Captains Retreat - A caravan with Estuary Views

LyndseyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

Pot-a-Doodle do Wigwam Village - W1

NoreenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had such a lovely stay and it was such a fabulous find. Perfect for kids and/or adults alone. The kitchen and showers were very clean and roomy and the staff were super friendly. Our accommodation was clean and a perfect size and the added extra of the fire pit was a huge hit for toasted marshmallows. We couldn’t have asked for more and will definitely rebook for later in the summer.

Orchard Hideaway, 4* Luxury Lodge, wood hot tub!

EllieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with our 2yr old and 11 yr old. We all had a fantastic time and felt extremely relaxed. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and lots of little walks to explore from the cabin. On the first evening we arrived we were greeted kindly by Maggie's son who told us about the local area and made us feel at home. The wood burning hot tub was preheated and ready for us to get in (lots of wood provided )The view from the cabin was amazing and within 5 minutes we saw multiple hares and a deer. We then enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub looking at the stars and saw a barn owl from the woods flying over us. The next day we enjoyed playing at the tennis courts provided, enjoyed a local walk to the river and the hosts son introduced us to their "teddy bear" lambs. The next morning we visited a local cafe and play area recommended by the Maggie which was fantastic. Best Airbnb stay we've ever stayed at!

Ben's Hut

MagpieRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Ben's Shepherds Hut was cosy, comfy and had everything we needed for our little home from home on our trip. Beautiful setting - you instantly relax. The hut is lovely and had everything we needed. The private hot shower and toilet was fabulous to have. We have stayed in others that don't have this luxury for double the price)! The beds were comfy and our wee girl loved the bunk bed! the two radiators made the place toasty in no time at all - needed them only 1 night when the rain battered and the North winds blew! It felt so safe and cosy in the hut. Andrew and his wife are so lovely - we were even offered fresh rolls and sausage from the clay pigeon shooting day that they had on that we weren't part of! 😊 We will be back very soon! Our wee girl said she wanted her whole summer holidays here and cuddled her bunk bed before she left! 🤣🥰

Foxglove Shepherd's Hut - accessible accommodation

GeorgiaRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Remote and peaceful location but within a drive of many beautiful scenic places. We loved feeding the horses and sitting on the wooden decking eating and drinking. The big double bed is super comfy and the little hut has all the basic necessities. A lovely play to relax and great for doggies. Host was there to greet us and messaged in advance to make sure everything was set up!

The Bothy On The River Rede !

TomRating, 5 stars2 days ago
we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. Stunning. Perfect accommodation in the perfect setting. Off-grid but still extremely comfortable. Attention to detail and provision of both information, instructions and all the equipment. The best couple of nights away anywhere. The description captured the place perfectly and from instructions to arrival to departure it was an idyllic and perfect stay.

Seaview, Sandy Bay, Northumberland

NatalieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Second stay at this beautiful caravan that once again did not disappoint. Lovely, comfortable, homely caravan in the most peaceful spot on a great site. We can not get enough of the amazing views of the sea, right outside the caravan. Sitting out on the balcony is one of our most favourite things to do here, with also the quick walk to the beach to paddle in the sea and make sandcastles with the children. Our children absolutely loved staying here again withe plenty to do on the site and wonderful surrounding places to visit. Lots of lovely personal touches in the caravan that make it feel very welcoming. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Woodland cabin with outstanding 180° views

JeesuRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Andy and Lyd were really helpful, especially when we were trying to find the bnb as we had an unfortunate late start to our journey (resulting in us arriving at past 11pm !). Lyd reached out to check whether we had arrived and Andy was very responsive in light of our later check-in. Very flexible and friendly people. My friend's car needed jump-starting and Andy was kind enough to lend us a hand with this, as well as talk motors ! The Cabin was wonderful and every day was a blessing with the nature surrounding it, even if it was windy and raining. It was extremely cosy and more than enough space for us both (we are quite light packers). Thank you so much for the stay and your hospitality (:

Amazing panoramic view of sea Church Point Caravan

JennieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Another great stay in this lovely caravan. The views are breathtaking. The upgrades done since we last visited just added to an already great stay. The glass balcony meant we could see the beautiful view from inside and out. Visited Lindesfarne and Amble and climbed the rocks on the beach. Had a blast of a week. very comfortable, clean and homely. We'll be back and would highly recommend.

The Loovre Tiny House, as seen on TV!

RosieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved staying in The Loovre! It had everything we needed and is in a great location - right by the walls/ramparts, so perfect for an evening stroll or early run! Walking distance to the beach, supermarkets, train station, and also bus stops, so we were able to get buses to Holy Island and Bamburgh.

The Garden Room @3 The Drive

SallyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Communication was excellent and the place was exactly as described. Easy to find, close to the A1 but no road noise. A great place for a stopover. Chris and Moira had provided everything you could possibly think of, including cereal and toast. We ate out at The Ridley Arms which had really great food, including lots of veggie options. We would definitely stay here again.
