Waterfront holiday rentals in Rethymno

Very spacious, modern apt with a beautiful balcony. The street noise below made it difficult to sit out and talk there, but the view of the ocean was very nice. Well appointed kitchen. Very clean and neat. Mihalis gave us a great recommendation for dinner nearby that was lovely. We had a nice stay here

Es war so schön dort! Die perfekte Kombination aus Strand, Meer und Stadt. Die Lage ist perfekt. Der Strand direkt vor der Nase, aber gleichzeitig kann man ein paar Minuten zu Fuß laufen und durch die vielen Touri Shops bummeln. Es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten direkt in der Nähe. Auch Restaurants, Cafes und Strandbars sind in der Nähe. Der Strand ist sauber und man kann schön ins Wasser gehen. Das Stadtzentrum ist nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt und ich habe gesehen dass es auch eine super Busanbindung gibt. Zudem war Georgios super nett. Ohne Nachfragen hat er uns so viele Tipps für die Umgebung geschickt, die echt hilfreich waren. Sonntags gab es leider wegen starkem Wind Sahara Staub der mit einer Regenschauer runterkam und die tolle Terasse war komplett braun und nicht mehr nutzbar. Wir haben Georgios angeschrieben und er war innerhalb kürzester Zeit da um die Terasse wieder sauber zu machen. Einfach ein riesiges Dankeschön für alles, es war ein toller Urlaub:)

Traumhafte Unterkunft direkt am Meer mit privatem Zugang und wunderschönem Außenbereich. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt! Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wein und selbst gebackenen Kuchen 🥰 Artemis hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben! Das Apartment wurde sogar nochmal geputzt und wir haben neue Handtücher bekommen nach 2 Tagen. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen!

Het appartement is compact maar prima. Het ligt iets tegen de heuvel, wat goed beloopbaar is ( wel stijgend dus). Het uitzicht over de baai verveelt nooit, is zo prachtig! In het dorpje voldoende supermarkten en restaurants, genoeg te kiezen. Een flink deel van het strand is een langzaam aflopend zandstrand. Echt fijn! Verder een prima uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te bekijken.

Our family had a wonderful time here. The room was perfect and spacious for our family and everything we needed. The little play set outside entertained the kids a lot and is steps from the beach and excellent restaurants. We had a wonderful time!

A great location. The unit is spotless, modern and spacious. The building was exceptionally clean, and the room had wrap around views of the sea. It would really recommend this place, we chose those as opposed to units further up the beach, because of its views across the sea. It did not disappoint.

We had a an amazing time of a family of four. I would only suggest making a book for guest with instructions on the T.V., A/C, Hot Water, and WiFi password. It would make it much easier for the guest so they do not bother the Host. Also a book so guest can write how their stay was and where they are traveling from. Overall we loved how close we were to everything and the beach is stunning. Lena was a super host:)

Such a phenomenal place! We stayed here as a group of five and it was so reasonably priced. AMAZING views, you are literally right against the water. Gorgeous, clean space. Easy 15 minute walk into Old Town. Host was amazing, she helped us call a taxi when we needed and gave us lots of recommendations. Stay here!!!

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche im Haus Kallisti. Es ist so schön wie auf den Fotos zu sehen, die Küche gut ausgestattet, das Haus blitzsauber und schön eingerichtet. Auch der Außenbereich ist sehr gepflegt, es gibt 2 verschiedenen Grillstationen und chillige Plätze zum entspannen, einen kleinen Pool und bequeme Liegen. Die Nähe zum Naturstrand von Afrathias mit der kleinen Strandtaverne, die tollen Restaurants in den umliegenden Orten (Pitsidia, Kalamaki, Sivas….) - für uns war es der perfekte Ort um zu erholen und die Gegend per Fahrrad zu erkunden. Vielen Dank Heike !!

Magnifique ! Foncez ! Le logement: Wahou ! Propre, cosy, confort. Une magnifique terrasse avec un jacuzzi privé dont nous avons beaucoup profité et une vue sur le petit port à couper le souffle. Une cuisine avec tout ce qu'il faut (frigidaire, vaisselle, couverts, etc ...). 2 belles salles de bains avec tout ce qu'il faut (serviettes, produits, etc ...). Chambres confortables. Un salon avec Netflix, pour ceux qui le soir ont envie de se poser un peu. L'accueil: Wahou ! Harry nous attendait avec le sourire, malgré notre retard (avion, location de voiture, les aléas des voyages🤣). Sur place un tas de choses pour bien commencer nos vacances : fruits, charcuterie, pain, eaux, coca et de quoi déjeuner (confitures, miel ,café ..) Le gros+: Merci à Harry pour ses bons conseils (lieux à visiter, restaurants, tavernes, plages ...) et sa constante disponibilité et rapidité à répondre pendant notre séjour. L'endroit: Très joli port, un peu bruyant et animé le soir. Bon départ pour sillonner.

Zeer mooi appartement. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig. Zeer proper. Uitzicht was prachtig. Chrissa was supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Haar restaurant zo vlakbij was handig. Het eten zeer lekker. Een aanrader. Alles A

Wir wurden direkt äußerst freundlich mit Obst- und Essen empfangen. Die Lage ist wunderbar, man schaut aufs Meer und in die Natur, es ist ruhig und direkt neben der Unterkunft geht ein ca 20-30 min. wunderschöner Weg am Meer entlang in den anderen Ort. Wir haben unsere Zeit genossen und können es 100% weiterempfehlen.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Unterkunft. Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet, in der Küche war alles was man zum kochen benötigt, es gab sogar Kinderspielsachen und Equipment für den Strand. Alles war total sauber und der Kontakt zu Efi war sehr freundlich. Den Garten haben wir sehr gerne genutzt und auch den Grill dort. Vielen Dank, für die schöne Zeit, die wir dort verbringen konnten.

I truly recommend staying with Niko in this beautiful villa! The house is very modern, the outside area spectacular and private and the communication with Niko was clear and helpful. The accommodation works for both families and friends. The house is located around 30mins from Chania which is easy to get to by car. Can only recommend renting this villa.

Traumhaft! Ideal für alle, die die Seele auftanken wollen. Eine unglaubliche Lage, ein unvergleichlicher Ausblick. Eine ausgesucht schöne & persönliche Einrichtung. Wir haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt. 7 wunderbare Tage. Danke und gerne wieder :)

The villa is lovely and has everything you need for a holiday. Clean and well maintained. There was extra cleaning during the week. Great view of the sea and the mountains. The cars passing on the main road, which is 100m below the villa, create a slight noise, but it is not unbearable. Maria is a great host and despite the late evening time of arrival she was waiting for us with a smile. She took care of us all the time and gave us valuable advice. There was a problem with the dishwasher, which was fixed the next day as soon as I informed Maria. We had a great week and would come back again.

We had a great time at Fotis and Amalia’s place. Definitely one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed! The location was perfect as we like to stay just outside of the hustle and bustle but close enough so we can dip in and out with ease. There’s plenty of bakeries, restaurants and supermarkets around. The views are just outstanding and we ended up getting food a few times to eat at home as we enjoyed to look at the sea from the house. It was also easy to cook, there’s plenty of utensils if you wish to prep a meal in. The bed was really comfortable, as I’m 7 months pregnant asked if we could have a couple of extra pillows and this was ready for our arrival. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of groceries we had available at the house too! Fresh fruit (we loved making our own fresh orange juice in the morning!), bread, butter and many other snacks! Fotis was also great at recommending places to visit like beaches, restaurants and museums. We 100% recommend this place!

Nice, modern flat at the beach. Is equipped with everything you may nee d. Very nice owner and the communication with Etouri was pleasant.

Loved the huge deck. Across street from beautiful beach where you could rent chairs and an umbrella and order food and drink. Walk to dozens of all kinds of different restaurants right on the “the strip” and in the old town.

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

My stay was fantastic, The place was very easy to find from just a quick bus ride from the airport. The room was spotless, and all amenities were clean and in great condition. The host went above and beyond, providing fresh fruits and water, which was such a thoughtful touch. His messages were friendly, helpful, and he responded to messages very fast. The place is close to good restaurants and souvenir shops, and literally a 2 min stroll from the beautiful beach. I couldn’t have asked for a better host to make my holiday a success 👍 Highly recommend this place for a comfortable, hassle-free stay!

Die Wohnung liegt perfekt, um die Insel zu erkunden, man ist im Zentrum der Insel, sofort auf der Autobahn (Empfehlung: vor Einzug unbedingt rückwärts am Berg anfahren üben!!) und trotzdem ist die Wohnung sehr ruhig und hat einen tollen Blick aufs Meer. Vor allem der kleine Balkon direkt über dem Meer hat es uns angetan, auch wenn er im Sommer vielleicht etwas zu heiß/zu wenig schattig sein könnte. Hier schließt man auch schnell Freundschaft mit den 4 Katzen, die gelegentlich auch den Nachbarshund zur Weißglut treiben. Wer Angst vor Katzen hat, sollte sich bei diesen anhänglichen Exemplaren lieber eine andere Wohnung suchen, Katzenfreunde werden es lieben. Mariannas Mutter ist eine gute Seele, bringt Eier der hauseigenen Hühner sowie frisches Obst und Gemüse vorbei. Alles in allem für uns der perfekte Ort, um die Erkundung der Insel mit Erholung zu kombinieren.

Excellent location, very clean and large apartment Comfortable beds, good quality air conditioning that is adjustable in each rooms Provided a travel cot and high chair for our baby which was very helpful Few steps up into the apartment, but then there is a lift to get luggage up Beautiful view, unfortunately the balcony was out of action for our stay as they were replacing the railing with a glass one - this did make it a challenge to dry clothes, but hopefully wont be an issue for others. Kitchen is pretty sparsely equipped, though we didn't need to do much cooking. Would have been good to have some cupboard essentials provided that you don't want to have to buy like condiments, coffee, oil, salt and pepper etc.

This is a great location a short drive from the Heraklion airport, Knossos, Heraklion city center and many beautiful surrounding beaches, including one that is just outside the property! Super convenient to start or end your day with a swim on a beach and then just walk a few steps to shower without having to bother with driving anywhere. The beach had a lot of kids on it, so I can also see this being a great location for a small family if you want to spend most of the days just relaxing! There are several restaurants nearby, and two right across from the property, so you can also end your day with a glass of wine overlooking the water. The apartment is incredibly clean and not cramped, and Rena provided free local cookies (yum!)--she and her family were amazing hosts! Super kind and quick to respond, also with great recommendations on things to do, places to eat, etc. I felt really supported as a solo female traveler, and the location is very safe.
