  • This cabin was was the epitome of a relaxing, cozy anniversary weekend in the mountains. My husband and I are both biologists and were in awe of the number of birds (juncos, jays, boreal owls, ravens, chickadees and finches to name a few), mule deer, coyotes and even A JUVENILE BULL MOOSE that wandered by. Sparkling clean, tasteful cabin quaint decor, dog-friendly (the boys loved the great number of sticks at their disposal; they give the pine trees 5-stars for stick abundance). I was worried the cabin would be less secluded than we expected as you drive in and see several homes and cabins near by, but to our delight this property is set up on an incline and perfectly private with mountain views. The hot tub is brand new, clean and very hot upon arrival. Comfy beds with comfy pillows, a cozy, easy to use wood fire for chilly mountain nights, a well-equipped cabin kitchen (thank God because I forgot to pack the corkscrew). In summary, this cabin is the ideal mountain retreat if you seek solitude, relaxation, wilderness with all the comforts of home, or good vibes only. We cannot wait to return one day soon.

  • David’s place is the perfect cabin for a quick getaway from Denver. The views are spectacular and the quietness of the area is perfect for relaxing. The hot tub is a really excellent amenity that can’t be beat, and the windows to the deck allow for some fun bird watching - what a treat!!

  • Amazing place and wonderful host! Pics do not clearly define the amazing beauty of the cabin and the wonderful scenery around. We had a fabulous time and will be back!

  • David's place is a fantastic getaway! There are trails nearby, and its in a beautiful secluded area that has the real Colorado cabin vibe. The cabin has a ton of homey touches, and not to mention, a hot tub. David was great with communication leading up to and following the stay. 100% recommend!

“The Refuge" is so named because it’s a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Nestled into rock-outcroppings, my home has two decks, one tucked cozily by rocks and one with an expansive view of the mountains to the west. This guest room has the best view in the house. If you are wanting a mountain getaway for an extended stay or on business, this place will soothe your soul. I live here too, with two cats, two small dogs and a downstairs tenant. Week or longer due to corona virus.
Great for individuals or couples mostly. There are stairs to get up to the bedroom and main floor. If you are allergic to cats or dogs I do not recommend staying at my home. I keep it clean and vacuumed, but the pets have the run of the house. This home is a smoke free, drug free home.
The neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is fairly quiet and it feels remote even though it's not. You will likely see birds, squirrels and deer while here or maybe even a fox.
  • Justin has a beautiful home in the mountains. It is incredibly relaxing and we had a great time enjoying the hot tub and hiking in the area. His directions on how to get to the place are very helpful - we arrived at night during a snowstorm but had no problem finding the place thanks to his instructions. His pets are very friendly as well!

    Kate2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect little get away tucked in the mountains with an excellent view. Justin is a great host and his place is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. His fur babies were wonderful little companions. Highly recommend!

  • Nicest place I have stayed so far...

    Cliff2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

  • Great place, nice host and amazing pets.

  • Justin's refuge was one of our favorite Airbnb stays we've had. Justin is very hospitable and his cats and dogs are fun and adorable! We stayed for 4 weeks, and it was exactly the experience we were hoping for coming in... peaceful, serene, and simply difficult to part with afterwards. It's rare when we return to the same Airbnb twice, but this is one of those rarities that would bring us back.

    Marcus2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Refuge is truly a home away from home. I've stayed here before and will stay her again. Justin is incredibly kind and a wonderful host. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. I can't say enough good things about this home.

    Gus2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Stay with Justin!!!! Colorado is a beautiful place and Justin’s place was awesome. Justin is a great host that makes life easy. His animals were friendly. We saw deer twice on his front porch while we were there. Beautiful sunset on his back porch every night. First time using an Airbnb and I was nervous but Justin made it an enjoyable experience. If you’re going to Colorado, stay with Justin! He’s very welcoming!

Take a break from the world and enjoy 3.5 wooded acres at 9,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains. This home is designed and inspired by hygge (hu-geh), a Danish word and lifestyle that evokes the feeling of coziness, well-being, and simple pleasures. An outdoor steam sauna, 2 decks, and amazing views await you. Get cozy, explore, play games, hammock, read, take day trips, and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Refocus, rejuvenate, and relax in this intentionally curated space...
COVID-19 UPDATE: The chalet has been closed since late March. Plans and preparations to re-open for June are underway. Please be aware of changes that override anything else written on this listing. June and July now have a 4-night minimum for Coloradans and a week minimum for out-of-state. Only those driving are able to book. If you are flying, please do not book. 2 guests max. Only families, friends, partners, etc. who live in the SAME house can book together. For bookings that fall on the same day as another reservation, check in is 4pm and check-out is 10am. I will let you know what times your booking will fall under. This allows more time for extra sanitizing and cleaning. During these last few months, I have made a lot of updates to the cabin, which are not yet reflected in the photos. These changes are for the better, of course, so I can't wait to surprise you with them! With the gift of time, I also discovered miles of private trail from the property into the national forest, complete with huge aspen groves and a stream the entire way! Details will be given upon booking. Please message me for any other questions or concerns you have. Follow on Instagram and tag your stay @hyggechalet_co The Hygge Chalet is located in the rural Rocky Mountains of Colorado, It is only 1 hour from downtown Denver and 1 hour to multiple ski resorts. There is an abundance of outdoor activities nearby that make perfect for day trips in the mountains. Upon booking, a personalized website detailing all the things to do and see will be provided. The home is a 1970's A-Frame, inspired by Scandinavia. It has a modern and clean design with a cottage vibe. Living Essentials: The home is 1400 square feet with an open floor plan. There is a full kitchen with granite counters, high-quality cookware, and all dining essentials. Basics such as, cooking oil, salt and pepper, a few spices, condiments, etc. are provided. A fair-trade and organic hot drink bar with Chemex coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is also yours to indulge in. The home is stocked with good reads, lots of board games, an iPad for movies, music, and information, a Bluetooth speaker loud enough to fill the home, a gas fireplace for ambiance, and a drawer of candles, incense, and oils to help create your own hygge vibes. All high-quality linens, towels, robes, and slippers are freshly-washed. Bed & Bath: Both the loft and bedroom have super comfortable memory foam queen beds. The bathroom has a walk-in shower (no tub) and many toiletries and extras you might need. Sauna: The barrel steam sauna truly sets this place apart from all the rest. It's easy to use and allows you to sauna bathe in the traditional Finnish way by pouring water onto heated rocks to create steam. Most nights in the Rockies are clear enough to see the Milky Way and star-gazing is exceptional here, especially when taking a cool-down break from the sauna. Outdoor Living: The 3.5 acres of land is mostly wooded and backs up to National Forest. There are 2 decks and a porch area with stunning views, cafe lights, a picnic table, a gas grill for cooking out (seasonal), and plenty of hammocks (also seasonal) and Adirondack chairs to keep you content. Behind the home is a street art-inspired mural with an Aspen and Mandala scene created by a local Denver artist. Please Note: While the home is very private and at the top of the hill, it is in a neighborhood and has proximity with the main road. Depending on the weather and traffic (especially holiday weekends), the sounds from the road vary. If you're expecting absolute silence and seclusion, this might not be the place for you. In winter, this proximity to highway is appreciated by guests because of the snow. Like most mountain homes in the area, there are a few neighbors nearby. This lowers the environmental impact of development, but also means you'll see a few other homes on your way up. While the home sits at the top of a hill and is surrounded by trees, private does not mean secluded. The closest neighbors are Nicki and Damon. They are very friendly and hospitable. Nicki is the cleaner/assistant for the chalet and Damon does general maintenance along with snow plowing... so feel free to wave or say "Hi!" if you see them! They're great to have nearby if an urgent need should arise.
Upon booking, you will be provided with a website I've created that is filled with day-trip itineraries, lots of information on places to visit, things to do and see, places to hike/snowshoe, and places to eat and drink. It also includes an interactive map with categories and distances from the chalet to help you plan your trip! I am passionate about Colorado and dedicated to making your visit one for the books! The chalet is located just off of 285, which is a plowed, well-maintained highway to get you safely and easily exploring. The home is right next to Guanella Pass, which provides an incredible mountain drive of spectacular views, other-worldy landscapes at 12,000 feet, big horn sheep, winding streams, waterfalls, and lots of hiking. The pass takes you to the cutest mountain town, Georgetown and other neat places along the i-70 corridor. This is also one of the most sought-after locations for aspen leaf peeping in fall. The pass is closed in winter (late-Nov to late-May) but there is still plenty to do in winter and Georgetown/i-70 is accessible through Evergreen all year. Going over Kenosha Pass takes you to South Park (yes, the town from the TV show), Buena Vista, Salida, etc. which is an area loaded with things to do and see all year round, including 2 exceptional hot springs! The cabin is close to stunning hikes of various difficulties, world-class fishing, adventure activities (zip-line, whitewater, etc.), cultural and historical activities (ghost towns, mining for gold, dinosaur fossils, etc.), surreal leaf peeping in the fall, horseback riding, ATV, train rides, sleigh rides, snowshoeing/snowmobiling in winter, cute mountain towns to explore, and so many fantastic local breweries, distilleries, and restaurants. The are a couple cafes nearby where you can experience true mountain friendliness. The closest and the best (just down the hill) is the Shaggy Sheep. Make sure to stop in and say "Hi!" to Sarah and Chris. Red Rocks Amphitheater is just 40 minutes away. This is considered one of the best places in the world to see a concert and doing so should be on anyone's bucket list. Check the website for the schedule. Even if you can't make a show, the park is on the way to/from Denver and well-worth a visit. The closest ski resort is Breckenridge at just an hour's drive (and a beautiful one) and is a perfect day trip to ski/snowboard or just hang around in a beautiful ski town (there is a lot to do and see here no matter the time of year). Vail is 2 hours away and there are a handful of others just 1.5 hours away. There are plenty of mountain activities to fill your days with during ALL of Colorado's incredible 4 seasons! Each season provides a different experience, but no matter what time of year you comes, no matter which direction you go, and no matter what you decide to do, the drives will be beautiful and there will plenty to keep you occupied and content.
  • This was a magnificent getaway. An easy drive from Denver, and yet you feel totally secluded. The Sauna was the best amenity, so, so lovely! Plus, the small touches of the chemex coffee maker, the snacks, sparkling water, and extra toothbrushes and toothpaste made us feel so comfortable. I also loved the sustainability that is at the forefront of this place...natural bath products, seventh generation toilet paper, reusable mugs, recycling is a must, and organic and fair trade food items. Every detial is thought of in this place! We will return again soon!

  • Truly a beautiful space. Amazing sunrise and sunsets cast across the mountains. The big bright moon shining into your bedroom window (if you choose to leave the curtains open). The perfect getaway spot. Will return for sure!

  • This place was the definition of serenity. It’s cozy and elegant and me and my girlfriend couldn’t have had a better experience here. The views are amazing and the decor throughout the house is delightful. There is plenty of things to do around the area. If you want a private exclusion in the mountains with wonderful amenities this is the place for you.

    Blake2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The hygge chalet exceeded our expectations! The home is warm and cozy with thoughtful touches as soon as you walk in the door. Very private and Serene. With it being so private make sure you load up on grocery’s before you get there the nearest store is 30-40 minutes away! Just be prepared and you will have a lovely time. I throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again when we are in the area! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

    Crystal2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Hygge Chalet is outstanding! Everything we wanted and more in a weekend getaway in the mountains. The pictures, although accurate, don’t do it enough justice. The chalet is an ultra cozy, sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and well appointed home. I thought twice about leaving such a glowing review for fear it would be booked so often we’d never be able to get back there again. But....everyone should have a chance to experience such a jewel. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!

    Tanya2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is WONDERFUL! Highly suggest staying here. I had no issues whatsoever. Great location, super clean, and very stylish. Plenty of room and Amenities. Loved my stay!

  • If you are looking for a unique and cozy get away in the mountains, this is your place! I’m this busy world there isn’t a lot of time away from electronics. But here we spent time playing games listening to music and laughing! The perfect location! Gorgeous drive to Breckenridge and other ski slopes or you can be in Denver in less than 2 hrs. The place was easy to get to with a 4 whee drive. Very spotless and had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend

    Nicole2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to leave this review here. Julie has created an incredibly special place in the mountains and I would 100% recommend it for anyone looking to get away at any time of year. The Hygge chalet is better than it is in pictures. Every single detail has been thoughtfully considered and selected--down to chemex and delicious coffee and snacks, to the Scandinavian furnishings, bedding, sauna, and bathroom extras. This is one of those moments where the pictures don't do justice to the place. We stayed here with friends visiting from out of town and the whole weekend, we were surprised and delighted discovering one detail after another. Julie's list of activities was also perfect. We are new to CO and don't know the area that well, but we had a magical weekend driving through the mountains and snowmobiling in Breckenridge, per Julie's suggestions (about 1 hour drive away). On a personal note, I lived in Denmark a few years ago and Julie has truly captured and essence and joy of "hygge" in that she created a beautiful space of rest, relaxation, with little notes of luxury that are appropriate for the mountains and a weekend away. We all felt in awe of nature, quiet, and the joy of good friendship after this short weekend. And finally on a side note, Julie was an amazing host. I had a number of questions, changes, and reservation issues with Airbnb and she addressed them immediately and was very concerned with us having a great weekend. (Airbnb also did eventually address the issues.) We will definitely be back!

Five acres of undeveloped land with mountain view for you to dry camp on away from it all. We don’t have trees, so hammock camping isn’t possible yet (we’re considering adding some posts). No amenities are provided and you’ll need to bring your own tent/RV.

  • We had a great time even though everything was closed. The cabin itself was perfect. We will be booking again once everything returns to normal. The walks around the property and the hot tub were incredible.

    Jimena2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • We booked a week at the cabin intending to snowboard a couple days, and explore the surrounding towns. Due to resorts being closed, the week ended up being a little different than we originally planned, however, it was the perfect way to socially distance. The space is lovely. We loved spending time in the hot tub, that was a great amenity! But, highlight was definitely the moose, who visited for three days!

    Kari2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • I almost (selfishly) don't want to tell everyone how AMAZING this place is. But you guys..this home is PERFECT. BOOK IT NOW. STAY FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. Its truly better than the photos somehow. A literal DREAM. *This is his wife writing because I knew his review wouldnt be good enough* LOL

    Dylan2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie did an excellent job of communicating check-in and stay information prior to our arrival. We had an incredible 3-night stay at the cabin - it was the perfect getaway! We loved being just outside of Fairplay, near enough to neighbors but still feeling secluded when sitting on the back porch (what a view!). We spent time in Fairplay (such an adorable town) and went on day hiking trips near Twin Lakes and near Breckenridge. It's a great home base for that sort of thing. Hanging out in the cabin itself was equally as wonderful. The best part was sitting in the hot tub at night and being able to see all of the stars!

    Emma2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great location great stay just make sure you have an awd car lol our friends got stuck for a couple hours

    Taylor2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had an excellent experience. This cabin is unique, cozy, and peaceful. It’s tucked back at the end of a long driveway and nestled in the woods, so you have almost no sight line to the neighbors and you can hear nothing but the sounds of nature. The hot tub is an awesome way to relax amidst the aspens and stars. Also, it’s pet-friendly, which made this place 100% of what we were looking for.

This super cool condo is in the heart of it all. It's a perfect home base for everything Breck has to offer. Cross the street to the lift and afterwards: cozy up by the wood fire, jump in the hot tub, or have a margarita in the restaurant downstairs!
THE UNIT: Our 390 Square foot condo is finished in a hip, mountain-contemporary style and has everything you'll need. It the perfect size for a couple or small family and includes: - King bed - Full size pull-out couch (it's pretty uncomfortable to be honest) - Eating bar - Full-size stainless-steel kitchen - Slate bathroom with shower - Wood-burning fireplace - Small balcony (sadly, no big mountain views, unit faces another building) - Wood and slate floors -Apple TV, wireless internet, cable TV BUILDING: Der Steiermark is a small, older building. It has no front desk and, frankly, the common areas lack style. Although it isn't a big fancy hotel, there are decent amenities: - Outdoor hot tub (at the base of an outdoor courtyard) - Heated, locked underground parking (one space only) - Elevator access - Best Mexican Restaurant/Bar in town: Mi Casa - A full-service ski/board/bike shop - Free wood for fireplace - Coin-operated laundry down the hall.
The condo is located a short walk to the Quicksilver Ski Lift at Peak 9, summer hiking trails, and Breckenridge's shopping and dining on Main Street. It is in the Der Steiermark building, above a great Mexican restaurant and ski shop.
  • This studio was the PERFECT place for our ski trip. Literally steps away from the lifts And all the restaurants/shops in downtown Breck. With a full kitchen, we were able to cook bomb breakfasts before hitting the slopes and make snacks for a cozy night by the fire...It had everything we needed and more. Thank you Jack and Jerrod!!!

  • Had a blast staying here! Super convenient to ski rentals, ski lifts, food, shops, and the shuttles! Absolutely loved finishing a long day of skiing next to the fireplace. Would definitely stay here again!

    Katie2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect, location, ease of check in, communication and style! 3 min walk to the Quicksilver lift. Don't look any further if you need a small apartment in Breckenridge.

  • This studio is in a great spot! Very close to peak 9 in the village. Above a popular Mexican restaurant and walking distance to well stocked grocery. Lots of shops and eateries around the corner. Inside condo is well decorated and comfortable. Kitchen is well appointed. Water pressure is great! Hosts attentive. Super convenient parking provided. A couple or small family like ours will love this place!

    Barbara & Robert2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible location! Right across the street from the lifts and a 2 minute walk to the main drag in town. If you’re visiting Breckenridge, you can’t ask for a better spot. There’s also a ski rental place at the base of the building which was incredibly convenient.

    Kevin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful time at this condo! The location could not be more perfect. We were able to walk everywhere which was super convenient since parking can be crazy on main. The condo was very nice and cozy and met all of our needs.

Our property runs about 7 acres and merges with BLM land so the expansive views seem endless. Meander through the wooded path to the enchanting meadow, taking in the deep chimes scattered amongst the pines and aspens. Savor a healing soak in the private two-person hot tub. Cuddle on the loveseat swing-bench with a panoramic view of the Collegiate Peaks. Retreat to the beautiful sunroom. Stretch on the ballet barre or chill out with singing bowls, a good book, or a sketchpad. Enjoy your meals in the cabin dining nook or at one of the tables on the covered decks. Then escape for a snooze on the two-person hammock. • Whether it’s your first time in an Airbnb or your millionth, Mark and Bianca will provide you with hospitality and views far beyond your imagination! We celebrated a bachelorette trip but we all could imagine a couples retreat in this space as well. It’s truly the little things that count, and M and B take into account everything!

  • This has been our favorite Air bnb! The place is so cute and cozy and not to mention it is a gorgeous mountain oasis. If you are looking for the perfect Colorado stay, look not further. The hot tub was a great way to end a long day and there is a beautiful Mountain View just a short walk away. I would stay here again and again. Mark and Bianca were we’re absolutely amazing hosts. Everything was so clean and they really helped make this stay amazing. From shuttling us up the driveway in the snow to cleaning off our car and helping us with a little dinner, this place truly has it all. We will definitely be back in the summer!!

    Konrad2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Bianca were wonderful hosts with a gorgeous property nestled up in the mountains just west of Denver. We thoroughly enjoyed our winter getaway at their place for the weekend. The property is gorgeous, and the home very comfortable. They did a great job plowing the driveway for us so that it was easy for us to get up the driveway in the snow. They are extremely considerate hosts and had some great recommendations of places to eat in the surrounding area.

Experience life in the Colorado Rockies as it was 100 years ago! We have added some 20th century to the mix. Walk out to 1000 acres of Nat. Forest, rockhounding, fishing and reconnecting with nature. 40 min from Co. Spgs & 30 min from Cripple Creek.
Our 1860's cabin started out as a stagecoach stop and was turned into a homestead in the 1880's. The cabin sits on our 21 acre horse ranch. It backs to the Pike National Forest. Lake George is famous for rockhounding. The Prospector's show on the Weather Channel is filmed around Lake George. The cabin is a mile off of highway 24 but feels secluded. There is a country store, restaurant and liquor store within a couple miles. There is a cooktop, pots and pans, dishes, utensils. toaster, refrigerator, microwave, outside a grill with supplies.Keurig coffee maker complete with coffee, tea and cocoa. Bagels and cream cheese and some fresh eggs from our chickens. Woodstove with plenty of firewood and a firepit outside.DVD player with movies.
Lake George is only 40 minutes from Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the Winds are located there. We are 30 minutes from Cripple Creek..turn of the century gambling town. The Royal Gorge is an hour south.
  • Amazing property to get away from it all. Will be back!

  • The cabin was exactly what you’d hope for!

    Madison2020-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is rustic and charming. Stephanie was an amazing host and responded quickly to our questions. We especially loved the great coffee, the huge stack of firewood and the heated mattress pad! Strongly recommend this Historic cabin and surrounding National Forest!

    Deborah2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing experience! This cabin gave you the feel of historic living while maintaining the more necessary/comfort amenities of modern life ( electricity or having to use an outhouse). That said, this is a historic cabin and does lack some of the less necessary comforts of a modern place. The bathroom has no door, just curtains (which really wasn't a turn off for us as it gave it a historic feeling experience). The cabin is drafty but there is a nice wood burning stove that will keep the place warm enough if you know how to use it and there is a heated mattress pad and warm, down or down alternative duvet to keep you warm throughout the night. As our dog doesn't sleep with us through the night, we did have to wake up occasionally to put another few logs on the fire in the middle of the night so she wouldn't be cold, but really it wasn't much inconvenience and added to the historic experience we were going for. I'm only saying this as it might not be the experience for everyone but we really appreciated all of it. I kept having to pinch myself at how cool the experience was. The wifi didn't have the greatest connection but really, are you there to look at your phone or your tablet? It was sufficient for posting some photos of our experience on Facebook or sending pictures via text message. Stephanie was there to greet us when we arrived and was removing her cleaning supplies which gave us a good indication the place was clean. Honestly, it looked clean as well. She was also great with responding via text when we had questions. There was Roku and subscriptions to a few services on the TV for entertaining ourselves at night when we got tired of the game we brought. There were pamphlets and books on what to do in the area. Our dog really appreciated the enclosed yard around the cabin. It was quite large and fun for her to explore. Thank you again Stephanie for a great stay!!!

  • We can’t say enough about the sweet little cabin at Idlewild Ridge Ranch! The spot was easily accessible and just off the highway but felt super secluded! This was the perfect rustic but very romantic cabin! My husband really enjoyed building fires in the wood stove and I enjoyed the claw foot tub! The bed couldn’t have been any comfier & we LOVED the heated mattress pad - it really kept us warm on very cold nights. I knew we may not get cell reception (AT&T) but the Wifi worked perfectly & we had no problems FaceTiming our kids back in NC. Stephanie was very prompt in communication and the keypad entry for check-in was very convenient. We loved exploring the property and found some beautiful gems along the way! My only complaint is that we didn’t get to stay longer!!

    Kimberly2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We planned the stay for our anniversary and it was great. We had cozy fires and great hiking nature experiences. We were able to take our dog with us and had a big fenced yard so it worked out pretty well.

    Carrie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesomely unique stay. The history of the place alone is cool but Stephanie has decorated this old cabin into an extraordinary experience. We loved having our own yard for our dog to run and play. The view of PikeNF was beautiful. We had the pleasure of meeting their horses and getting a hug from one of them. It was great that the cabin is located close to convenience store and the pizza was awesome there. Easy access to the highway but we never heard any road noise. This was our first Airbnb and everything was beyond expectations! The hosts are great people.

    Laura2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very well decorated and comfortable. Dwayne greeted us as we arrived and informed us on some of the attractions in the area; including the best one of all, the back yard! We met Stephanie a bit later, and she was very sweet and helpful. Such an amazing place to relax, would definitely recommend!

The unit was very clean and very close to downtown Buena Vista restaurants and shops, with easy check in and check out. Great high speed internet. Bathroom was fully stocked with soap, shampoo, etc. We would be interested in staying there the next time we stay in Buena Vista.

  • Jill is Fantastic !!!!!!!!! Amazing views. I loved hiking with goats and feeding wildlife.

  • Great space, very kind, and a beautiful view

    Aryonna2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent time at this cabin! It’s so cozy and inviting. It was exactly as described with all the amenities you’d find at your own home. Jill was extremely flexible with our check-in which we greatly appreciated! She answered questions quickly and gave excellent driving directions on how to get to her place. (Make sure you have AWD!) The location was private and the views were outstanding!! We would absolutely stay here again when we go back to Colorado!

    Jessica2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The photos you see absolutely do not do the place justice. It was absolutely perfect. There were deer, birds, squirrels, it was just a perfect winter wonderland. It is a perfect getaway from everyday life. We took our Nissan Rogue AWD (no snow tires) and we needed to get some snow chains (we got stuck) to make it out the mountain. Make sure you have AWD or 4WD (the mountain is no joke, you will get stuck during winter), or some snow chains, they aren’t too pricey. Just expect to see the most beautiful view everyday, and a family of super friendly deer every morning. Hopefully you get to meet Martha (super badass old lady next door). If you’re thinking about staying in the city instead, DONT it is beyond perfect here. Just book it!!! Jill is amazing you will love the trip here. Make sure to visit coffee bean and bakery, about 5 minutes away from the place (just have to make it out the mountain). I would drive back from Texas just for their bread. We loved biker Jim’s gourmet dogs in Denver and Marcos coal fired pizza. Also if you need something warm, pho haus (Denver) is perfect for that. Visit evergreen!! Oh and there is over 100 acres to hike in around the cabin!! You will have so much fun. Thank you Jill!

    Elizabeth2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely better than expected, my stay was absolutely amazing! Jill was extremely helpful, outstanding hospitality, the place was so so nice, clean, amazing view, so cozy, full of games and stuff to do inside of the cabin, we never wanted to leave! She was there for us whenever we needed but also let us have our privacy. The house was very clean and cozy, pictures do not do this amazing piece of property justice.

  • Where to start. Jeff and his wife's cabin is the perfect place to get out of the city and relax . It is secluded, clean and offers all ammenities needed for a comfortable stay. My group (3) had sufficient space and never were stepping on one another's toes. Upon arrival we immediately extended our trip and booked another! 5/5 would highly recommend.

  • Jeff’s place was so different from anywhere I’ve stayed. He was communicating to me the whole stay, and making sure everything was going as planned. The hot tub is killer! The cabin is well secluded from society. It’s so cozy! Will definitely be back.

    Jaci2020-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a perfect place for a relaxing getaway weekend. The views of the mountains are breathtaking! You really feel like your in the middle of the woods and it is so quiet and peaceful! Our favorite things were the wood burning stove and the hot tub. Both were easy to use and very enjoyable. We loved seeing the deer and chipmunks everywhere they even came up close to us! The location was good only a 30 min drive into fairplay which has everything you need. We can’t wait to come back again!

Our family built a straw bale and earthship home off the grid on 44 acres. We are opening up the straw bale home to airbnb guests and are happy to show and explain how the earthship works. We provide wood and a fire pit seating area for beautiful nights under the stars. (The house is located at roughly 10,000 feet and from the highway the house is two miles on unmaintained roads. It is possible, although rare, that the house may be inaccessible by car during the winter months. Dec.-Mar.)
The straw bale home is very cozy and comfortable with two new queen size beds, a stove, nice living room with a great view of the mountains to the west, a bathroom with a bathtub shower and a fully equipped kitchen.
The south park valley is huge and ranches are very spread out. We often see antelope foxes and big jack rabbits in the area.
  • If you are looking for an oasis of solitude, beauty, hospitality, and overall get-away-from-it-all-ness, this is your place!

    Rebecca2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at the straw bale house! Peaceful and quiet, beautiful mountain views, and a fireplace to keep things cozy! Our 5 year old son loved playing with their friendly dog! There was no WiFi and we didn’t get good cell service, but that is ok because we just wanted to unplug and enjoy some family time! If there hadn’t been a fire ban, we would have loved to have a cookout at the fire pit! The place was clean and well stocked and Kip and family were very friendly!

  • Place was so peaceful!

    Kyle2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay at the Strawbale house! It was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable, and you can’t beat the views of sunsets and stars. Not too far from places to pick up supplies, and miles upon miles of beautiful hikes and drives nearby. The house is clean, warm, and cozy. Minimal cell service was a plus & helped us unwind. Thanks for a great stay!

  • Thanks for another great stay!

    Thomas2019-09-15T00:00:00Z

Ski-in, Shuttle-out condo in the heart of downtown Breckenridge. You can't ask for a better location, giving you easy access to skiing, restaurants, shopping & all the festivals & events that take place in Breck. The is a cozy Studio condo with Queen Bed + sleep sofa. Free onsite parking, iWiFi & Cable TV & Netflix. As a bonus, the ground floor of the building has a ski shop, liquor store & restaurant. THIS IS MORE THAN JUST AN AIRBNB, THIS IS A HOTEL EXPERIENCE AT AIRBNB PRICES.
This is the perfect location for your winter getaway. The condo sits on the Blue River between Main St and South Park Ave. On the front side of the building, there’s a ski run (4 O’Clock Run) that you can ski or ride down from the resort all the way into town that ends directly across the street from the condo. Also, in front of the building, there’s a Free Ride bus stop that will take you right to the Gondola or to the base of Peaks 8 & 9. On the Back of the condo is Main St & the Riverwalk where you’ll find plenty of amazing restaurants, nightlife & shopping. You can bring your car but trust me, you won’t need it once you’re here. As an added bonus, the ground floor of the condo building has ski shop where you can rent your equipment or get a tune up, a liquor / general store and Asian Fusion restaurant. How’s that for convenience!
What we love most about our condo is the location. We are simply the best location in Breckenridge. Our home is great for those that want to enjoy both the mountain and the town. Listen to concerts in the summer, check out the town Christmas tree, or explore over 200 shops and restaurants downtown - all just steps from the condo.
  • Peter's spot was in an awesome location. Unfortunately, we were not able to ski due to the resorts closing but the Airbnb was very much enjoyed! Views great, kitchen great for cooking, walkability 10/10 and no noise from hallway or neighbor's. Highly recommend staying at this spot!

    Morgan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice place, comfortable bed, nice view out back

    Amy2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful sights! And it faces the main strip. Everything you need is in walking distance from this place! Beautiful town and a clean and spacious studio. Great place for a weekend getaway or full vacation. Highly recommended staying here and Peter is amazing, He gets back to you quickly with any questions you have!

    Joseph2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is everything you want. It’s a short beautiful walk to downtown and all the best restaurants and coffee spots. It has a fantastic ski rental company right next to it that provides gear above what we expected. There is a bus stop .2 miles away that takes you to the gondola which gets you up the mountain so traveling in ski boots is very approachable. The four o clock run ends literally right across the street and was the coolest thing to ski basically right to your door. Peters place is great and ski ready. We would definitely stay here again because you just can’t beat the location!

    Dalton2020-02-18T00:00:00Z

  • Anita's tiny house was perfect for my getaway! I wanted something cute, easy, and practical. The house is located in a tiny home, RV and small cabin neighborhood loop. This made no difference however, because it was so peaceful and quiet! Anita, Alex and Haley were great hosts and so quick to respond. I definitely recommend a stay here!

    Kirstin2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • It's a rustic feeling cabin in a secluded town. The views are great. This is a wonderful place for getaway. There are plenty of outdoor activities in the area as well.

    Calvin2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy cabin in quiet Como with great views of the mountains! Loved sitting by the fireplace at night. Had a great time!! Thank you!!

    Daniel2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Randy’s cabin style cottage was a perfect secluded get away my girlfriend and I were looking for. The location is about 35-40 minutes from Breckenridge but is off the beaten path. The views of the snow cover mountains and hills were great. The cottage is quaint and comfortable. The antique iron fire place was the best element in the house. Find the location and checking in was a breeze. If you are looking for a quiet and affordable place to stay and take in the outdoors for skiing, hiking, or maybe even hunting, this is the spot.

    Jon2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our visit to Como, excellent hiking, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. The cabin was great, clean, cozy, and well appointed. Easy check in and out. We'll be back!

  • Great house, and a great little town! It’s worth looking into the history of Como.

    Nicholas2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, clean, and very affordable. Beautiful surrounding area and about 45 minutes from Breckenridge. Would recommend for anyone traveling with outdoor activities in mind.

    Matthew2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Como. It was the perfect place for our family. Our kids absolutely loved playing in the loft and being able to bring our dog is kind of a necessity for us. It is really a fun cabin with everything we needed. Como is kind of a cool historic ghost town with beautiful mountains all around. Can't get much better than that for our family. We were all sad we had to leave and wished we could have stayed longer.

Our place is .5 miles to restaurants, family-friendly activities, nightlife, to the base of peak 9/Quicksilver chairlift. You can walk into town (about 10 min). Plus, there is also a free bus (Brown route, we will have more info on scheduling for you at the condo). Our place has a full size kitchen and we have most of the essentials that you will need during your stay (coffee maker & filters, cooking utensils, pots & pans, etc.). Feel free to reach out if there's anything else you need!
QUIET HOURS are 10 pm to 8 am. NO parties or loud music is allowed. If we receive a noise complaint during your stay, you will be fined $200 PER noise complaint. We have a pack-n-play with sheet for any families that will need it. I know this sounds crazy, but you could put the pack in play in the closet (roughly 5x5 square feet). There is a door into the vanity/sink area. Then, two more rooms off of the vanity (toilet/shower and big closet). You don’t have to shut the closet door as you could close the door to the vanity so the adults could hang out at night and not wake the baby! Check out the pictures to see what I’m talking about and feel free to ask me any questions as I'm a mom. Just remodeled our bathroom with new floors and a beautiful tiled shower! *If you have a baby with you during your stay... It is a stand up shower, but we do have a baby tub stowed away in the closet so you can give your baby bath in the shower if need be! NO DOGS allowed: Our HOA does NOT ALLOW. Breckenridge Business License No: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
Close to town but not in the hustle and bustle.
  • Great locations, amazing hosts!

  • Lila was a super responsive host, and the view at the location was absolutely breathtaking. Our family loved relaxing in the living area and outside. Nightly campfires with s’mores were one of the many highlights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Scott2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. It was the rest and relaxation we were looking for. The cabin had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We’ll be back!

    Paige2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing time! Cabin has the most beautiful views and with little cell service and no wifi unplugging from city life was most relaxing. We ended up being stuck an extra night because of road closures due to 100 mph winds and Lila was most accommodating, we will definitely be back!

    Courtney2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lila's home is welcoming, private and very family friendly. The community is great. The only disappointment is that we wish that we had more time. We will definitely be back!

  • Cozy and convenient!

    Hayden2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place in Fairplay was great. Very stylish place tucked away in the mountains, but not too far from civilization (the closest brewery is about 10 min away). The internet worked well, there were board games our group used, climate control worked beautifully, a coffee pot, ample bedding...the list goes on. I wanted for nothing our entire stay. My one word of caution would be to make sure you have all wheel drive and good ground clearance as the snow can be a bit tough to manage. We found ourselves sucked into a ditch at one point, but a friendly local had us pulled out in no time and we still made our show on time in Breckenridge! I’d highly recommend this Air BnB to anyone looking for a stylish mountain getaway at a great price.

    Riley2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a weekend and loved the house. It’s the perfect place for a quiet weekend in. The house is secluded and very quiet. We opted to stay in during the snowy weekend and cook our meals at the house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was great for snowshoeing. The house is stylish and comfortable though not large enough for more than 2-3 people in my opinion. Definitely a great place in a beautiful location.

    Anna2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and stylish place and the host was very quick to respond on any questions or concerns we had.

    Jesse2020-02-07T00:00:00Z

  • Nice little private home. Amenities were amazing when needed. Town was nice and friendly. The view of this home was just outstanding. Would recommend to others on this home.

    Marcos2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location if you're looking for peace and quiet. We stayed two nights and saw no neighbors from the deck. Really enjoyed the view/surroundings (plenty of trees). Saw a moose about 50ft off the deck. Enjoyed the distance to town (5 min drive) while feeling remote. My wife found the bed and sofa a little too firm and seemed to suffer from altitude sickness after about 24hrs of being there (you're at abt 10,000ft, we live at 5,300 ft) so didn't sleep much, so we left for home a little early.

    Chris2020-01-20T00:00:00Z

Presently two rooms available in happy cabbage friendly household. Comfortably sleeps one an a full, or two spooning. More geared for outdoor adventurer types, looking to ski, board, snowshoe, This is a small low budget room. Nice room with tall bed. Plenty of storage underneath bed for your gear.
This is an original sized room from when the House was operating as a hotel in Alma in 1884. Shared bathroom down the hall.
Alma is a small town on the north end of South Park with a population of around 250 in town and maybe a 1000 in the surrounding area. Just over the pass from Breckenridge we are sort of a bedroom community to high priced Breckenridge. We are an independent counter culture community with a small true mountain town feel.
  • Absolutely gorgeous place to stay! Definitely a cozy mountain home!

  • Andrew's place is completely jaw-dropping in the best ways possible! It was one of the most enjoyable and unique places to stay in. He was very welcoming as was everyone else in the house. Super knowledgeable about Alma and the surrounding areas. It was gorgeous covered in snow, 10/10 would come back in the summer!

  • The yellow house in Alma was an enjoyable experience. The house had some "long term" tenants that mainly consisted of veteran skiiers/snowboarders so it was fun listening to their stories throughout my stay. Andrew, the host, was very kind and informative about the house and the local area.

    Mack2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew's place is in a great location and is the most unique and memorable stay I've had at an AirBnb because of how helpful and welcoming everyone was at Andrew's place. Plus, the house is sooo cool with its distinctive history and coziness. It evoked a period movies of old western houses. I highly recommend staying at Andrew's if you have the chance.

    Matthew2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality! I had an enjoyable experience :-)

    Bradley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house is old but beautiful, has an incredible view and is very comfortable and cozy. Everything is very clean. Andrew, Nancy and the whole team are very friendly and answer any questions you have. You definitely feel at home.

  • This was a perfect space for our weekend away in Breckenridge. The condo was very spacious, clean, and modern. The furnishings were great and it had a nice large TV in the living room. It was a great location too, only 10 minutes from main street in Breckenridge. I highly recommend.

    Paul2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful decor with very nice quality linens and furniture. Loved all the special touches, especially the heated floors. Super cozy and was great for our family of four.

    Carly2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great for the price. My family and I booked it last minute for one night and were pleasantly surprised!! Quiet and comfortable, close to the mountain as well

    Alyssa2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, private shuttle, great location. Worked well for my ski trip. Would def stay there again next time I book a Breckenridge trip.

    Tim2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely space in a great location. We enjoyed having easy transportation to the mountains. The apartment was well kept and decorated cutely. Being in the hospitality industry I appreciated the k-cup in the machine ready to be brewed and the tea kettle filled w/ various tea options. The only downfall was it was hard to control the temperature in the apartment. Most nights we were pretty toasty. I would gladly stay again! Great apartment and great host!!

    Terry2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was location was great! It was completely spotless and loved walking in to a nice welcome note and welcoming signs in the bedroom. Instructions were laid out perfectly and it was easy to get there. After being given the wrong key at a different unit with a different company the night before and being locked out with no help from anyone, it was comforting to know that the owners of this unit were quick to respond and the use of a keypad to get in was available. Thank you for contributing and saving our ski trip!

In response to Covid 19 we have changed our cleaning and check in policy. We are blocking one full day on either side of bookings so that our cleaners can deep clean the unit and allow at least 24 hours between guests. We will also be providing hand sanitizer and cleaning products in the unit as well for guest use. Guest saftey is our top concern! Sit on the colorful chairs on the outdoor patio and plan the day’s adventures. This spacious studio is in an excellent location and has been fully renovated. It boasts a comfortable king-size bed, exposed beams, and thoughtful touches throughout.
Our studio is perfectly set up for one or two people. Everything you could need for a hotel style stay. You will have an amazing King Size Bed. A Master bath with a huge shower! Luxurious linens and bedding. Free wi-fi, Smart Tv W/Cable and all the other accoutrements to make your stay pleasurable!
This studio is located in a peaceful area, but just steps from the south side of downtown Breckenridge, and minutes from the Quicksilver SuperChair during the winter. There's a free bus (Grey route Summer and Brown route Winter) that goes directly to town and the lifts.
  • Great spot in a great location. Would highly recommend this spot if going to Breckenridge.

    Ellis2020-03-09T00:00:00Z

  • This was a great stay. Close to town. Parking was 10 feet from the door... handy. Clean, comfortable, had extra amenities in case we needed them. Easy check in/out. Had to reach out to the hosts on a question and they got back to me immediately. Thanks again!

    Shelbi2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location just a block or two off Main St just past Breckenridge Brewery. The studio apartment was cozy and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice. Storage for skis/boards was available right outside the apartment. Brett was very responsive to communication and helped ensure a great stay

    Nate2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable condo! Convenient to the Main Street, easy to check in and out, nice design and thoughtful touches like local sulfate-free shampoo. Great communication and the hot tub was the perfect way to cap off a ski day

Fresh clean mountain air. Get away to the quiet beauty of your wooded cabin tucked away in our private woods. Enjoy amazing hiking right out your door, a campfire and stunning mountain views. Spend an amazing night with millions of stars overhead. Recharge your soul in mountain peace. A rare opportunity to stay tucked in private woods and steps from 1000s of acres of national forest. Featuring dual heaters, sleeping loft, outdoor cooking area, and indoor camp toilet. Luxury glamping.
Enjoy a true Rocky mountain wilderness experience in the comfort of our eco friendly off grid artist's cabin. The Lost Creek Cabin Studio is located on a private 12 acre estate backing to national forest. This studio offers an amazing and unforgettable Rocky mountain nature experience. (With current health concerns in the world, we are renting either this Artist's Cabin or the Hawks Nest cabin for any given night (unless related groups are renting both). This insures a private no contact experience for those wishing to truly get away from everyone and everything.) Sit in your private outdoor cooking and dining area while you enjoy the views and abundant wildlife. We have seen deer, fox, bear, moose and cougar on and around the property. Pets are welcome, but must be on leash for their own safety. (There is a $10/night/pet fee.) We are animal lovers and have 2 dogs of our own living on the property. Enjoy the plush queen bed with down comforter in the sleeping loft which is accessed from a loft staircase (steeper than a regular staircase). From the loft windows, you can sometimes view wildlife right by the studio without them even knowing you are there. There is a chemical camp toilet in the studio in a separate room, and we offer an outdoor camp shower experience. We provide 5 gallons of potable water each day as there is not running water at our glamping cabin. There is also a wonderful public swimming pool and shower facilities minutes from the cabin. Stay cozy warm inside with our beautiful electric fireplace. Installed for the cooler fall weather, the fireplace will keep you comfy while you look out the French doors at the Rocky Mountains and feel like you're outside. (For cold weather, there is also a propane heater (with fire and carbon monoxide be detectors installed) which keeps it toasty inside.). The studio comes complete with pots and pans, coffee mugs, wine glasses, and cooking utensils. We provide a 3 burner camp chef expedition outdoor propane cook top for your use and provide propane. We have had guests cook gourmet meals and enjoy dining in the beauty of the outdoors. Plates, cups, and utensils are provided. Bring a cooler for your perishables. We also can put perishables in the frig at the main cabin and deliver them when you need them. There is cell phone service at the studio for most service providers. Otherwise, this is an unplugged experience. :-) The cabin offers the charm of an off grid experience with battery powered indoor lighting and solar motion sensor outdoor lighting. Our guests love building a fire in the outdoor fireplace in the mornings and evenings and living with the natural rhythms of light and temperature in the woods. We require guests to keep their fires well attended and to completely extinguish them when guests are not by the fire. There is firewood to gather on the property and we also offer firewood for sale. Wood from outside the property is not permitted as the area is beginning to see evidence of invasive insect species. Now offering the Hawks' Nest rustic elegant companion cabin!! Located directly behind the Artist's Studio, the Hawk's nest boasts rustic charm including a memory foam king bed in the sleeping loft. The Hawks' Nest (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/24312178?s=67&shared_item_type=1&virality_entry_point=1&sharer_id=121340273) is available to rent either by itself or as a companion to guests booking the Artists Cabin. The Hawks' Next can be booked through request. Check it out!

Very rustic, little solar, well on site, propane heater in room and wood burning stove in other room/living room, no hot water, no shower (yet), unless you boil it. Guns are ok. This is for people that would like to enjoy off grid experience. Its very country setting please understand this. Sitting on 160 acres. Connected to The 17,429-acre State Wildlife. Elk migrate through the BLM which the property is connected to. Experience a sense of peace and calm when being in a true piece of heaven.
    very country experience
fairplay, Breckenridge is down the street. alot of hiking nooks. the cabin is also back up to the BLM which is connected to the forest,
  • My fiancee and I stayed here over Valentine's weekend, and had so much fun. The house is rustic and truly off the grid, but when we arrived it was warm and cozy, and we stayed comfortable all night with the gas fireplace and a wood stove. Jennifer was very responsive, and up front about some maintenance problems they were having. The animals really make the place; I grew up with horses and loved Mr Ed, who is very friendly. The mother yak is not friendly, but she is communicative and lets you know if you're getting too close. If you're going in winter I would definitely recommend 4 wheel drive to get down the driveway, and be prepared to possibly shovel some wind drifts to get out in the morning!

    Charlotte2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I enjoyed our stay! It was so quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

    Benjamin2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience. Amazing views.

    Ashley2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is way off the beaten path! If you're looking to really get away and clear your head, or just take in the tranquility of the mountains and the open space, away from all distractions--this is the place. Be ready to see the best stars in the night and be awestruck by the sunrise. Say hello to the yaks while you're at it! This place feels like one giant pause button in the middle of a hurried world.

    Garrett2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel and Jenifer are great hosts. The house is definitely rustic and off the grid. The horse and the cat are very friendly and the night sky is full of stars!

    Rick2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This off-grid cabin was far more than I expected! It's truly secluded, with two yaks, an exceptionally friendly young horse named Mr. Ed, and an affectionate outdoor cat. The cabin is rustic, comfortable, and clean. We particularly enjoyed staying up late, cooking on the wood-burning stove by lantern light. The bed(queen?) was comfortable, as were the multiple couches. If you're looking to get out of town (like, waay out of town) this cabin makes for a dream-like retreat. If there were a shower, you could stay year-round.

    Joel2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Calling this place a piece of heaven is extremely accurate. The ranch is spectacular but the hosts truly made this experience perfect. This place is remote, we took a 4wd but it wouldn't be necessary if there isn't snow. This paradise is off the grid. It has everything you need and it's incredibly fun and relaxing. I would suggest bringing plenty of meat, butter, fun stuff to cook, you won't go hungry if you don't bring food. However cooking on a wood stove with the great cast iron cookware is pure awesome. I can't say enough good about this stay. Thank you so much Jen and Daniel!

    Gina2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute dream it was to stay at Sarah and Jeremy’s beautiful place. My boyfriend and I stayed here as a Valentine’s Day getaway and we both were absolutely blown away by everything. From the thoughtful touches, grand walk-in shower, cleanliness, and the view! Waking up with the view that we had of the mountains made our trip so much more amazing. Everything about this place was perfect. Never have I ever stayed at an Airbnb that accommodated just about everything you needed for a stay. They supplied robes, slippers, guides and a well stocked coffee bar! Also nothing beats being greeted by their sweet pup Lou! This has been the best Airbnb ever and you won’t regret staying here.

    Alessandra2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Probably the best Airbnb experience I’ve had. Absolutely wonderful people who are incredibly thoughtful. I would recommend staying with Sarah and Jeremy to anyone!

    Greg2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Jeremy made this place a home away from home for us! We were greeted by Sarah and Lou, their adorable pup, and received great recommendations on where to go for dinner and things to do during our stay. The place itself is sparkling clean with a beautiful view. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and they even left some beer in the fridge for us to enjoy! We look forward to visiting this relaxing mountain retreat again this summer. We recommend Sarah and Jeremy's place to anyone looking for a getaway in the mountains!

    Bryson2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

  • This has been our 3rd time staying at Joel & Sandra's place and will be returning in August. Very clean, four hot tubs in the pool area, a very short walk to Peak 9, great/timely communication and all around comfortable condo. Until next time!

Secluded, well-appointed, off-grid cabin right on Tarryall Creek, with more than 5 acres of solitude and 360-degree mountain views. This is our dream place to escape, unwind, and listen to the creek from the bedroom. It's remote and quiet, but accessible year-round: 1 hour 15 mins from Denver and 50-mins from Breckenridge. Newly renovated with large kitchen (and antique 1920s stove), barnwood accents, huge 450sf deck, and historic decor from Como's gold rush. Dogs welcome, too.
Our cabin sits on five acres at 10,600 feet elevation. We're close to Denver, Breckenridge, and Fairplay... but surrounded by so much national forest you could say we perfected social distancing. Our cabin is just under 1,000sf, but it feels nice and roomy with a large living area and great kitchen. The bedroom is cozy, with a fantastic view of Mt. Little Baldy out the window and the sound of Tarryall Creek when the weather's warm enough to crack the window. We're off-grid up here. Solar powers the cabin, so you have to watch your energy consumption, especially in winter. But propane heats the water and shower, and provides back-up heat to the cabin itself. (We much prefer the woodstove, which glows hypnotically when lit and provides a nice even heat throughout the cabin). Cell phone service is hard to come by. We have a signal booster, but it's not 100% reliable and we don't mind: we love the feeling of being cut off from the craziness of our daily lives. So far, all of our guests have loved it here. Our cabin has seen engagements and elopements, and many more honeymoons, anniversaries, and birthdays. An album was written here, and a couple books, too. But most of our guests just come up for fun and relaxation. Coronavirus note: We're doing our best to keep our cabin clean and safe during this uncertain time. For bookings that start after Apr 1, 2020 and end before Jun 1, 2020, you can cancel on 1-days notice for a full-refund. Also, for the safety of all our guests, if you've shown symptoms of covid-19 or if you've been exposed to others who have, please follow the CDC's recommendations for home isolation before traveling. If you need to cancel or change dates to help us all stay safe, I'll do what I can to accommodate you. If you have questions or would like help finding resources, please do reach out. And stay healthy out there, ok?
It's quiet around here, all right. You will see the occasional person coming to hike the Gold Dust trail (just down the road) or a neighbor going for a walk, but it's not unusual to have the day fully to yourself -- especially fall, winter, and spring, when it is magically peaceful.
  • Peaceful locations with great views sitting on the deck. We saw moose and fox everyday, and explored nearby hiking trails. Lots of thoughtful touches and comfortable cabin to spend a few days relaxing! Fireplace is a great hangout spot for reading and staying warm.

  • Kenneths place is absolutely breathtaking, from the beautiful drive through the mountains to arrive at a silent cabin escape placed beautifully Between multiple mountain peaks, snow shoeing was a blast, late night wood fire place was an absolute amazing ammenity! Thanks Ken!

  • This little spot exceeded our expectations and made for the perfect little weekend. It’s remote and off the grid. Our favorite.

    Ryan2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Peace and tranquility are the themes of Ken's cabin! The view from the large south-facing deck are great all day, and the fireplace is big enough to keep the cabin warm on cold nights (it was in the 20's). We had a pack of coyotes visit on our last night, and saw a few foxes during our stay. This is the place to go if you want to get off grid, and reconnect with nature! We'll be back!

  • MUST VISIT!!! An ABSOLUTE MUST!!! The location is magical!!! The host exceeded our expectations with everything!!! The cabin is so cozy and well maintained! If you forgot to pack something.. guarantee they had it! Kenneth messaged back super quickly and even did research for us since we really had no clue what to expect (during COVID-19).. he went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable leaving our home and making the 17 hour trip.. The ride up to the cabin alone was breathtaking.. but waking up every morning to the glitter like snow and huge mountains was a life changing experience. We went during winter so we expected to be somewhat bored, nope! Never happened! They are fully stocked with games!!! On top of that.. there is soooo much to explore around the cabin that even though everything was closed down in the surrounding towns.. we had the time of our lives! We will definitely come back once everything goes back to normal! Thanks again for everything Ken! Your home away from home is just that! A home for all 💙 -Veronica & Ryan Nallie 3rd year wedding anniversary P.S! If you love cooking.. you will surely appreciate the amazing vintage stove they have!!! GORGEOUS!

    Veronica2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy cabin in a fantastic spot in the mountains. The view from the front porch is simply fantastic (we went in the winter). Cozy fireplace inside keeps the spacious cabin very well heated. Bed is very comfortable, albeit small for two people. Given how close this place is from Denver and how fantastically isolated it is, it's a great choice! Ken was great with communication, the house manual is one of the most comprehensive I've ever seen. Check-in/out was a breeze. Highly recommend!

    Fernando2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing property. Truly a magnificent "off the grid" getaway. Ken is a fantastic host - very organized and responsive. I hope to return soon!

    Will2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect! My wife and I went during the winter. Even having tons of snow and weathering some of the storms, it was an amazing place. The fireplace was super warm and there was plenty of wood. It was nice to stay inside and play board games with my wife.

    Rex2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • You should definitely stay here. Perfect location. Close, yet secluded. Neat little place. Nice couch. Honestly you are missing out if you do not stay here. What an awesome spot. Very good deal. I have wrote a bad review before. Just one but trying to tell you I am honest. I coach skiing, though my mountain is part of the IKON team and never had tried to ski a epic mountain before. Keystone was cool and definitely go try PhoReal. Avoid the breakfast spot. Just stay in and cook that because it’s way overpriced for small portions. I grew up in a resort area and know the deal, cook breakfast, try the Pho spot and stay here. Its going to be a good time!

  • Cozy place that’s just right for one or two people. If you want to “sleep four,” you’d better be close friends. The space is clean and in good shape and the bed is comfortable. The noise from upstairs neighbors can be loud, so bring ear plugs if you don’t plan to be the first one out in the morning.

  • 5 star stay. The description is very accurate and the location is fantastic for ski trips. Great mountain views and decent amenities. I would stay here again.

Relax under the stars in the hot tub and enjoy total privacy.
  • If you are visiting or thinking about visiting the Denver/Breckenridge area then Nathalie’s place up in the mountains is your go to spot. This place is secluded and very private. It’s about 2 hrs to the Denver Airport, an hour and a half from Pikes Peak and about an hour to Breck as well. You can’t beat the views from the back deck, and the hot tub is the icing on the cake for this place. Thanks for hosting us Nathalie! We appreciate your hospitality.

  • This house is in a private, gated community. It has great views and is in a completely quiet setting. Nathalie does a great job of making you feel at home. I highly recommend this house!

  • The cabin was so incredibly welcoming when we walked in after a very long drive. it was full of natural light and had amazing decor! when we made it to bed, the beds were comfortable and the showers were refreshing! It was hard to break away from the beautiful views to leave the cabin but Nathalie had wonderful recommendations of things to do and places to eat. We so enjoyed our time with the family playing on the property and playing games at the dining room table-which were supplied in abundance:) Wonderful experience!

  • My husband and I booked for our 1 year anniversary and everything was absolutely amazing. Private location, beautiful view, and cozy and clean cabin. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

    Aubrie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED our stay at this private mountain retreat! The house is cozy and spotless. The kitchen has every possible appliance and tool we needed to cook elaborate meals. Hot tub with mountain views was nothing short of amazing. We had planned on venturing out to nearby towns and trails but found that the house and surrounding area had everything we needed, included national forest access trails right down the road. We ended up not wanting to leave except for one trip to the South Park Ranger station in Fairplay that had a cute gift shop and great recommendations for other hikes in the area. We really enjoyed everything about this place. It should be noted that 4WD/AWD is an absolute necessity in the winter. We got a ton of snow before and during our time there and would not have been able to access surrounding roads and driveway without it. Plowing happened regularly which was nice, but roads are slick and snow covered. The host was SUPER responsive and easy to work with, very accommodating to our requests and travel changes due to weather conditions. Highly recommend! Would be fun to come back in the summer.

    Danielle2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
