Farmstay holiday rentals in Rangitikei River

Bronwyn met us and walked us to our accommodation which was bright , clean & welcoming. As Bronwyn stated it’s rural but has a beautiful setting. Thank you. 10/10

Wonderful wee railway cottage. Kids cracked up/crapped their pants when the trains roared past in the night but it became part of their norm in no time. Great wee cottage with everything we needed and close to town. Perfect for going up the mountain and super helpful host! Thank you.

Second time staying here and was as good as we remembered. Love the fireplace! Great spot as about 45 minutes from the snow.

Karen and co’s spot was perfect, the pod was cosier and more comfortable than we had imagined with a lovely personal fridge and kettle space. It was lovely and warm, with the bathroom block and kitchen/lounge really great and easy to use. Really tranquil place, and a lovely break on a long drive. Thank you!

The Oruamatua Shearers quarters were a delight to stay in. Set in picturesque farmland, we appreciated the peace and privacy and were grateful to the family for allowing us the use of the farm tracks. The quarters were stylishly renovated but maintained the character of the original building. With a great fireplace and heat transfer system we were very cosy in spite of heavy frosts. Clean, comfortable and welcoming accommodation.

Amazing spot to stop. Karen was really good and very proactive and accommodating. Will come back with more time to have a proper look at the farm!!

I had a lovely stay. It was such a peaceful environment. Lynn was adorable and gave me a lot of travelling advices.

We were touring around New Zealand and stayed across a number of BnB’s but none came close to this one. Simply beautiful, felt like we were at home, it was clean, woke up to cute sheeps grazing the fields. Everything was perfect :)

Beautiful property and very comfortable room. Vanessa and Phil were great hosts and were flexible with use of the kitchen, parking, and check-in time. The accommodation is perfect for students studying at the university short-term and I can only imagine the weddings would be gorgeous!

Absolutely loved our stay at Andrew’s, it was so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful native bush, meaning the bird life was bountiful. The house was everything we needed, the fireplaces made us feel at home and cozy. Communication was great, and Catherine was super helpful and always available for questions. We’ll be back for sure!!

Immaculately kept property with friendly hosts and dog and cat and sheep and chickens. Dawn has thought of everything you may have forgotten to. bring and home produce a special touch.

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend! The peace and quiet was just what we needed and being cosy watching the rain fall was just perfect! We had everything we needed and Philippa was prompt and clear with communication. Highly recommend!

The perfect place for a family holiday. Everyone loved there time here. A great secluded spot away from the noise of city life. The home and property were very tranquil. Great sunrises, sunsets and the most stunning starry skies at night. Would love to come back again.

We couldn’t have been made more welcome. Steve and Annette are delightful, having lived in the area for most of their lives they were knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions covering the location, history and politics of the area. The home was exactly as pictured and described. It was around twelve minutes drive from town, which should be considered for dinner options but the kitchen was well set up for self catering, and breakfast provided with a range of cereals, breads and refreshments. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the home was spotless, we could not recommend them highly enough. And their little dog Ruby was a perfectly behaved and wonderful welcoming committee.

Meet the Indiana Jones of Ashley Clinton! Such a lovely weekend spent over Easter. Greeted by wonderful hosts and their pet dog Xena. Welcomed with hot cross buns and Easter eggs. Freshly baked loafs in the morning were a delight. Museum and the korero by Lex was an amazing experience, and a highlight to the stay. It’s truly more than what one can bargain for. We were really impressed with their collection of taxidermy and weaponry over different centuries. I’m sure if we had more time with the hosts, we would be thrilled to just sit down next to a fire and listen to all their adventures.

Great place to stay, spa was relaxing after a day of golf!

Stunning view of Mount Ruapehu as you drive to Ohakune! Great region to explore or rest for the night! Kate has a guestbook with everything you need to know about her place, recommendations of where to eat, and what to explore in the area. We needed a night’s rest before driving to Auckland all the way from Wellington, and I’m glad we chose her place. 5 stars!

Andy was a very responsive and proactive host which made us feel relaxed and reassured to reach out if needed. The home was as described and suited our needs perfectly. The view was just glorious and the location fantastic!
