Holiday rentals with a fire pit in River Spey

My daughter, wife and I recently enjoyed 2 nights at this wonderful property. It exceeded our expectations in a number of ways. Firstly the property was exactly as represented on the site. It was very modern (beautifully appointed), very, clean and well appointed (e.g. Aesop products in every room). The spacious kitchen had the latest and greatest in appliances. What we didn't appreciate when booking was that we could access all the wonderful amenities of the Boath House estate. The grounds on which the house are located are spectacular, peaceful and quiet. The outdoor breakfast/restaurant was superb. And the dining room in the Boath House is amazing. One evening we enjoyed a gourmet 5 course dinner that we will never forget (highlight of our entire trip). And the chef came to debrief us on the entire meal at the end. A truly memorable experience all around.

We absolutely loved our stay. Lovely comfy beds and a really homely feel about the cottage. We seen a red squirrel in the garden and lots of stags just outside crossing the river. We had dinner at the Fife Arms just along thr road and had a lovely walk too. Lovely friendly host too. Thanks Team Barbarella Beets

Had a lovely stay in a beautiful house with family celebrating a 50th birthday. The house had absolutely everything you could ever need and more! Paul was a great host, very responsive to messages and welcoming on arrival and there to ask any questions throughout the stay.

We had an amazing stay in Nethy Bridge. The house and garden are well kept and the location close to the walks and nature worked great for us.

A beautiful old house, very well maintained. Centrally located, all within walking distance. Parking spaces in the side street. We really recommend this place!

We had a lovely time at Heidie & Holly’s place. The setting is peaceful and picturesque, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel both cozy and inviting. It’s clearly a space that’s been cared for, and it provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. Heidie & Holly were incredibly kind and helpful from the start — offering great local recommendations, quick to respond to questions, and genuinely thoughtful throughout our stay. They went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable. It’s a stay we’ll remember, and we’re so grateful to have experienced it. Thank you again, Heidie & Holly!

What a perfect place to spend time in this beautiful part of the world. Tricia and Ron really have thought of everything to make their guests’ stay as comfortable and lovely as possible. We had drinks by the fire pit, a sesh in the sauna and loved the record collection - some very nostalgic sounds in there! A very comfortable home, plenty of space for communing, exceptionally well equipped kitchen, a guitar and a fiddle - oh and so much more 😊 Also very very responsive hosts and keen to make sure everything was tip top. We did feel well looked after. Feral, the neighbours’ cat and all the garden frogs a bonus ☺️.

This was by far our favorite place we stayed on our trip to the highlands. Very clean, easy check-in and out, convenient location, comfortable and great for staying in or going out. The only slight hiccup we had was it took us a second to find it at first since it doesn’t have the number 24 marked on the outside of the house, so just be aware that you go in the door with the 26 on the outside and then the 24 is just inside. Great place and very friendly and helpful host!! Highly recommend.

Perfect location. Accommodation was very comfortable. Had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Access to the secure garden was ideal with the kids. The house was spotless. This place is quite special: the Apartment is in the oldest Part of the converted Abbey. It is very large, nicely furnished with extremely comfortable sofas and beds and has a very nice kitchen and bathroom. But this isn‘t all, there is the swimmingpool, gameroom etc. that you can use - even though the place was pretty full we hardly saw other people and did not hear anything from them in the flat. The absolut greatest thing about the place is it’s location right on the Loch Ness, tranquill and beautiful.

Angela's place in Findhorn is simply beautiful and we had everything we needed from the amazing location, to the accommodation itself being exactly as advertised to the way the apartment is decorated and furnished. Angela made everything very easy for us; it is true, she does reply within 1 hour and we felt so welcome when we arrived. The fire was lit, there was prosecco chilling and the lamps we already on. The bay in Findhorn is stunning and the apartment is right on the sea front. It's a short walk to the sandy part of the bay to see the seals and there is a lovely pub, The Kimberley, no more than 100 metres up the road. Everything was wonderful. I would highly recommend Angela's place and we will definitely stay there again when we return to Findhorn. Thank you again.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The interior was modern, stylish and very comfortable. Check-in was smooth and made by ourselfs which we really appreciated after a long journey. Especially the thoughtful welcome was really nice – soft music playing and dimmed lights created an incredibly cozy and inviting atmosphere as we arrived. That shows us, that a lot of care has gone into making guests feel at home. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and comfortable stay, and we would definitely come back ourselves!

A really warm welcome from Liz, enjoyed the wine, scones, bread and beer! Tanar View was clean, well equipped and great touches all round, the log burner gave a really cosy feel. Fantastic walks all around will be back for another visit.

We had a wonderful week at Lorna’s lodge. The weather was favourable, and it was the ideal escape from city life, letting us truly relax and feel at home. Our dogs had a blast on the walks and loved swimming in the Spey. The lodge’s peaceful location was just what we needed,Highly recommend.

We had the loveliest time at the cabin. The place was as clean as can be and had everything we needed. The view is phenomenal and there are loads of little birds flying around which makes it even better to just sit back, watch and enjoy. Lindsay thought of literally everything which makes this place a 10/10. Would absolutely come back here!

This is a beautiful part of Scotland,all the walks that are local are beautiful. It’s a great base to have because there are lots of places within 30-45 minutes. The village is beautiful and we will be returning. Watch the shinty when you are there …

Highly recommend!! Beautiful lodges in a stunning location. Close to lots of tourist attractions. We loved watching the animals from the lodge and from the hot tub! We stayed with our son who loved exploring

Really lovely and peaceful spot, log burner inside was absolutely perfect. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the shower working so braved a cold shower with a view but was a beautiful location and perfect stop for us doing the NC500! Thanks for having us and being so responsive/ helpful 😊

Blackbird's Cabin is a peaceful stay in a beautiful setting! The cabin is cute and cozy and was perfect for a solo traveler (or a couple). It's private and quiet, but close to hosts if you need anything. I loved walking the property and around the pond. Would love to stay here again!

A lovely comfortable and welcoming place to stay, especially for day trips to near by sites and points of interest . The most peaceful and AMAZING views out the lovely wine does!!!! Cozy large couch for relaxing in the evenings , outside sitting area, black out curtains , towel warmer in the bathroom, and Directions were great! It was very close to Inverness City Center, & so so many points of interest 20-30 minutes away. LOVED IT.

The wee love nest was so cosy and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail is like nothing I've seen before! Just such a beautiful place to be and nice little walks in the surrounding area. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and easy to chat to! 100% will be back in the future!
