Abbey Church 23, Rushworth

LaurenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What even to say. This is SUCH an amazing respite. A slice of Highland Heaven. There are 100 apartments in this converted Abbey, which is RIGHT on Loch Ness. It’s beyond beautiful. Playground, pool, outdoor chess, walking trails, all amazing. We had great service from the Highland Clib checking in, with an incredibly friendly front desk worker. Walkable to everything, maybe 4 minutes was the longest walk we had. The local boat cruise is a must. Watching the boats go through the canal was also fun. Basically, incredible. We will be back.

The Classrooms, Loch Ness Abbey, Pool & Spa

MicaelaRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Me and my parents booked this place for a night on the way to isle of skye and had the most amazing experience. The airbnb itself was way bigger than expected and was extremely clean. And then the grounds around it were even nicer. I was initially drawn in by the pool but we ended up spending the whole night in the billiard room that’s in the old refractory. The staff at the club is super nice and gives you a tour explaining all the history of the place while showing you to the room. Fort Augustus is also a really cute town to explore. overall the best place I’ve stayed so far in Scotland!!

Gruinyards - Loch Ness look-out

LynneRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a magical place to spend time relaxing! The abbey and apartments are stunning. With lounge windows facing Loch Ness, a large bathroom with a claw foot bath, a substantial master bedroom and separate twin room, it really was a home from home. Fort Augustus is centrally located, and a beautiful little village. We hired a car and travelled extensively through the Highlands. Glencoe is around an hour away, Ben Nevis around 45 minutes, Inverness around 40 minutes, and Balmoral Castle was 2.5 hours away with a spectacular drive through the Cairngorms. I absolutely recommend staying here as your base. You will not regret it. The only thing I would caution is the apartment is on the top floor. This means climbing 6 flights of stairs. There is no lift, so bear this in mind if you have anyone with mobility issues travelling with you. Jonathan, the host, is fantastic in all his communication. Nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back!

Apartment on the shores of Loch Ness

KamlaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place is quite special: the Apartment is in the oldest Part of the converted Abbey. It is very large, nicely furnished with extremely comfortable sofas and beds and has a very nice kitchen and bathroom. But this isn‘t all, there is the swimmingpool, gameroom etc. that you can use - even though the place was pretty full we hardly saw other people and did not hear anything from them in the flat. The absolut greatest thing about the place is it’s location right on the Loch Ness, tranquill and beautiful.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and well-equipped, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Peaceful rural area with some nice walks and local wildlife around. The pool and jacuzzi were also super clean and a great addition. Highly recommended!

The Millie - Luxury with Sea Views, Sauna & Garden

StuartRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Very stylish and attractive property in excellent location. Prompt resolution of problem with TV. Ruth was particularly helpful in returning a watch that had been left accidentally. Our only concerns were that steep stairs make it unsuitable for infirm guests and there is no toilet on the top floor where two double bedrooms are located.

We had a lovely stay. Really spacious. We were not in the house much which was a shame. The pool room made for added fun.

Loch Ness House by Interhome

The inter home folks were exceptional. One of them dropped off a crib after work when I forgot to order it in advance. The house was beautiful and easy to stay in. Walkable and close to everything we wanted to explore in the Highlands.

Clunie Dam Lodge

JamieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Just returned from an incredible long weekend at Mark’s place! Wow what a place, the most amazing setting with stunning views. We absolutely loved the sauna with views down the Loch and the hot tub. Spent our days paddle boarding and canoeing on the Loch. Our dogs had the wonderful time. Completely secure area with private Loch access! Treats left for our dogs too. Absolutely paradise for them. We enjoyed an amazing evening down by the Loch with a fire pit and bbq. There’s a fantastic supply of logs! The lodge itself is outstanding, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Very comfortable beds and extremely well equipped kitchen. Such a relaxing break and so peaceful but only 5 mins drive into beautiful Pitlochry. Mark is the most incredible host!! We had such an incredible time and booked a second visit whilst in the lodge instead of booking up a break to France as planned!

Holly Tree Lodge

CaitlinRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Lovely lodge, with beautiful scenic and peaceful surroundings. The whole house and all of the bedrooms are extremely spacious and the annex is lovely too. An additional bonus was the sauna in the annex, we enjoyed using this after a dook in the river in the garden. My family and I enjoyed spending a few days here at Christmas time. The lodge comfortably accommodated 10 of us and 2 dogs. Communication was great too, any questions we had were promptly answered. A great lodge with fantastic surroundings, perfect for a group of people to go.

Woodhaus

SusanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our family of four adults & dog stayed at Woodhaus for 6 nights and we fell in love with the house. It’s outstanding in terms of having space, privacy and location. It was super clean and had everything we expected plus more. The Japanese soaking tub and sauna was amazing after our days out walking, swimming and cycling. We loved waking up in the morning to see the beautiful surroundings and watching the variety of birds feeding in the garden. Aviemore is our favourite place having visited for many years and Woodhaus is now our favourite place to stay. Amazing!
