Boat holiday rentals in North Holland

We loved our stay here. It was central to everything we wanted to see and do, incredibly walkable, lively and comfortable. The space was exactly as it appeared in the photos, and it was a very unique way to experience Amsterdam and everything it has to offer! If we are back in the city we will certainly be booking again!

If you want a true taste of Amsterdam, Jaap’s place is a perfect fit. The historic accommodations right on the canal make you feel like one of the residents. Sitting on the boat and watching the other canal boats go by was a favorite pastime of our stay. Nighttime was gorgeous with the lights on the boat and the city reflecting in the water. Inside, the space was so unique and perfectly accommodated the four of us! Stores to purchase delicious baked goods and groceries were nearby as well as places to sit down and grab some local fare. We loved our stay here and already are talking about how we can come back to Japp’s amazing canal boat! We would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to share in a true taste of this very special city!

Très bon séjour sur ce superbe bateau, nous y avons passés 4 jours à 13 amis. Bateau très propre, super accueil, super bien placé (ferry gratuit pour aller dans le centre) tout en étant au calme. Supermarché à 5 min. Grand salon et cuisine bien équipée. Merci à Grietje et son mari pour leur accueil et recommandations sur les informations pratiques. 😀👍

Heerlijk verblijf met mijn zoontje op De Steert! Goed eten ook in het restaurant van Marianne. De boot is prachtig en knus en van alle gemakken voorzien.

Wir hatten einen gemütlichen Aufenthalten im Winter an Bord. Das Schiff lag sehr schön im alten Hafen mit toller Umgebung. Alles was man braucht ist an Bord. Jurgen und sein Team sind von Herzen Gastgeber. Klare Empfehlung. Nächstes Mal unter Segel 👍🏻

Mit meinen Kindern habe ich 4 Tage bei Harold verbracht. Bereits im Vorfeld war die Kommunikation mit ihm total unkompliziert, aufgeschlossen und nett. Für die Anreise hatte Harold hilfreiche Tipps (Tram 26!), war jederzeit erreichbar und hat sogar angeboten, uns an der Haltestelle abzuholen und den Weg zum Boot zu zeigen. Harold Boot ist kein herkömmliches AirBnB. Es ist ein Zuhause, in dem man sich sofort uneingeschränkt wohl- und willkommen fühlen kann. Man findet alles, was man braucht und hat keinerlei Einschränkungen bzgl des Komforts. Wir waren begeistert. Harold hat uns herzlich empfangen und uns mit Kaffee, einem Obstkorb und Wein willkommen geheißen. Direkt vom Boot aus besteht die Möglichkeit zu baden. Es liegt super zentral, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Fahrradverleih sind in direkter Umgebung. Mit dem Rad ist man in nicht einmal 30 min in der Innenstadt und in der Nähe gibt es noch sehr viel mehr zu entdecken. Danke, Harold, dass du dein Zuhause mit uns geteilt hast.

Magisk båt nära en underbar strand och lätt att ta sig in till Amsterdam!

Im ersten Augenblick waren wir etwas abgeneigt weil das Boot wirklich direkt vor dem Restaurant ,wie auf dem Präsentierteller, liegt aber es war super. Für ein paar entspannte Tage einfach weg ist es perfekt. Wie einkleiner Camping Trip auf dem Wasser. Die Hitze im Boot war erträglich.

Der Aufenthalt auf dem Boot war wirklich top! Marcel war ein sehr kommunikativer Gastgeber und war jederzeit schnell zu erreichen. Die Lage ist ein bisschen abseits des Zentrums von Amsterdam aber mit der Tram oder per Uber gelangt man schnell dorthin. Die Ausstattung lies keine Wünsche offen und daher geht hier eine klare Empfehlung raus!

Fijne host mooie ruimte. Slaapkamertjes zijn natuurlijk wel klein. Bedden zijn goed. Geen vaatwasmachine. Vonden wij niet erg maar goed om te weten. Prachtige ligplaats.

Arjan reageert snel en is aardig. De boot is heerlijk vertoeven. Ik heb heerlijk geslapen. Ik heb hem feedback gegeven ergens op en dat nam hij serieus. Hele fijne plek en zou zomaar kunnen dat ik nog eens terugkom.

We had a wonderful time on Paul's boat. Paul was a great host who communicated early and was always available to answer questions. He also met us on our arrival and gave us a tour of the boat. Everything is lovingly designed, and we loved the special atmosphere and the unique charm of the old sailboat. Basic amenities for everyday life (towels, pans, kitchen seasonings, toilet paper) are provided. Of course, many things are functionally furnished, in keeping with the space—that's just how it is on a boat. I'm 1.86m tall and didn't have any major issues with space other than the upper level being slightly* shorter than me. There's several heaters and a heated blanket for cold days. There's even a bathroom on the boat which was perfectly functional. Since you can't flush paper, we made use of the bathroom facilities in the harbor for some things which was also convenient. We would definitely recommend Paul's boat for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary!

Literally a great host. Rocki and her 2- and 4-legged companions will make sure you'll have an awesome time. Highly recommend!

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad en intens genoten van de boot. Alles was voorzien en de boot is fantastisch uitgerust. We misten wel wat (extra) verduistering op de boot, want zonder gordijnen was het zeer snel licht ‘s ochtends. ;-)

What can I say. Never have been so satisfied with my airbnb stay, like ever. The boat itself is just THE vibe. Very budget place to stay near Amsterdam. Great public transport near the boat that allows to travel to every district. I spent there 2 nights and totally forgot about my life. Total immersion. Aniza is a great person, very straightforward and to the point. The boat "manual", the "do's and don'ts" about this majestic ship were quick and easy to remember. Totally recommend! When I'm back in Amsterdam I'm gonna hit up Aniza right away. Cheers 🥳

This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever booked or stayed at. Gerben and Albert were excellent hosts and were so kind and friendly! The houseboat looked even more extravagant than in the photos which I didn’t think was possible! I would 100% book again and cannot wait to be back in Amsterdam to stay here. Also the location was perfect, within the heart of Amsterdam with so many shops, restaurants, and bars nearby.

This was a fun place to stay. There are 2 transit stops within a 5 minute walk. It was a few minutes walk from the metro station and super easy to find. Koko was responsive and made sure to communicate before check in so it was a breeze.

Sehr außergewöhnliche und schöne Location. Alles was man braucht ist an Board und der Kontakt sowie die Unterstützung vor Ort waren rundum mängellos und nett! Das Schiff liegt sehr schön und trotzdem ist man schnell in der schönen Stadt oder am Bahnhof. Es ist sehr gut für Gruppen oder größere Familien geeignet.

Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno in questo alloggio e ci siamo trovati davvero benissimo. La struttura era pulita, accogliente e dotata di tutto il necessario. La posizione è comoda, tranquilla ma vicina ai principali punti di interesse. Host gentilissimo, disponibile e sempre pronto a darci consigli utili. Un’esperienza che consigliamo assolutamente, ci torneremmo volentieri!

The boat Amalia is unique and well placed for both transport and exploring the wonderful city of Amsterdam. We really enjoyed our unforgettable stay.

Magnifique endroit pour profiter de la ville d’Amsterdam ! Une petite péniche cosy à 15min du centre-ville en Tramway. Pour nous, en tant qu’architecte, le logement nous a rappelé le cabanon de Le Corbusier 😊 Nous recommandons cet endroit et Wineke est une hôtesse en or ! Merci encore pour cet accueil et à bientôt !

Geweldig verblijf gehad! Het schip is van alle gemakken voorzien. Ondanks dat de bedden er krap uitzien, heeft iedereen heerlijk geslapen en was het erg knus. Volgende keer hebben we hopelijk beter weer, dan kunnen we meer van het dek genieten. Dankjewel Xandra en Marco!
