Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Playacar

Wow, BOOK it now! We loved our Spring Break retreat here. The sprawling house is amazing. It was perfect for our 2 families (9 ppl - 4 adults, 5 teen or preteens). We had enough room to spread out but all connect in the amazing spots throughout the property. The house setup gives lots of flexibility to accommodate variety of guests. The porch is awesome. The pool and waterfall are relaxing. The cenote is truly uniques. The support team (Ruth - housekeeper and Rafael - handyman, grounds) are a superb extra perk. We coordinated for a bfast and dinner by Ruth and perfecto. They treat the property and guests with real caring. The location is convenient for all types of activities. We couldn't have asked for more and highly recommend.

Jess’s place was everything we imagined and more. Beautiful gem well worth the price plus, very responsive and helpful hosts.

The place is very quiet, safe and very close to all the entertainment places you can look for in Playa del Carmen. The hospitality that Claudia provides is unparalleled, always very attentive. We are grateful for all the attention that she gave us and the very good recommendations that she made. In short, we will return, because it made us feel not only that we were at home but that it made us feel as if we were someone in his family.

Gustavo's place was just what we needed. Don't expect 5-star service, rather authentic Mexican living in an amazing place with 5 different outdoor locations to chill. There are leaves (it's a jungle paradise), and be careful for occasional branch that may fall. It's beautiful, serene, peaceful. There were also some bugs in the back (but it's a jungle paradise and we were there in May); one of the many terraces has a bug curtain that helps manage that. It's shady in the back, full sun on the shared rooftop (we didn't see anyone else up there). It's not a tourist neighborhood FYI! I've been to Playa del Carmen 4 different times, and this place was the best! Also the best local food close-by. So relaxing, and so many birds that sing all day! We spent most of the time in the casa. Pool has to be skimmed (the yard's greenery is spectacular -> leaves), but Gustavo is very responsive and helped run the filter mid-week as well. Gustavo speaks Spanish, use Google Translate if you need it.

If I had to pick one feature about the place - that would be location: 5 minutes walking from the beach, in a quiet security-protected community [ don't forget your wrist band !! :) ], 15 minutes from the nearest restaurants on the 5th Avenue. Taxi was easy to catch at the Riu hotel (opposite side of the street, 5 minutes walk) - prices are listed upfront, drivers accept credit cards (10% extra charge is listed too). So, no surprises. The townhome is not brand new, but clean; equipment (washer/dryer/gas stove ...) work fine. We, family of 4 = 2 adults + 2 kids (13 & 15yo) used pool a lot around noon - nobody was there most of the time. HVAC cooled the bedrooms on the 2nd floor better when the fan was set to low or medium - not to hi (a bit counterintuitive, so thanks to host for help with that). Very good mattresses (usually it is an issue for us). 3 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas are available behind small doors under the stairs (1st floor). A bottle of wine was waiting for us - nice!

This house is perfect. It’s huge. Close to the beach and amazing. Don’t hesitate to book it.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Mariposa. The house was clean and well maintained, and the location was perfect, close to the beach and downtown Playa. What really stood out was the excellent service. Jasmin and Edson were responsive and accommodating prior to our arrival, and the concierge (Mauricio) was especially helpful during our stay—always available to assist with anything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Playa. Thanks again to Mauricio and the staff for making our trip truly enjoyable.

Highly recommend it! If you are planning to visit Cozumel, don't miss this. This local spot offers quick access to the nearby ferry terminal in under three minutes, making your travel experience easy and enjoyable. The service was excellent, and the view from the location was stunning. However, the temperature in the garage can get uncomfortably hot, especially with so many mini splits running, impacting both elevators and staircases within the area. (Don’t worry, the apartment is not effected at all). Overall, this place is a fantastic choice

Patricia's home was just so beautiful and comfortable. You could tell that this had been someone's home vs an empty soulless airbnb. It had just about every utensil or supplies that you could need. The beds were comfortable and the communication top notch. They were very responsive and the home was located a 7 minute drive from the popular 5th avenue area. It was amazing for me. I had a rental car so loved the gated community and safety of the building. Came home at all times of the night and never felt unsafe. I would stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Gomez’s place! The apartment was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive throughout our stay, which made everything easy and stress-free. We especially loved the tennis courts and the beautiful views — it truly felt like a vacation. There were fans throughout the space, and you could open the windows to let the lovely breeze in. The bed was super comfortable, and the location was ideal — close enough to walk to everything, but tucked away from the main drag so it was peaceful at night. The pool was empty most of the time so we practically had it to ourselves, and the security team was always around, friendly, and made the area feel very safe. Having a designated parking spot right out front was a huge plus, especially when we rented a car for day trips. Would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay in playacar was incredible. The condo was beautiful, clean and a great place to relax during our stay. There was so much to do in the surrounding areas of playa del Carmen and many choices to eat and shop. We loved how safe we felt in the playacar community and how we could chose from a relaxing day by the pool or having a fun adventure in a Cenote! We would definitely return and recommend! Our host Asaf was incredibly responsive and helpful with recommendations for places to go and also tips to make our trip easy and relaxing. We took many of his suggestions about where to eat and the places to visit as well as things like where to shop and how to use the atms etcetera. I wish all hosts were this helpful! It made our trip that much more enjoyable. Thank you so much!

The place was exactly as posted. Communication was very outstanding, and it was very safe. And of course the 7-11 is very convenient

Super recommended accommodation, clearly stopping in Playacar is the best, since the center of Playa del Carmen is quite ugly in the evenings. The dpto was fine in general, some details that should be taken care of as much as they are due to wear of time (the air gleamed water sometimes) and that the chairs on the bar could only be used in the lowest position, making it impossible to eat in it. Everything else is ok. The complex is super comfortable, the pool spectacular, and Andi that takes you everywhere inside playacar with the Golf Cart when needed. In case of walking to the center, it's 10/15 min of quiet walk. Thank you for hosting us, we look forward to returning for the 3rd time soon!

The apartment was great. Had everything you need for the stay. Wifi was great also. Had no problems. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Great location, so close to the beach and private beach entrance. They even had all the things you need for the beach like chairs and umbrellas. Would go back 100%

Super nice accommodation with a private jacuzzi, the penthouse is like the photos. The street was under construction and we did not have access to the parking lot. The host refunded us the amount we paid to park. This was greatly appreciated, even if it was beyond his control. The host was very responsive and responded quickly. I highly recommend!!!

The apartment was clean, beautiful and exactly as pictured. We especially loved the large balcony, which offered a view of the pool, but was also very private. We enjoyed the restaurants across the street and felt very safe. We were travelling with two young kids and the two bedroom set-up worked well for us. I will say the second bedroom doesn’t have a ton of privacy (slatted door with no noise barrier), so while it was perfect for our toddler, I could see that it might be challenging for adults. Many reviews say the apartment is close to the beach and 5th avenue. At the time that we were there the “shuttle” to those places was out of service, so it was a ~25 min walk minimum. This wasn’t ideal to do everyday with two toddlers so I wish we would have known that in advance. Also, the “pool bar/restaurant” was never open during our stay - I did ask the host about it but didn’t end up getting an answer. Again, just some inconveniences that you would hope to avoid traveling with kids.

We had a great stay at Garson’s Condo. This our second time staying and it was like the first time-excellent. Great place to stay in Playa del Carmen. Very safe area and good location. Excellent communication with host. We definitely recommend it and look forward to staying here again.

We loved it, true to what was described, they left us a little detail to welcome us that my little girl was left of pearls. The bed is super wide. 2 bathrooms uff super well when you go with children. We don't need anything else. We were able to cook to the taste of the little ones. We loved it! The pool is still great, we almost didn't touch anything from people. I would definitely recommend and go back to the same place!
