  • Marion’s place was absolutely perfect for our Christmas stay! Couldn’t ask for anything better: clean, thoughtful and perfectly located for our journey around the highlands!

  • We were with Marion for 6 days and were looking forward to it very much in advance. The check in was very warm and there was even a small fruit basket with the necessary food to start with. The kitchen is a dream and the rest of the house is very cozy and lovingly decorated. The view from the bedroom window on the water was absolutely great. It was a great time with Marion and we would love to come back.

Her communication could not be faulted and she provided valuable about the local area. The accomodation was sparklingly clean and well geared for guests. We would highly recommend a stay!

  • My family and I enjoyed our time in Marion’s seaside house! Marion was there to show us the house and provided us with great tips on what to do in the area. The house was incredibly adorable, with a lovely welcome package and we even had a nice view of the water from one of the rooms. I would definitely recommend.

  • A lovely cottage tucked away in the narrow lanes of the old Fishertown of Cromarty - a place full of history and character. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped, it had everything we could possibly want. A great place to stay.

  • A wonderful place to travel to less touristy areas of Scotland, as well as a very nice and lovingly and tastefully furnished cottage. We felt very comfortable.

    Ulrich2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful wee spot! A very well equipped cottage tastefully decorated, keeping the spirit of the old building. For such a wee place Cromarty has some great spots all in easy walking distance.

  • The Cottage is a wonderful place to go on a peaceful and relaxing vacation. A little tip for winter corridor: you have in between the stove tidy einheizen so it is warm because the heating was programmed so that it only three times a day was concerned. Unfortunately, it was characterized in the times between relatively quickly cold in all rooms. But it is definitely worth a visit!

  • This is without doubt the best Airbnb we have stayed in. So much thought has gone into its creation and we had absolutely everything we needed for our stay and more. The garden is lovely to sit in on a Summer evening. We'd love a Winter stay too to have time to sit by the fire and dip into the wealth of interesting books in the house. There is an excellent coffee shop nearby and a more zany one beside the little ferry. There is plenty of information in the house on the wealth of things to do in the area. We met the owner, Ann, who was also very helpful and friendly.

Hear the waves lapping on the beach from your room in our beautiful home on the Black Isle, in the historic town of Cromarty. This clean, newly refurbished room and fresh new, shared bathroom next door is perfect for a relaxing Highland get away.
We pride ourselves on providing an authentic relaxing environment for our guests in this quiet little seaside town. This stone built house was the head coastguards' home and has a great view across the Cromarty Firth. The room is comfortable for two people with a queen size bed and plenty of wardrobe space.
I love to sit and watch the sea changing every day. I see the fishermen coming in with their catches. I see tourists passing and taking pictures of my view everyday. I live in a very peaceful beautiful setting.
  • Everything was smashing, the room was just what we needed. We were made welcome then allowed our privacy.

  • Once you have overcome the small fright of the parked in the bay oil rigs - everything is great. The rooms / bath at Campbell are clean and big. Cromarty is a cute, old village, opposite Ecoventure you can make a good boat trip and around the corner in "Slaughterhouse" there is the best coffee I had in Scotland

Hear the waves lapping on the beach from your room in our beautiful home on the Black Isle, in the historic town of Cromarty. This clean, newly refurbished room and fresh new shared bathroom next door is perfect for a relaxing Highland get away.
This is a lovely bright room with large windows on two sides. It has a double bed and a single futon can be made up for youngsters. The room is light and airy and has plenty of wardrobe space. It is well equipped for tea or coffee making, hair dryer, TV and radio with an easy chair for your relaxation.
Cromarty is a quiet little town with a diverse artistic and cultural community offering the traveller the opportunity to purchase some unique gifts. There is a good selection of places to eat and the eco ventures dolphin trips should not be missed. For the historians there is a wonderful Hugh Miller museum and a courthouse experience as well as an archaeological dig just along the shore. So much to do in such a small remote community.
  • Expect a welcoming, friendly, easy-going host, a clean, spacious room (Lighthouse) and just a brilliant location. Lovely Cromarty sunrises/sunsets from your room. An easy 5 minute stroll takes you to most places in town but why go straight there when there's the beach to comb for seaglass and sea crocks or friendly, interesting locals to chat with. Nice shops, good food.

He would gladly cook a hot breakfast (for a little extra). The standard continental was excellent. If you're in Cromarty I would recommend this airbnb.

  • We've recently returned from a week's stay in this cottage. Cottage was clean and tidy on arrival and in a great location for us ~ easy to get to other places, good wildlife on the doorstep etc. There was some road noise especially with farm vehicles but nothing that detracted from our break and easy to pull our car in off the road so no concerns there. we found the cottage comfy with plenty of space and lots of thoughtful touches to make for a relaxing stay. We would stay again.

    Claire2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Langlands Cottage offers the best of both worlds at a reasonable price. A charming cottage right on the bank of the Cromarty Firth in the small village of Jemimaville. Nestled in the countryside next to the tidal Firth that attracts abundant birds. Inside is modern, elegant and offers the best of day-to-day comforts; comfortable beds, efficient heating, boundless hot water, a large modern kitchen with top of the range appliances. The bustling village of Cromarty is only minutes away while Inverness can be reached in under thirty minutes. It was the ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. But also a convenient base for exploring the beauty and diversity of the Black Isle and the Highlands.

  • What a wonderful little piece of paradise. This space is cozy and comfortable. It had everything I needed for a one week stay which I then extended to two because I couldn’t bear to leave. You’re across the street from the ocean. There are two restaurants across the other way. Easy walking distance to everything else you might need. Reliable bus transportation to surrounding towns and Inverness. I would not hesitate to recommend Caroline’s place to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday in Cromarty.

    Dodie2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Although the garden room is small it has everything you will need. It is right on the harbour so the views across Cromarty Firth are amazing. If you are looking for something to eat I cannot recommend Sutor Creek which is across the road, great food and the staff are very attentive and friendly.

  • Caroline’s little chateau is a delightful little stand alone cottage that provides a great little home base from which to explore lovely Cromarty. It has everything you need to cook meals, to sleep-in all cuddled up in a comfy bed with electric fireplace going, and listen to the sea birds in the harbor. You can walk to anywhere in town easily and the price can’t be beat. Caroline is a great host, very welcoming and concerned for your comfort. And Cromarty is the sweetest town ever with lots of lovely beach walks. Driving through the fields and along the Firth is one of my highlights every time I visit. Highly recommend!

Our host Caroline was both helpful and attentive and close at hand if required. Looking forward to returning in the future.

  • Wonderful house. Very clean and the only problem is working out the shower rota if there are a few guests. But that is as bad as it gets. Clean, spacious, WiFi, great location, easy parking. Excellent value from a very attentive host. I’m originally a local so I’m well impressed.

  • This was our second time staying in this house and like the first time it was fantastic! It is a great house - with two generous lounge rooms, comfortable beds, hot shower and well equipped kitchen, all in a fantastic location. We absolutely love it and will be sure to stay again in the future. Joyce is also fantastic and quick with her communication and is a joy and pleasure to deal with :)

    Belynda2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place to discover Cromarty. Very close to the beach, the bakery and the supermarket. We've felt like at our own home. Very recommended.

    Daniel2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Cromarty is a brilliant location for a holiday and this place couldn't be better as a base. Welcoming - with home made cake and other goodies - the clean and well equipped property really was a home from home. The garden was a splendid suntrap and the central location meant you were only three minutes from beach, shops and coffee. There are plenty of bedrooms to choose from and the bathroom is modern and very functional. All in all we would rate this very highly indeed in terms of Airbnb properties we have stayed in.

    Dave2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing home, spacious, everything you need! Great location. We housed here and traveled around to Loch Ness, highlands, castles, isle of skye, etc! Joyce was thoughtful and thought of everything. Would definitely stay here again! Loved it!!!

    Jill2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • This home was great! We had the best time and can not wait to stay here again (hopefully sometime soon). It was close to everything but quiet and had so much space - we were a group of two adult couples, one with a 2 and a half year old and we never once felt like we were on top of each other. The house was clean, comfortable and decorated to a lovely stylish standard - there was even a small array of goodies for us when we arrived. In short we can not recommend enough and will definitely be back!

    Belynda2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great to have a secluded garden for the dogs. My son particularly enjoyed staying in the attic as it was quirky (lots of stairs and felt a bit separate from the rest of the house which is ideal for a teenager). We will definitely be back.

  • Fiona's home is a wonderful place to stay in. It is a beautiful house with outstanding views over the Cromerty Firth. We had an extremely well appointed room and a fabulous breakfast with an excellent selection of fruits and cereals on the sideboard served in lovely locally made pottery bowls in a really attractive dining room. Fiona also makes homemade jams, chutneys, soap and lampshades for sale. I really don't know how she has time for all this well as being such a great host. We would definitely come back should we be in this area again.

  • The double room reserved for Airbnb customers was as described, fairly compact, but perfectly formed, with plenty of space the two of us and our luggage. A view out to the Cromarty Firth and use of a delightful sitting room. Breakfast was delicious.

    Patricia2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed there for one night as part of our journey around Scotland. The B&B is on the outscirts of the lovely fishing village Cromarty where you can find some restaurants in walking distance. Fiona gave us a very friendly welcome and suggested places where to dine. The room was comfortable and we‘ve had a relaxing night. Breakfast was very good and we’ve had a lovely chat with two other couples we were sharing the main table with.

    Daniela2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Emma had everything prepared beautifully even though she herself could not be there. Her lovely home felt very warm and homely and her very friendly dog Duki was there to welcome us. Emma's house is very well positioned with a bakery just across the road, but also very quiet, despite sitting on a crossing. It was our first time on the Black Isle and Cromarty and we were quite taken how beautiful the villages are. Cromarty is well worth a visit and Emma's home is a lovely place to stay.

    Sylvia2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Emma’s cottage couldn’t be more central. It’s situated right at the heart of this delightful tiny town, with a superb bakery opposite where breakfast pastries and pies can be purchased, and cafes, pubs and an excellent restaurant literally a minute away. My room was well-furnished, spick and span, overlooking a quiet street, with a wonderfully comfortable bed. Emma is kind and helpful, and gave me a glimpse of her work as a glass artist. I stayed a week and would do so again with pleasure. Cromarty is a very special place.

    Nicholas2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Emma was a great host. She greeted us at the property and gave us a tour. The room was beautiful and comfortable with tea. She was kind enough to let us use her laundry as we had been biking for days. Her house is centrally located and we were able to walk everywhere but didn’t get to explore much because of the rain. I would definitely recommend Emma’s place

  • This was a delightful find. We were in Cromarty for the annual Cromarty Film Festival. Jenny's place is just minutes walk from the heart of the village and the festival venues. The features that made Jenny's place such a lovely stay were; the fantastic fireplace (there is nothing better than lying in bed watching a roaring fire), the extremely comfortable bed with electric blanket, the private entrance, the lovely bathroom with great shower and the delicious breakfast served in your own private conservatory. Cromarty itself is full of eating and shopping delights, it's not very big so you will easily find them after talking to a few locals (or Jenny and her family).

    Robin2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay in Cromarty. Jenny was an outstanding host and really friendly, and the breakfast, served in our own private garden room, was the best we'd had on our trip round the NC500. Place was beautifully decorated and very clean Sutors Creek Cafe in Cromarty serves amazing food, the Black Isle is gently beautiful and worth visiting, and we even saw a number of bottle nose dolphins off Chanonry Point, just perfect!

    Teresa2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay. Convenient location and very friendly hosts.

  • Couldn't fault anything. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom, private use of a lovely sun room opening out into the lovely "cottage garden" full of fruit trees and shrubs. Few minutes walk from sea front and in a quiet location. Jenny is a very attentive and helpful host and a lovely, friendly person. Would highly recommend.

    Loretta2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the little nap in the hammock under the trees in the beautiful walled garden. Cromarty is such a nice spot in Scottland that we can highly recommend a stay, specially with Jenny.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Mizpah House, from the friendly welcome to the most comfortable bed ever, everything was perfect. Gorgeous wood burning stove and fireplace, unique furniture and light and airy breakfast room make this such an inviting place to stay. The newly refurbished bathroom was great, amazing shower not to mention gorgeous Molten Brown toiletries. Would definitely stay if in the area again!

Everything has been so well thought out, spotlessly clean, and you really have all you would need. Sad we only got to stay for one night, Jessica was super helpful and lovely, great local recommendations too.

  • You are making a big mistake not booking this place. The cabins are stylish, big and comfortable, and the view is beyond expectations, so calm and beautiful. Jessica and her son Archie is kind hosts. Cromarty, the in walking distance town, is worth spending more than a day in. Great bakery, specialty coffe, at the slaughterhouse close by the ferry’s dock, and an excellent pizza. Go go go!

  • The wee house was more than what we were looking for as part of our stay. It had everything we needed and was very clean. It wasn’t too far from a nearby town where we picked up some food to enjoy in the house. There were some beautiful dogs for us to enjoy on our stay as well. A nice finishing touch to our stay was a delicious breakfast spread made by Kathleen with some of the best muffins we’ve ever had. We were so happy to be offered breakfast at an airbnb as that rarely happens! Would definitely return.

  • A cosy little pod. Paul gave us a wonderful welcome and recommended places to eat. The breakfast was great and the pygmy goats was so cute! Its not a big space but all you need.

    Lotta2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect wee place for a night(s) away for a couple of people! Paul and Claire are very attentive hosts and were on hand for any questions or requests. The whole ground is thoughtfully laid out and designed and the pod itself was exceptionally clean and had all the necessary amenities. The bed was extremely comfy and spacious with lovely cotton sheets (I would recommend setting out the bed last thing at night as there's limited space to move around otherwise). The best thing for us was the BBQ/firepit. You can get coal (£5)/logs (£10) which did us the whole evening with logs spare (you can bring your own if you wish). We would definitely like to visit again and would make use of the continental breakfast service (we had to leave early doors so didn't get a chance to try this). :( Thank you for a 5 star glamping experience! Hannah

Great location for visiting relatives in the area and plenty of other activities to keep you busy, local distilleries, Dunrobin Castle are a must while in the area. Great view overlooking the Cromarty Firth and watching the boats and ships come and go. Was fortunate enough to see the HMS Prince of Wales visit Invergordon this time round.

  • We visited Invergordon as the end of our trip to Ireland/Scotland. The house was clean, relaxing, and we'll appointed. We noticed that one of the pans was in rough shape and contributed a new large non-stick pan to the kitchen. The kitchen was a nice place to cook a quick meal after a long day of exploring and the sidewalks along the water were great for a morning run or an evening walk. We lucked out with the weather and didn't have much rain so hopefully you'll have the same if you stay there! The front glass porch was great for watching boats and the beds were comfortable. Can't ask for a better place to stay!

  • Some places are just poised make a memory. We arrived on a blustery night after being unable to find a place nearer to Inverness. One hour later we had asked to extend our stay. With the Scottish version of Le Mistral thundering across the fields, we huddled in the warm, carpeted bedrooms among the fresh flowers and pristinely clean linen. After a long day of touring the muted color palate, spacious hall, thoughtful lighting and the hedgehog-patterned shade on the bedroom (c’mon, that was ADORABLE), THANKS was lovely. To the bronze lamp with the rabbits, so special. To our hostess Claire (equally as energetic as the REAL bunnies and fam animals in the backyard) you made us smile. Thanks for the full kitchen, where we spent time as a family cooking together and felt so welcomed. We are sorry we couldn’t stay longer.

  • Sarah was very quick to respond and the check in was very easy and hassle free. The house is very large and spread over three floors, each with a bathroom! Really comfortable . There are 4 bedrooms and each can sleep two people. The house is very picturesque, 200 years old and is in the center of Cromarty. Wonderful experience walking on the dock, a few steps from home, among the flying seagulls, before going to sleep! We used Cromarty as a basis to visit the Highlands. Beautiful holiday!

    Invergordon, Highland, United Kingdom

Situated on the shores of the Cromarty Firth with spectacular views to the Black Isle our cottage sleeps six comfortably with nine maximum and is ideally situated for touring with access to superb beaches, forests, hill walking, golf, etc
The cottage is deceptively spacious (total floor area of 129 square metres). On the ground floor there is a large lounge with archway to a large kitchen/diner, bathroom with separate shower and one family room with double and single bed. On the first floor a shower room is situated between two roomy family bedrooms consisting of one double and one single bed. There is also a small garden area behind the cottage.
Saltburn is a small village on the outskirts of Invergordon and is a perfect base for touring the Highlands. There are at least six 18 hole golf courses within an hour's drive, including Royal Dornoch, so perfect location for a golfing holiday! Nearby Invergordon has stunning murals on gables all over the town and boasts a sports centre with leisure pool. A choice of restaurants and take-aways cater for most tastes. The Black Isle, which is viewed from every room in the cottage, is really a peninsula and is well worth a visit with lots of quaint villages. Cromarty, an old fishing village (a round car trip of approximately an hour) has lots of history and you might be lucky enough to spot some dolphins. You can also book a dolphin tour from the harbour. Both Portmahomock and Dornoch have superb beaches.

  • Thank you so much! Noreen’s place accommodated family that I had visiting for my wedding weekend at the nearby Kincraig. I went to meet Noreen on the first day and she showed us around the property! She made it feel like home and even included little extras like the welcome basket and whiskey! My family really enjoyed their stay at the property! Definitely recommend! Thank you again!

  • Noreen’s place was the perfect spot to use as a home base as we explored the highlands. Kitchen was perfect for making home made meals after longs days of hiking and exploring and the beds were cosy and comfortable. Thanks so much Noreen!
