We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was a very quiet and a wonderful place to see the northern lights! The cottage was warm and cozy and had everything needed for a comfortable stay! We would highly recommend!

We had four lovely nights at the property. We were very satisfied with the amenities, there are more utensils than we originally thought. The quiet location in the Pyhä National Park is excellent in 5 min, almost everything is reachable by car (supermarkets, rental, trails, ski resort, hiking routes, restaurants, and other activities). Our highlight in the apartment was the sauna and the proximity to nature. Noora was a very great hostess, she always responded very quickly if there were any questions. Gladly again, highly recommend.

Good location, nice ambient

We were a group of 6 adults, and we all fitted very nicely in this wonderful cabin next to the lake. The silence of the forest was at times solely interrupted by the chirping of the birds. We felt right at home in the cabin, which was equipped with all we needed. For instance, the cabin had lot of amenities to cook, and towels and linens were available as nicely described. Within drivable distance from Rovaniemi, it was the perfect choice to spend time in the Finnish nature. The fireplace next to the lake and the private sauna made our stay unique. We highly recommend this place for medium sized groups who enjoy outdoors and having privacy and alternate the visit to Rovaniemi attractions with calmness and slow paced life of Finnish mökki. We had no troubles in driving with a van through the muddy road that runs through the hill and forest to reach the cabin in spring time. Thank you so much for the lovely stay!

The accommodation was super nice. We were 4 friends and spent a week there. The peace and solitude made the house unique. But you definitely need a car! The kitchen was super well equipped with a toaster, coffee machine, oven and little things like oil, flour, sugar and tea. So really perfect! The fireplace in the evening made everything nice and cozy. But the highlight was that we could see the Northern Lights from the house and only had to drive 5 minutes to see the whole sky full of the lights! We would come back again and again! :)

The place was just like the description and the communication also worked great when it was needed.

The location was great, we could walk about 15 minutes to marvel at the northern lights on the frozen river. Supermarket, gas station and restaurants are about 8-10 min by car. The place was very clean and you felt at home.

The stay went well. I could vacation in the cottage a second time.

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

We had a very nice time at this place! Wonderfully quiet location in beautiful surroundings, ideal for unwinding and relaxing. For activities you often have to drive for a while, but you are in the middle of nature and can just go outside the door at night and see the northern lights (if you can see) - that was a very great experience! The sauna was also very pleasant ( the hot tub was unfortunately currently frozen and out of service). There is everything you need in the house and it is very cozy there. We were there with our two-year-old son, and he also felt very comfortable and - like us - had a lot of fun in the snow!

Amazing experience. The location is great for seeing auroras (we saw them!) and only half an hour from Rovaniemi. The lake is very beautiful. The cottage is very well equipped and cozy. The only issue we had was the door locks which are not intuitive. The host's communication was very good. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Very nice chalet where we could completely unwind! We were very sorry that we had only booked for one night. The host was also very reactive and responded within 5 minutes when we had a question about how the sauna works. We only notice one downside: there was only very little wood available for the fireplace, so we could only enjoy the fire for a while.

We had a lovely holiday in Sanna’s beautiful home. It was perfect for the whole family - even better than we had expected from the photos. The location was fantastic - only a few minutes drive to the town but so peaceful and right across the road from the lake. We enjoyed so many walks on the lake, ice fishing with the equipment Sanna provided, the hot tub and sauna and the youngest member of the family expended lots of energy on the bouncy castle in the basement. Sanna was so helpful with recommendations in advance. It has been a wonderful family holiday, aided by good weather, bright blue skies and great sights of the northern lights. The cottage was a short distance from the center and it was easy to find. The equipment in the cottage was really good and the hot tub was a highlight, especially for the children's trip :) You could also invest a little more in cleanliness outside the seasons, for example, dust balls under the beds. But this was the only minus, we would come again!

Cosy cabin is exactly that, warm and cosy. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids enjoyed our stay in ounasvaara woods. It’s such a peaceful beautiful location in the middle of stunning walking trails. 5 min walk to a viewing point where we saw the northern lights. The cabin was equipped with everything needed for our 3 night stay, including sleds for the kids. Kaisa was a great host and very kind to allow us a late checkout.

We had a great time at Liisa's place. The cottage is in the middle of the quiet forest with an idyllic setting. Liisa is adorable and her place is perfect. I'll do it again!

Great apartment! Walking distance to everything. Very comfortable with lots of storage and very clean. Felt right at home immediately. Kitchen well appointed. Loved the sauna. Looked exactly as pictures show in listing - highly recommend staying here. We would definitely stay here again.

Extremely cozy accommodation at the end of an atmospheric cellar house. We found everything we needed in a place to stay, including cooking. Thanks, Jussa! Lots of cottages nearby, but the area is still very peaceful. Sacred services within walking distance. National park trails also leave nearby. A big recommendation for bigcock if weather conditions allow.

We could not imagine a better place to see the Northern Lights for the first time. The cabin and the sourrounding was absolutely beautiful and Kaisa and Jari were amazing hosts! We instantly felt like home and enjoyed all the kind details and the nature. We hope to come back one day and can highly recommend this accomodation :)

Viola and Pertti are very friendly host, always available in case of need of support or questions. The house is cozy and warm as it has central heating as well as a fire place. It is well equipped with everything necessary. The temperature of the heaters can be regulated. The outside toilet is just next to the house, easily accessible even with - 16 degrees and very hygienic. It's possible tu use the sauna and even to take a shower there. All in all highly recommended hosts and location. Thank you for everything, we will be back! :)

Quiet and tidy accommodation near Arktikum. The apartment has a cozy Moomin theme and wonderful natural light.
