Holiday rentals with beach access in Penobscot River

Stayed here post honeymoon and I can’t say enough nice things about Pam and her home. From the moment you arrive to the first time you open the door you can tell Pam really put in a lot of thought and love into making this place as amazing as it is. She even left us homemade muffins which were AMAZING. Also, You have a question? There is probably a sticky note close by with an answer on it, if not she is so nice and responsive . The home itself is an absolute GEM. She has a little coop facing her kitchen in the back yard with little duck chicken goat and ponies friends to say hi to. The balcony in the Airbnb overlooks the backyard and it is so carefully put together and clean, you will see the animals just wandering around and grazing. Pam gave us recommendations for places near by and the run down of bar harbor. I would 100% recommend and stay at this place again. Thank you Pam!!!!

We had a very relaxing and peaceful weekend at Andrew’s place! The interior was gorgeous and comfortable, the backyard and path down to the water were so pretty and private. Andrew was super responsive, kind, and helpful. Belfast is an adorable little town, we would definitely go back.

We had a fantastic stay in Tremont! Nancy's place was spotless and well appointed, with a beautiful view of the water. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and essentials (coffee, tea, sugar, salt etc), making it easy to cook several meals. The apartment is in a peaceful part of MDI, yet conveniently close to the island's sights and towns. Nancy was responsive and helpful - overall a great stay. Highly recommend!

Dear Julie - We had a fantastic time in Maine, the people were lovely and your place was absolutely perfect! All new, so clean, private bedrooms, a hot shower after a day of hiking at Acadia, et cetera, et cetera. You have every single detail covered from the kitchen to the bathroom. I was in need of nothing and really had to think to provide some constructive feedback, and here it is. A vegetable steamer basket would be a great addition. Haha, that's it. Sooooo glad we stayed in Ellsworth instead of Bar harbor. Don't get me wrong, Bar Harbor is beautiful right by the ocean, but it's a bit too touristy for me, and the inflated restaurant prices are hard to endure. A 25 minute drive from Ellsworth put us at the loop road entrance to Acadia, so simple. We spent Saturday night at The Black Moon Public House whooping it up with locals to live music by the band T.O.M.B. Perfect week, perfect ending. If you read this and need a place to stay, book it. You'll be glad you did.

Great stay! Clean comfortable studio set up perfect for extended stay! Really enjoyed the time. Had everything. Right next to snowmobile trails and the lake! Can’t ask for much more.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The location was amazing. Right off Main Street and totally walkable to anything in bar harbor with a parking space! It was on the right side of bar harbor to get to Acadia within 5 minutes. We loved all of the restaurants close by and the access to the park. The place was so comfortable and cozy! Beautifully decorated and warm after cold hikes in the park. We did not hear any noise at all from the hospital which is tiny compared to the hospitals in Virginia. I didn’t even notice it was there. Brianne was so kind and responsive and recommended lots of good hiking and dining options. I can’t wait to come back here again! If I could give this home 6 stars I would and I am usually a picky reviewer! We will definitely be back to the same house if we come back to Bar Harbor, which I hope we do! It’s a great base for exploring Acadia! The kitchen was well stocked and the bedroom was very comfortable. Thanks so much for sharing with us!

Nancy is a very friendly and kind host. The place is very quiet and tidy. It’s very easy for us to drive to Acadia National Park.

Our stay was located in the lower level. The home was comfortable and the view was great. The living area is very spacious. William was very responsive.

I was looking for a comfortable place to stay while my husband and I were town, and this was definitely it! We felt right comfortable and right at home, and it was wonderful having the whole place to ourselves. The location is beautiful and tranquil, and you can't ask for a better view. There were a few minor hiccups while we were there, but Ashley was proactive and responded immediately. We will be back in the future and recommend this place to others as well!

Great stay for our family of 5 adults and 3 toddlers! Lots to do and great proximity to Acadia/Bar Harbor. House was well supplied with clear instructions. Brady also connected with us before the stay and kept in touch for anything that came up as a concern. Thank you!

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very good stay for us. We had to double check how to get to the beach to make sure we weren't trespassing and Gregory responded in about 5 minutes with the green light. It's obviously an older home given the area so we weren't expecting brand new construction, and this was a perfect rustic get-away for us; would recommend for anyone looking to get away on a pleasant vacation

Everything was perfect — from the beautiful views to every detail inside, we could not be more happy with our stay! We loved watching the sunset from the fire pit and listening to the wildlife sounds after a fun day in Acadia. Thank you for such an incredible place to stay! We look forward to coming back!

Samantha’s home was even better than the pictures! The location was fantastic. The home was super clean and had a wonderful smell when we entered the home. She and her team were very responsive and provided us with recommendations based on a survey they sent as well as a packet of information at the home. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. My family and I enjoyed it very much! We will definitely be back. Thank you again Samantha and team!

Our family had a great experience. The house was as described and very well stocked. The views were amazing, and instructions were clear for checking in and using all amenities. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we had plenty of towels. Robard provided tons of info about the area and great recommendations. The house had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay… and when we texted Robard on the way back from a lobster shack to ask if there were crackers at the house he said no, but actually ran to the store to buy some and drop them off before we even started eating. He definitely went above and beyond! We loved the proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor and would stay here again.

Lovely stay near a lake. My friends and I rented this place for a weekend trip to Acadia. The house was very clean, well equipped, and looked just like in the photos. The check in and out processes were very clear. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the kayaks because of bad weather but we appreciated having that option. Overall, a great place to stay!

What a beautiful location and house. There’s nothing better than sitting in the living room or front porch and being able to see the Belfast Bay. The house is very clean and neat. Beds are comfortable, shower is very hot. Don’t miss the sunrise in the mornings. Overall this is one of our favorite places we have stayed in Belfast.

Patrick's place was exactly as described. We'll appointed. It was in a private and serene location. Views of the ocean from the deck and windows facing the ocean were spectacular! Patrick was extremely responsive from booking through departure. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone not wanting the hustle and bustle of the Bar Harbor area. Utterly enjoyed our stay💖✨️

Clean, comfortable quiet. Although you are right on the edge of a golf course, not many golfers around. Easy trip into town, took just a few minutes to get groceries at a well stocked supermarket. All very convenient. A decent restaurant right down the road (Kelly’s Landing) and the Dockside Inn and Tavern in town were the only two we tried and they were good. The apartment had a well outfitted kitchen, although we didn’t cook. WiFi pretty good, just a little lag if you are streaming a movie, but great for everything else. All in all, it was great for our 2 night stay.

Beautiful spot on a lovely lake. Fantastic view out the back of the unit of the lake and golf course. Easy access to nearby hiking and nature. Unit was well equipped for whatever time we spent inside (nice kitchen and dining area), but the surroundings were too nice to stay in long!

Great home in a great location. Very spacious and clean and Corey was very responsive. We had 0 problems with there being a restaurant down stairs. Beautiful views of the bay and a near by field where we watched little kittens playing with each other! It was adorable. We slept great and felt right at home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave! Everything about the cabin was well thought out. We loved having a fire and looking at the stars from the dock! Mark and Laurie were fantastic, friendly hosts and made us feel right at home. We would love to come back someday!

This was our second stay here. Stayed last ski season. Although the mountain closed and we couldn’t ski we climbed Big Moose do bring so close was awesome. Although this place is old/dated it had everything we needed. The sleeping arrangements with each of the 4 bedrooms having its own bathroom was awesome. It was VERY clean. Funny it has carpet in the bathrooms but still clean. Great place for our group to hang out, play games, cook great dinners and enjoy a nice relaxing getaway.
