Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Northumberland

We only stayed one night as heading through on the way home from Scotland. Staff members were extremely friendly throughout the whole stay and the room was really nicely positioned close to the restaurant, which was a real bonus after a long drive. The breakfast was fantastic and certainly set us up for the day. Our evening meal was excellent too. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Kevin was a welcoming host. Cozy room with hot shower. Great dinner at The Badger in walking distance, thanks to Kevin’s recommendation.

Absolutely georgeous house and room! Home made bread for breakfast by Caroline. She’s a perfect host and gave us all the information about the town, restaurants and things to do. We would highly recommend Caroline and husband for a stay in this lovely area. Thank you so much!

Nice place to stay for a few nights. Beds were comfortable, able to to have coffee and tea in the room. Cafe next door that is cheap and nice for breakfast. Easy to find and parking was very useful!! Would stay again.

Ein wunderschönes stilvolles Haus . Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und die Lage und die Aussicht waren klasse. Fußläufig waren eine Menge Restaurants zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war auch super! Da blieben keine Wünsche offen. Carolin und ihr Mann Stuart waren absolut liebenswerte Gastgeber.

I had a lovely time at Joyce’s home. She was so welcoming and helpful and I felt very comfortable all the time I was there. I was very happy with my comfortable bed, spotless bathroom and private sitting room. And Joyce provided lots of good information and advice for my exploration of Hadrian’s Wall. I really enjoyed staying in Hexham.

Had a lovely stay with Steve & Harriet. Warm, friendly welcome in a lovely homely cottage. Bed was really comfortable, it was peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful. Steve made me a delicious breakfast in the morning too. Also worth noting that as a solo female travelling for work, I felt completely comfortable and safe in Steve’s lovely home, thank you.

Absolutely charming hosts Stephanie & Ned made me feel at home despite last minute change (when my wife couldn’t join me) Their B&B is so lovely and comfortable. It’s quiet and the view from the bedroom window overlooking the village green is enchanting. Breakfast both days was delicious and generous. Can’t wait to have another excuse to stay here again (next time with my wife!)

A brief one night stay in a lovely location, surrounded by fields and hills, a nice little woodland on the doorstep. Great for interesting walks nearby and only half an hour from the coast. Sandra was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great to have a kitchen for guests, able to store things in the fridge and Sandra very kindly shared a meal with me the evening I arrived. The room is bright and spacious, very comfortable bed. Huge bathroom, with bath and separate shower. nice big fluffy towels. I initially went to the wrong location, Sandra had said the sat nav would take me to the wrong place and she was right! But thankfully got there in the end. :)

If you want to get away from everything except nature and cheese, this is the perfect B&B (Jane also serves supper on request).

Jan and Doug are a lovely couple, kind, friendly and welcoming, and Jan was easy to communicate with ahead of our visit. Only two rooms in the b and b, so it has a homely feel. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the bed comfortable. They provide a wide selection of teas and coffees in the room - and biscuits! Breakfasts were tasty, with lovely homemade preserves. A few minutes' walk into Corbridge village which has a range of shops and restaurants to choose from. We would happily stay at Peartree Hose again, and thoroughly recommend it.

Although we only had a very brief stop-over at Janet and Ged's it provided everything we needed and more. Great hosts, a lovely annexe, plenty of home-comforts and a spectacular breakfast which then fuelled us for a full day of gravel riding in Kielder Forest. We'd love to come back and stay for longer next time!

We couldn’t have been made more welcome. Our two dogs were treated like Pat’s own and she even had them both in with her whilst we went out to dinner. Her home is lovely and you truly do get half a house! Bedrooms are beautifully themed and couldn’t be more comfortable. My husband had a full English in the morning and raced about, fresh, hot plate, everything you needed. Proper Yorkshire Tea too! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others. Thank you and it was worth every penny. Oh and the views - well, boon and you’ll see for yourselves!

Julia is very friendly and easy to stay with - I also appreciated the use of the kitchen and other areas of your very tidy home. Very walkable location, close by to the Metro and also some local shops which are handy for food/anything you may need. I will not hesitate to book again if available and highly recommend to anyone needing somewhere to say locally if you are looking for a home away from home!

My two friends and I had a wonderful stay at Sara’s. Sara gave us a special Isaac’s Tea Trail package providing dinner as well as bed and breakfast. The meals were all delicious, and very appreciated as we were on foot and unable to drive to nearby pubs. The house and location is beautiful and we were greeted with tea, warm crumpets and a log fire - perfect after a long wet walk. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Sara is a fantastic warm host and so interesting to talk to. I’d highly recommend staying - you won’t want to leave though.

Great village pub with a shop, great beer and beautifully cooked lamb & duck dishes in the evening. The accommodation was tucked away and felt private and we woke to birdsong and sunshine in the morning.

Our stay at Dominic and Elaine's home was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the kindest and friendliest hosts we’ve ever met. They truly went above and beyond with personal touches that made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed! The house itself is absolutely stunning—every corner beautifully designed and immaculately kept. We were constantly in awe of the space and comfort. But what truly made our stay memorable was the incredible breakfast they prepared. It was not only delicious but felt like it was made with such care and love. If you’re looking for a stay that feels both luxurious and warm, we cannot recommend Dominic and Elaine's place enough. We left feeling like we had made new friends, and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Dominic and Elaine, for an unforgettable experience!

Impossible to fault… - Wonderful, clean rooms with everything you could possibly need (including the comfiest beds!) - Beautiful location - Exceptionally warm and friendly hosts (including Lola the Goldie) - Wonderful breakfast warning for nothing. A super stay.

We had a amazing stay with Annabel and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. She was really nice and friendly and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend her place!
