“La Casa di Nonna” yields a postcard-perfect view of the seaside harbor in Catania and Mt. Aetna to the northwest. The rooftop deck was perfect for us to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the boatyard and city. Carmelita offers convenient furnishings throughout the rooms. There is easy access to the entry door from street parking. The apartment was perfect size for two couples traveling through this region.

Very nice, small apartment with a dream view from the balcony over the small harbor. Modern, very tastefully furnished and well equipped (dishes, kitchen utensils, towels, etc.) Nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity. You are in a village environment and yet not too far from the center of Catania. However, it is not so easy to get there by bus, because the one line 534 to the city center only runs very rarely. However, there is a train station "Picanello" 7 minutes' walk away, where a train runs to the main train station (and usually further to the airport) about every half hour. If Mario had told me that before, I could have saved the 50 euros for the taxi... But that's the only thing I have to complain about at this place!
