Monthly Rentals in Nukkumajoki

First update: the kitchen sink is fixed!!! We love the cabin so much, Raili’s description was clear and direct. You have to do a little bit of work to stay there but it’s all easy enough and satisfying to enjoy the fruit of your labor. We had fun making our own fire to heat the sauna and water up. The sauna was really nice and we didn’t really want to leave the cabin at all. The location is fantastic, if you’re looking to catch auroras in March/April look no further, we saw really bright and intense northern lights directly above the cabin on our first night, we would have missed it had we not gone out to pump water! Raili also recommended us to a smoke sauna knowing how much we have enjoyed sauna at Kilopää on our drive back to Kittilä. Great recommendation, great host and great cabin!

The cabin is very nice and cozy, Aino and Anna are very good hosts, they are very responsive and gave us good tips on what to do in the area. One evening we were lucky to watch northern lights from their pier, which was wonderful, while sitting on reindeer skin :) We also went ice fishing with Aino and Anna and rented some skiing equipment which was a good activity to do during our stay :) Aino and Anna also prepared some fish for us which was very nice. The only disadvantage of the place is that the main road is near the cabin so you can see and hear cars driving by from time to time when outside which disrupts the feeling of nature a bit. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this place :)

At the time of writing this, I've been to about 100 different Airbnbs around the world. Jarkko's house is by far the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at. The location is super private. The living room has panoramic windows that showcase the stunning natural beauty. The kitchen has everything you may ever need. And it all comes with fun Moomin details throughout the house. Internet connection is solid considering the remote location (average 40 mbps). Jarkko is the best host I've ever dealt with. He responds super quickly, is open to feedback, and will do everything to make sure you're absolutely loving your stay. Don't hesitate, just book it now.
