This beautiful home is located in the jungle and is an absolute masterpiece of a property. Seeing monkeys in the yard that you’re staying at was a really cool experience. The host was so helpful with recommendations on the way in and on the way out of town. Our car even broke down and he sent his assistant to be able to help us out. His assistant was able to get the car started and they refused to take any money from us. Beautiful house from beautiful people. So grateful.

Chris's place is very comfortable, and conveniently located to the beach and Cahuita downtown. There's a grocery store not far (maybe 15 min driving), and the kitchen is equipped for cooking meals. The beds are comfortable and the outdoor showers are amazing. The yard welcomes all sorts of wildlife as well - birds, agouti, and even a sloth presented itself! I would stay here again.

The property offers everything you need and more and is located in a nice neighborhood outside of Puerto Viejo. Jayr gives precise instructions and was quickly reachable, so I felt very comfortable. My roommates were two small baby geckos and there are also a few ants (as mentioned in some reviews), but these can be easily checked by careful handling of food and dishes (in addition, there is a spray). The kitchen is very well equipped and the air conditioning in the bedroom ensures good comfort. A bonus offers the outdoor shower to keep the house largely sand-free. I felt very comfortable I highly recommend it!

This place is incredible, a truly unique gem. The open layout makes you feel one with the natural surroundings and is awesome rain or shine. There are so many different spaces to hang, and it's very private. The bedrooms have doors that close and screens, along with aircondlting and fans, which allow you a peaceful night sleep. The beds were SUPER comfortable. The stone bathroom is so cool and there is both an indoor and outdoor shower. The outdoor shower was magical and we essentially used this most of the time. The kitchen has simple supplies and no oven, but it gets the job done and we were able to eat several meals at home, which saved a bundle since restaurants are expensive. It's ~15min from downtown Puerto Viejo, but it is in between a lot of different stuff, and is on a road that leads to an awesome zipline tour. The pool is not heated, but feels refreshing on warm days and is warm enough. He keeps it immaculately clean! There are poison dart frogs all over:) so fun!

Our stay was excellent. The place was fine and just like the pictures. Host Ricardo was very friendly and was always available to answer our questions and a very pleasant person and very concerned that we were fine. Also, welcome little details, they made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place and we would love to return. Thank you for everything!

A large house with a stunning common space. Idyllic place surrounded by nature and priced beyond accessible. Totally recommended. Rosa and Dennis are very flexible and good hosts. We will be back.

For us this was one of the best experiences we ever had on Airbnb. Nice, spacious house with a large porch and balcony. Aurelia welcomed us at the house and made us feel at home right away. The house is only a ten minute walk away from the beach (Playa Negra) - perfect. In the garden you find a spacious and well-maintained pool - great to cool off. Best of all though - in the very same garden you find lots of different species of wildlife. We had many different types of birds including some beautiful hummingbirds, howler monkeys, agutis and even a number of poison dart frogs - normally very hard to spot in the forest. Basically you can just sit on the porch and wait for the animals to come by - great experience. If we get the chance we’ll definitely come back … Thanks again Amelia for being such a kind host …

I cannot say enough good things about my husband and I’s stay at this beautiful bungalow! Zvezda was a wonderfully responsive host and prepared us well for check in, and the caretakers of the property welcomed us warmly. We were floored at the gorgeous surroundings when we arrived on the property. While lounging in the pool we were able to watch monkeys, macaws, butterflies, etc. The bungalow itself was also adorable and had everything we needed for our week long stay. If you’re looking for a private stay amidst nature in the Punta Uva/Puerto Viejo area, this is your spot!

We had an amazing stay, loved cooking in that kitchen and my kids enjoyed their leisure time in the pool, the pergola was were we all preferred to hang out. Xavi was responsible, went above and beyond, he even answered my requests to where get my friend's hair braided, excellent host. Looking forward to our next visit. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our two night stay. The location is secluded away from the hassle and bustle of Puerto Viejo but close where you can take a Tuk Tuk or bike ride (easy to rent nearby) to the center. Playa Chiquita is the closest beach but you can also visit Cocles and Punta Uva (our fave). The Airbnb has all the amenities you need and the host, Stephanie, was very responsive. We hope to return to this hidden oasis soon!

With Dalma and her husband, 5 stars are actually not enough. The two welcomed us warmly and everything was well prepared (including a homemade welcome drink in the fridge). The cottage is lovingly furnished and is just on the border of Cahuita-Natiolpark. A little dream with wonderful hosts. From us there are 10 out of 5 stars!

This Airbnb in Puerto Viejo was a hidden gem—secure, peaceful, and tucked right in the middle of the jungle. One of the highlights was the nearby trail that led to a beautiful, secluded beach just a short walk away. Waking up to the sound of howler monkeys early in the morning was a wild and unforgettable experience—it really added to the jungle vibe. If you're looking for a nature-immersed stay with beach access and a sense of adventure, this place is a great pick.

We loved our stay here in Manzanillo - this is a quiet, peaceful location that feels very private yet close to the beach & nearby restaurants. We used the bikes to get to the beach (5 mins) - which was absolutely gorgeous. We saw several blue morpho butterflies through the nice look-out. Hosts were friendly & check-in was easy. We just wish we had more time here! We highly recommend this place to recharge and to stay in a rustic (yet nice!) Costa Rican jungle paradise.
