getaway. The cabin was beautifully designed, very comfortable, and had some lovely and unique amenities like the wood stove! The surrounding grounds were very scenic and the lake was easily accessible. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone travelling to salt spring and are eager to come back ourselves. We found this cute Airbnb just up the road from where our son was getting married. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was perfect.

We were very pleased with everything about this rental. The house was decorated in good taste and met all of our needs. Our hosts made sure to accommodate our sensitivity to scents and cleaning products, which we were grateful for!

This Kinsol cottage is well worth the price, and is entirely private, unlike most Airbnb rentals in Vancouver Island, which are suites in someone’s house. It was clean and well designed. As an avid Airbnb booker I really appreciated that Liz had all the condiments and spices you would need for a trip away from home. The backyard is peaceful and we had no neighbours while we were there. We enjoyed the hot tub and the sound of the birds, we even had an owl land in the yard. The bedroom loft has steep stairs, which is noted in Liz’s description, you should go down them sideways (we were fine, but probably not suitable for elderly). The bed was firm yet very comfortable and the reclining loveseat had us falling asleep every night. One hour to Victoria, one hour to Nanaimo, 1 3/4 hour to Port Renfrew (if you take the Pacific Marine route be prepared for a very very windy road). Kinsol trestle was a 10 minute walk away and an amazing hike. Would I recommend Liz’s cottage, absolutely!!

We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. The hosts are wonderful. The layout of the home really lends to gathering with loved ones and this is exactly how the host designed it. My mother-in-law suggested we all have dinner at the cottage and we did. My husband and I love to cook. This is one of the few places I’ve stayed that has aprons in really good handmaids as well as sharp knives. If you’d like to cook in or grill and like being surrounded by beautiful trees and have access to a deep bathtub, then stay here! My husband and I visited family that we don’t get to see too often. This was a lovely place to do that and we plan on telling our other family members about it!

Great location. Very close to the ferries. Beautiful place. Nice and clean. We had a wonderful time. Nice covered balcony. Very comfortable beds. We highly recommend this place. We will definitely stay here again next time we are on the island. Thank you very much. We really enjoyed our stay.

My friend and I spent 3 nights at Lance and Laura’s cottage. Everything was perfect. Laura was easy to communicate with. The cottage was cozy. The property is beyond beautiful. Sitting around the fire in the evenings was a highlight. The Mayne Island Brewery and the Bennet Bay Bistro were favourites. Thank you Laura, Lance and Robyn for a wonderful weekend. We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake-side cottage. The place is right on the lake with amazing views. The interior is super cozy, with comfy couches and beds. It's one of those places where you immediately feel at home. Our hosts were incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful. We would love to come again!

We had a lovey stay. The Sweetwater distillery of theirs 200m away was an excellent experience as well. Rooms were just like the photo and clean. Great spot for a getaway. Not walking distance to Ganges or too much, but car or bike make it easily accessible. Very private, quiet and a great place to make your own for a while. Thank you Fiona.

The street was very quiet. I think there was only one or two other cabins that were being used that week, which means we had a very peaceful stay. We locked out it was also very sunny the entire week. The place was amazing with big windows, it was clean, bright and beautiful. Thank you very much Cheryl. We had a wonderful stay. Stayed for a week and it felt like home away from home. Had everything we needed. Located in a quiet location with lots of hiking nearby. The cottage is bright, clean, roomy, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our dog was particularly fond of the sun room where she could watch the deer on their morning visits. We hope to be back!

Beautiful home is overlooking Bennett Bay. Enjoy the peaceful bird sanctuary like feel with incredible ocean views for the daily sunrise. Amber is kind and very responsive. Don’t miss out on this amazing place ! We’ll be back soon.

This was one of my favourite airbnbs I’ve ever stayed! The photos do not do it justice. The cabin is beautiful and cozy. Our favourite part of this stay was the two border collies that followed us around we absolutely adored them. The skylight above the bed at night with the stars was unreal.

Michael was quick to respond to my requests. Behind the cottage it is beautiful and would have been nice to enjoy except for the weather when we were there. I would have loved to dine outside. You can walk to downtown and there is a bakery and small grocery across the street. Very convenient for 2 people.

Wonderful hosts, respectful of privacy and very accommodating. A great place to stay in a great community. An excellent experience!

What an absolute treasure of a location! We had a glorious time & thoroughly enjoyed the beach access & the serenity of the property. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Larissa and Josh were the most wonderful hosts, some of the best I’ve ever encountered on my airbnb journeys. They were extra accommodating as we had our baby with us, and have a wonderful cafe as well where we tested some amazing treats. First time going to Galiano but if I go back that’s where I’m staying, the place was pristine, big and the views from the patio, living room and bedroom and stunning, you can ask all my IG likes and comments lol Thank you for a memorable weekend!

Lovely stay at Maple Ridge Cottages, cute little cozy space to hangout by the lake. This would be the perfect place in the summer while you can jump into the lake and use the provided water equipment (canoe, paddle-boards) enjoyed the wood burning fireplace at night and cooked our own meals on the BBQ. Only a short driving distance to town.

This has to be my favourite Airbnb we have stayed in. The cottage itself was stunning, with nice decor, comfortable furniture and everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The large windows provided lots of natural light and an amazing view to the ocean. What I loved most is that we were surrounded by nature listening to the birds and watching the deer grazing right outside the windows. This has been such a peaceful and serene experience!
