Kid-friendly holiday rentals in River Medway

We stayed here for a week during our cycling trip in Kent and East Sussex. What a great choice! A perfect starting point for beautiful walks and cycling day trips. Also a very quiet and pretty environment to relax. A wonderful courtyard with stunning climbing rose bushes and verbena. Sheep, cattle, chickens and koy fish around, and of course the dogs. The cottage is spacious and has everything you need. It is one of the very few holiday homes we've been with a perfect shower, high quality kitchen equipment, good quality pots and pans in all sizes and numbers, really sharp knives etc. And if you still miss anything, just ask James. We were happy with the provided essential breakfast stuff on arrival. And flowers. James, a perfect host who made us feel very welcome.

The house was beautiful, tastefully updated and very well organized. We loved using the fireplaces and Kate had the house nicely decorated for the holidays. The kitchen was wonderful and we enjoyed cooking our Christmas dinner there. It was a perfect setting for a vacation rental, lovely grounds, footpaths just around the corner, just perfect! And Kate was very responsive to all our requests. Recommended great local restaurants and a 13th century church for Christmas Day. Excellent accommodation! We loved it!

Wow. Staying at Taylour House was like stepping back in time - in the best possible way. The house is steeped in history and beautifully preserved, full of character and charm. It felt like staying in a living museum, but with all the modern comforts thoughtfully in place. Caroline, the host, was absolutely wonderful - friendly, welcoming, and incredibly flexible, which made the whole experience relaxed and easy. The house was spotless, extremely well equipped, and exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Edenbridge, with a great pub directly opposite that serves top-notch Sunday roasts. A rare bonus was having off-street parking for two cars - a real luxury for a town centre property. Taylour House is a gem. Full of history, excellent value, and hosted with genuine warmth - we’d love to come back.

The Coach House was a lovely place to stay. Felt like home. The welcome couldn’t have been more generous and lovely. Linda and her family were very kind and use of a big garden was a bonus. Close to local shop and playground. Loved it. Thank you Linda.

The perfect place for any event with family and friends to relax and enjoy the chilled atmosphere with easy access to all facilities in the area. The host of Cantwara was outstandingly welcoming throughout our stay so I would recommend to anyone planning a staycation in the near future and beyond.

So I always book the accommodation when me and our guys work away We have had some great places down here but when the told me( I was not here the first trip ) about Sat,s place I said okay Nothing but 5 star reviews Now as I book the accommodation I am taking their word! As I write this I am actually here and I can see why they love it Immaculate house Amazing out doors space Sat is an amazing host always keeps in touch Internally and externally this place is class!! This was just what we needed - a beautiful and very comfortable home with a great outdoor space, where we could relax, cook in an amazing kitchen (wow, wow, wow!), and hang out with the two very different cats who come along with the home. We didn't venture very far, as we didn't feel the need to, preferring to spread ourselves around the house and garden and let time do the rest. Deer would visit the garden, especially in the early evening, which was quite magical, even if this did remind us to check for ticks. The whole place was magical in fact, and Emmy was very responsive to messages. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Spent 6 pleasant days at Littleshaw Cottage. Although we went in June the evenings were chilly but the underfloor heating in the cottage kept us warm. All the things we needed, and more, for a comfortable stay were provided. We felt very secure in the cottage as it is in the private grounds of the main house behind a gated driveway. This was our first visit to Kent and there is so much to see. If we returned for another holiday we would like to stay here again.

A great location and a really lovely flat with lots of thoughtful extras plus the added luxury of overlooking the river. Tonbridge is a lovely town and a good launchpad for gardens, historic houses and walks. Highly recommended!

We were in town for a wedding and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. This is a stunning apartment! We wish we could have stayed longer than a night. The whole place is extremely comfortable (including the beds!) and immaculately presented. We found a parking space really easily on the street which was great. The location is amazing, especially if you want to explore The Pantiles. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a lovely stay from beginning to end. Janet was there to greet us and show us round. The home is spotless and has everything you need. Beautiful little garden area at the front that has the sun in the mornings. Short walk into Gravesend for restaurants. When I come back to Kent to catch up with friends I shall definitely stay again.

Beautiful location with stunning garden - just perfect for the Mount Vineyard, golf course and local pubs in the village. It was the second time I had stayed at this property and would recommend without reservation. Brian was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The garden room also has secure off road parking

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was exactly as described and matched the photos perfectly. Everything we needed was provided, making our stay very comfortable and easy. The information we received beforehand was always clear and helpful, and we felt at home right away. Gary and Bianca were always quick to respond and very kind whenever we had a question. The location is fantastic – easy to reach from Gatwick Airport, and just a short walk from East Croydon Station, which made getting into central London and to all the main sights very convenient. Highly recommended – we would love to come back!

We loved staying in Jack's apartment it was so convenient to walk to a restaurant and the Dockside shopping. It was only a 10 min walk to the Historic Dockyard too. It was so quite in the apartment and very comfortable and there was everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Second time at Caroline's place. Fantastic apartment with everything you need, very thoughtfully laid out. Caroline is an exceptionally cool and kind person, highly recommended.

What a perfect getaway spot. We wished we had booked a longer stay! Alison has thought of everything to create a welcoming, stylish and comfortable experience inside and out! Highlights were strolling to the pretty pond area, private fire-pit area, blissfully comfy beds, views of fields and beautiful gardens. Added bonus was the on-site blacksmith’s traditional forge run by Alison’s son and husband!! Highly recommended. Thank you Alison!

Great space for larger families with adult kids especially with one bedroom on lower floor and also having three separate bathrooms. View amazing. Relaxing airy feel. Big bedrooms. Will be back again.

This apartment was one of the most comfortable and considered I have stayed in on Airbnb. Lovingly put together, the interior is attractive and detail orientated, and made us feel very at home. The location couldn't be better, we had a great time and excellent stay.
