Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Playa Negra

Honestly it’s exactly what is described. Location is great close enough to the beach to get there quickly- 4x4 definitely required but worth it. I made it in my crossover but high 4x4 ideal. I got photos of a howler monkey! I saw hummingbirds, agoutis, bananas and pineapples, not ripe yet but still beautiful. No air but honestly with the fan blowing right on my I slept like a baby… until the howlers anyways… still awesome. Advice for travelers book it- do not hesitate- plan to sleep in very little with a fan and you’ll do splendid. This is a legit jungle experience and worth every moment. My favorite stay by far in Costa Rica. Take drinking water WITH you (they told me but I didn’t listen so reiterating for folks like myself😂) and enjoy!!

Beautiful secluded location near popular beaches and restaurants. Loved the design and layout of the home. We spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor living space, which includes a comfortable seating area and large table. Howler monkeys and agouti in the yard.

The home was beautiful and looked just like the photos! Please keep in mind this is an open concept home. So understandably nature will join you if you are sitting in the outdoor common area. We very much enjoyed evenings playing in the pool. The kitchen was stocked with all the needed utensils to cook meals. AC worked great in all the bedrooms. Area felt super safe with 2 gates to get into the home. Can’t wait to come back! Host was prompt and responded to any questions we had.

The place was great!!! At times a little too close to the howler monkeys they are loud! He is a great host and super helpful. It has an amazing view and his property is well kept. It’s walking distance from the beach BUT it’s a steep walk back just be aware of that.

Host was lovely and helped us when needed. A cute place to stay and very handy to have a contact for tuk tuk transportation and great Italian food when requested.

Mery’s place was just as described. Very comfortable, cozy and quaint. Well worth the value and I highly recommend. Took a while to find the exact place, although the shuttle was right there. Some type of signage out front would be helpful, but she responded immediately with a picture of where I was looking for.

Great accomandation for digital nomads! The wifi is really good. The area is super quiet and chill & has plenty full of wildlife. You have everything you need nearby. I would recommend renting a bike for an extra smooth experience but you can also easily get around on foot. 10/10 would recommend! :)

Lovely studio! Very clean and comfortabel and an unmatched location right at the beach. Bonus points for the excellent wifi and water pressure. Would definetly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful place right next to the beach super clean. I highly recommend this for anybody there’s a market next-door and the beach is right there. The host could not be more welcoming. This was my second time staying here. Easy to find, close to everything, and the restaurant is absolutely delicious! A little pricey but 100% worth every penny plus she offers a 10% discount for guests. I would come back just for the food. The pasta is amazing. If you get off the bus from San Jose this is the perfect place to stay being that it is only a few minutes walk away from the bus stop. The beds are comfortable and the only downside would be it’s a little noisy being so close to everything but it did not bother me at all. I would definitely stay here again!

Mangovilla was everything we hoped for and more. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops, yet still peaceful and relaxing. Communication with the host was smooth and positive from start to finish, making everything super easy. The place itself is clean, charming, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The place is super spacious, beautiful and as it appears in the photos. Where I stayed, there was nothing to cook with (pots), there was no microwave, and the kitchen was gas. But out of there, everything is fine, very quiet and you can walk to the black beach.

I had a perfect stay in Puerto Viejo and in Ernyk his airbnb. He helped me with extra requests which was very nice. The house is very new and beautiful, a lot of green and animals around + only 5 min bikeride to shops and restaurants. Another plus is the eco friendly elements in the house. I would recommend this place 1000% and hope to return someday.

Good accommodation in a quiet area of Puerto Viejo, 5 minutes by car from downtown. We travel with family 4 people and stayed in one of the casitas they have with kitchen and bunk bed. Spacious and comfy stay. As shown in the photos. Cozy common area and very clean pool. The manager Giacomo was very nice and always attentive. Highly recommended.

Our accommodation was amazing, we had an amazing weekend with my family! I recommend the accommodation to other families The location is close to the center so you can hear a little bit of vehicle noise but the place is really quiet.

Amazing stay, these apartments must be the most modern in the town! It was brand new and spotless. Great WiFi.
