Wonderful stay. Perfect place for 3 people and our JR dog. Haltwhistle is great for shopping. It's a perfect setting to walk along Hadrians wall. Stella made sure we were right at home. Everything was thought of. Many thanks would return if in Northumberland again.

Captains Retreat - A caravan with Estuary Views

LyndseyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

Pot-a-Doodle do Wigwam Village - W1

NoreenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had such a lovely stay and it was such a fabulous find. Perfect for kids and/or adults alone. The kitchen and showers were very clean and roomy and the staff were super friendly. Our accommodation was clean and a perfect size and the added extra of the fire pit was a huge hit for toasted marshmallows. We couldn’t have asked for more and will definitely rebook for later in the summer.

Orchard Hideaway, 4* Luxury Lodge, wood hot tub!

EllieRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with our 2yr old and 11 yr old. We all had a fantastic time and felt extremely relaxed. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and lots of little walks to explore from the cabin. On the first evening we arrived we were greeted kindly by Maggie's son who told us about the local area and made us feel at home. The wood burning hot tub was preheated and ready for us to get in (lots of wood provided )The view from the cabin was amazing and within 5 minutes we saw multiple hares and a deer. We then enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub looking at the stars and saw a barn owl from the woods flying over us. The next day we enjoyed playing at the tennis courts provided, enjoyed a local walk to the river and the hosts son introduced us to their "teddy bear" lambs. The next morning we visited a local cafe and play area recommended by the Maggie which was fantastic. Best Airbnb stay we've ever stayed at!

Ben's Hut

MagpieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Ben's Shepherds Hut was cosy, comfy and had everything we needed for our little home from home on our trip. Beautiful setting - you instantly relax. The hut is lovely and had everything we needed. The private hot shower and toilet was fabulous to have. We have stayed in others that don't have this luxury for double the price)! The beds were comfy and our wee girl loved the bunk bed! the two radiators made the place toasty in no time at all - needed them only 1 night when the rain battered and the North winds blew! It felt so safe and cosy in the hut. Andrew and his wife are so lovely - we were even offered fresh rolls and sausage from the clay pigeon shooting day that they had on that we weren't part of! 😊 We will be back very soon! Our wee girl said she wanted her whole summer holidays here and cuddled her bunk bed before she left! 🤣🥰

Foxglove Shepherd's Hut - accessible accommodation

GeorgiaRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Remote and peaceful location but within a drive of many beautiful scenic places. We loved feeding the horses and sitting on the wooden decking eating and drinking. The big double bed is super comfy and the little hut has all the basic necessities. A lovely play to relax and great for doggies. Host was there to greet us and messaged in advance to make sure everything was set up!

Starling’s Rest Tiny Home, Ednam, Scottish Borders

MatthewRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Amelia’s tiny home was so beautiful and well laid out! We loved the private garden and chiminea too. We felt like we were right in Mr. McGregor’s garden with Peter Rabbit. The milk, cereal, biscuits, coffee, champagne, ciders, and tea were such a thoughtful touch as well. We would definitely recommend booking a stay here…especially if you want to enjoy a private outdoor space.

Greymare Lookout

SarahRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Perfection in miniature. The most stunning location to stay amongst nature with total tranquility, peace & privacy, overlooking a private lake with the view beyond of Budle Bay, Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle.Grey Mare Lookout & its sister Outlook are aspected perfectly to sit on the veranda to watch the sun rise or sunset, with amazing stars on a clear night(no light pollution) fire pit a stones throw away, and a super gas bbq for grilling on the veranda. The miniature woodburner was so tiny, yet its 4kw output! Makes it super cosy & really compliments the wood cabin.Wood, logs, kindling & fire lighters all there for your use and ash bin, rubbish bins etc. This is a professional set up & demands the upmost of respect to the host for allowing anyone to stay at their precious & intimate mini 'home from home' The host has clearly tried to think of everything! If you like a break to stay away from the masses, this is for you. If you want a party & to play loud music all night.not for you! 😀

Seaview, Sandy Bay, Northumberland

NatalieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Second stay at this beautiful caravan that once again did not disappoint. Lovely, comfortable, homely caravan in the most peaceful spot on a great site. We can not get enough of the amazing views of the sea, right outside the caravan. Sitting out on the balcony is one of our most favourite things to do here, with also the quick walk to the beach to paddle in the sea and make sandcastles with the children. Our children absolutely loved staying here again withe plenty to do on the site and wonderful surrounding places to visit. Lots of lovely personal touches in the caravan that make it feel very welcoming. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing panoramic view of sea Church Point Caravan

JennieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Another great stay in this lovely caravan. The views are breathtaking. The upgrades done since we last visited just added to an already great stay. The glass balcony meant we could see the beautiful view from inside and out. Visited Lindesfarne and Amble and climbed the rocks on the beach. Had a blast of a week. very comfortable, clean and homely. We'll be back and would highly recommend.

The Loovre Tiny House, as seen on TV!

TillyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had such a lovely stay in the Loovre. The bed was ridiculously comfy, and everything we needed was cleverly stored in the room, so it never felt too small. The location is ideal for the shops in Berwick, and it's about 25min walk to the pier. The host helpfully recommended we keep the door locked, as passers by are so fascinated by the building they might want to have a nosey. This certainly proved to be true, as we could frequently hear people standing outside discussing it!

We had a really lovely holiday, the caravan was sited perfectly to watch the sea. Debbie left a lovely welcome pack which we greatly appreciated. Debbie also let us know about the Dolphins when they were spotted. Newbiggin was a friendly little place with everything you need. Lots of places to see in the area, our first time in Northumberland and will definitely go again.

SallyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Communication was excellent and the place was exactly as described. Easy to find, close to the A1 but no road noise. A great place for a stopover. Chris and Moira had provided everything you could possibly think of, including cereal and toast. We ate out at The Ridley Arms which had really great food, including lots of veggie options. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Deers Leap - what a view! We enjoyed 3 nights in the cozy shepards hut. John and Juliet were super responsive to any questions, the area is pretty and the hut has everything you need. Sainsburys is 1 min drive and would easily be walkable. Bed is comfy. Kitchen fully stocked.
