House holiday rentals in Playa Langosta

My family enjoyed 11 nights at John’s place. The house was more spacious than expected. All amenities needed were available. We felt safe at the house and surrounding area. The pool was wonderful and we enjoyed it daily. There is a grocery store and 5 restaurants very close by. Tamarindo is about a 15 min walk. We did not have a car. You can rent golf carts if needed. Beaches - Playa Langosta is a very short walk 5 min and you can walk to Tamarindo beach in about 15 min. Tamarindo is busier, it was nice to stay in a quieter area. Howler monkeys were seen morning and night right on the roof of the house and trees in the yard. We also saw iguanas and variegated squirrels in the yards along with a number of birds. Cleaning service was included in the stay the lovely lady came a number of times while we were there. John was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to my many questions prior and during our stay. We would stay again at John’s villa.

Juan, Snider and Eddie were amazing hosts! It was beautiful, relaxing and safe! Delicious breakfast and amazing pools. Fun to have the cat and dog around too for Nick our 7yo. Would stay there again when in Costa Rica!

This place was pristine! Whoever designed this home had excellent attention to detail. The landscape has grown in nicely since the pictures were taken so the property was even more beautiful than expected. With no adjacent rear neighbor, the trees, foliage and wildlife behind the home are beautiful. In fact, there is only one home adjacent to the property but and it's separated by a pretty good privacy fence. Loved the small surf town of Playa Grande as well!

Depuis le début de nos échanges, Al a été très réactif et a répondu à toutes nos questions. Il nous a procuré une chaise haute et un lit de bébé pour nous éviter de transporter les nôtres dans le but d'améliorer notre séjour. La cuisine déborde d'instruments pour cuisiner. Une maison avec deux appartements sur le terrain dont la piscine qui est partagée. Un espace privé tout prêt de la plage, d'une épicerie (très proche, mais très cher), des restaurants. Vous pouvez marcher jusqu'à la ville de Tamarindo. Je recommande fortement si jamais vous voulez passer beaucoup de temps dans un petit paradis.

We stayed at Johan's place from Feb 1st-8th. Their place is exactly like the pictures. They have it fully equipped which is great when you're "away from home but it feels like home!" It's in a gated community so you feel safe and close to everything. We really enjoyed the terrace and the pool! Thanks so much for having us!!

They arranged reliable transportation with a wonderful driver (Rafael), food delivery, golf cart rental, and excursions, thinking of every detail. The home was a tropical paradise: a pristine pool, beautifully decorated and spotless bedrooms, and top-tier amenities including a modern kitchen and relaxing outdoor spaces. We felt completely safe and loved the proximity to beaches, restaurants, and shops—all just minutes away. Truly one of our best travel experiences. If you are looking for a unique Costa Rican experience, this is the place for you. The house backs up to a rainforest, where you will enjoy indoor/outdoor living, encounter Howler monkeys swinging from the trees, birds chirping, the sound of rain falling against the leaves. And yes there were a few critters, but that was to be expected, especially since we visiting during the beginning of the rainy season. The beds are cozy and the house is less than 10 minutes from town, the beach, restaurants and shopping. David was responsive and made great recommendations. Our experience was definitely memorable.

We recently stayed at this amazing and had a truly wonderful experience. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed. The pool was crystal clear and perfect for lounging, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials. One of the standout parts of our stay was how responsive and helpful our host, Evelyn, was. She made everything easy and stress-free, from check-in to answering questions during our stay. Her attentiveness added a special touch. The location was ideal—peaceful and quiet, yet everything was within walking distance, including shops, restaurants, and the beach. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway where you can truly unplug and unwind. Each morning, we woke up to the unique sound of howler monkeys in the distance. While we didn’t see them on the property, hearing them added a special, natural vibe to the trip. If you’re planning a visit, we recommend bringing bug spray, get used to seeing bugs and lizards.

The best AirBnB ever! I was sad to leave this incredible home away from home. It has everything you need. Usually, rentals lack the right utensils, enough plates, etc… NOT THIS PLACE! This had everything and all the nice extras. I highly recommend this home for an incredible vacation experience. We were able to enjoy all that Playa Grande has to offer plus some other wonderful excursions that were short drives away. AMAZING! Ready to come back.

We stayed for one week. We loved how peaceful it was and the pool was much needed. The monkeys are the highlight - they come and go without any bother. Could watch them all day.

A nice property off the beaten path. It is a few miles out of Tamarindo with decent roads to get to the house. Beautiful nature surrounding the house. Carolina is very responsive and made our stay easy.

Lovely, clean and comfortable home in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. We arrived in the evening and it was a little bit of work getting into the neighborhood (they didn’t have our names for arrival). Power went out the first morning so that interrupted cooking breakfast (thankfully we brought some food and we used the grill) but then we also didn’t have water or a/c (and then had to get instructions for water filtering system). Also could not get into laundry facilities, even using a second set of keys. Host/concierge was responsive to communication but still couldn’t fix situation. Host/concierge also helped us start outdoor fire pit. Definitely would need to have or rent a car as it is not walkable to any tourist spots, beach, restaurants or stores. We had trouble getting Ubers and getting food for evening meals. We walked to JW Marriott but the beach was not a swimming beach and no amenities unless you stay or pay to join club. We were able to get an uber/taxi from the hotel.

The home was cleanly, modern and well organized. I liked the location and layout. Had a great experience at the property.

We loved our week stay in Playa Hermosa. The view is amazing and the house was the perfect size for us. We loved the gym, deck and pool. Ian was super helpful with scheduling activities. The best part of our stay was definitely having Rebecca come every morning and make us the best breakfasts ever! She is a superstar and even helped us with our Spanish. We will definitely return and would highly recommend visiting!

What an incredible place. It’s a few minutes outside Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo and worth the drive. The place has insane views and is so unique. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. 11/10.

Casa Cheetah was wonderful! Giselle made our stay even more enjoyable with the friendly daily service. Bedrooms were large, beds were comfortable and the house in general was amazing. Will definitely stay here again. Easy to get to town and beaches and hosts and concierge service made our vacation wonderful. I traveled with 5 older teenage kids and we felt very safe in the community.

Casa De La Perla met and exceeded all of our expectations. The house was just perfect for our family of seven and the views from the deck overlooking the infinity pool were breathtaking!! The sunsets were spectacular! The location was perfect with easy access to a wealth of restaurants in downtown Tamarindo. The whole family enjoyed the experience and we are all excited to return. The hosts were very informative and super responsive. We will be back!

Camille and her mom are wonderful hosts. The house was like a beautiful dream. It smelled so good every time I entered. The pool was always clean. I saw many animals. We didn't want to leave, but we would definitely come back again with my family to stay longer. The nature, the animals, the birds—I was truly happy there. I recommend that future guests be aware that if the directions don't lead you past Flamingo Beach, you might be on the wrong path. It's better to take the longer route to be sure.

We had a wonderful stay! House is even more beautiful than the pictures! Extremely clean and comfortable beds/seating areas… Outdoor space is gorgeous. Perfect set up for our family vacation with adult children/SO Primary bedroom is on its own floor with sitting area, and private porch. Could be great for a girls weekend too! We rented a car and explored Playa Grande and surrounding areas… We loved Pots & bowls, Huerto’s, Surf Dog and the brewery in town for dining options. Great house in Playa Grande, close to restaurants and beach! Highly recommend!

Très bel endroit Très tranquille et sécuritaire

The Casa Vera Vista was a beautiful villa on the cliff side over looking the bay with the most beautiful sunsets. The villa was close to the beach and great restaurants plus a good starting point for many excursions. The concierge team was always there when we needed them throughout the entire trip as well as with planning prior to arriving. The house was very clean, decorated very tastefully and had comfortable beds. The daily cleaning service was very helpful with three kiddos in tow. We had two dinners and breakfast with the recommended chefs and they exceeded our expectations, with both delicious food and friendly company. Our driver Raudy was always on time, professional and was very helpful in getting around with our busy itinerary. We definitely did a lot on our trip (zip lining, deep sea fishing, ATVs, snorkeling, rainforest, waterfalls, hot springs etc) and staying at the villa with the concierge service made it that much more special. Lots of wild at the house too! Pura Vida

This Airbnb is the perfect place to disconnect. The area is super quiet—ideal for relaxing and recharging. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Rodrigo was an amazing host—always attentive, quick to respond, and thoughtful about every detail. You can tell he genuinely cares about making the stay great. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway away from the noise, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

This is a great place even if you never left the property it's such an enjoyable place to be we have watched the monkeys eat mangoes from the trees the rain in the evening and enjoyed the pool during the day the beach is a 3 minute drive and the home is absolutely amazing wouldn't change a thing.

We had a great stay and hope to go back. Here are a few of our highlights: - House was perfect for a week long vacation in Avellanas for the 4 of us (parents plus two teenage sons). The kitchen was well stocked, the AC kept things cool at night, and we loved having AM coffee on the patio listening to birds and monkeys. - We very heavily used the community pool. We were the only ones staying in our group of homes around the pool so we had it to ourselves each day. It was cleaned daily. - It was a long walk to the beach (20min) so we often drove to the maintained parking lot by Lola's and paid the modest $4. (The fee helps maintain the beach access so it seems well-worth paying each day.) Because it was still walkable, we'd often walk home, leaving the kids with the car to finish up a surf session... it was nice to have that flexibility. - The gated community with guards felt very secure, but the overall area also felt very safe for our 5-7 mile runs, evening strolls, and more!
