Hard to describe how amazing it was to stay with Margaret and Peter! Always made to feel right at home from the beginning. Location was breathtaking and photos don’t begin to do it justice. Secluded enough that you don’t feel like you’re still in the city but close enough to everything you need to enjoy and relax during your holiday. Lovely place! Lovely hosts! We loved our stay at Tanya’s place. It was set up perfectly to accommodate our 2 year old while simultaneously being a cosy, comfortable and peaceful retreat for us adults. It’s out of the way but still close to all the great things in the area (beach, cafes, breweries) and felt like a real home away from home. We were lucky enough to be able to buy a few farm fresh eggs and lemons from Tanya’s kids too! Highly recommended!

We spent a week here with 3 families (6 adults, 6 kids mainly teenagers) during winter and the house was ideal. Accommodated 12 of us well, kids made great use of the pool (even in winter) and pool table. Open fire was great. Kitchen good for cooking at home with all those kids, pantry came with sauces and spices which really helped. Location great, short drive to beautiful beaches, wineries, breweries and shops and restaurants in town when needed, but it was beautiful and peaceful to sit and watch the roos at start and end of day. Chelsea was super responsive when we needed some help with the dryer. Could not recommend more highly.

We had a wonderful long weekend getaway at the charming Heartbeat Retreat which provided the perfect blend of comfort, luxury and convenience for my family. The house was spotless, well-equipped with everything we needed—from kitchen essentials to cozy linens—and the spacious layout made it easy for everyone to relax and enjoy. The kids loved the backyard playground and nearby nature trails, while we appreciated the peaceful setting and thoughtful touches like board games. The sauna and gym were professional grade and were used by everyone each day. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we’re already planning and looking forward to our next visit!
