This place is truly magical. Elizabeth went above and beyond for everything! From setting up at home chefs, to answering all my questions, to wonderful recommendations for dinner our last night. The house and property is magical. It’s the first vacation that I truly disconnected, and it was because of the amazing property! If you are thinking of booking this property, do it! I also wanted to just say Sandra and David (property caretakers) were so kind, the dinner they made was wonderful! David even played the guitar for us! I would also recommend Chef Nelson, his food was next level! Thank you Elizabeth- we will be back!

Such a beautiful place! Absolutely loved it. The host was also incredibly kind and responsive to several questions. Thank you! We loved being able to hop in the jacuzzi at the beginning and end of the day and being able to watch beautiful birds with our binoculars right from the comfort of the jacuzzi! Also, the outdoor shower/bathroom was such a cool concept - loved it. Should also note that while open air, it is also fully protected from rain. Thank you so much for a lovely time. Would definitely return!

Hands down the most beautiful place we've visited. Our kids (6 &3) basically lived in the pool/bay for the 10 days we were there. We were the only unit rented out of the 8 houses, so we had the whole pool area to ourselves (and the beach most days too!). Our favorite part had to be the wildlife: howler monkeys in the trees right outside the house, countless scarlet macaws flying overhead, manta rays surfing the waves in the bay, and iguanas galore. Jeannette and Bas were wonderful communicators and so helpful with local recommendations. The setting is so beautiful that we didn't eat out once, just made food in the incredibly well stocked kitchen and ate outside with the view. Some helpful tips: 1) bring sleep masks. The curtains don't block much light and the sun rises at 5:30am making early mornings for kids! 2) It took us 7 hours each way from San Jose (traffic, ferry wait, ferry ride, etc.) so it's a commitment to visit. But oh, so worth it! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We stayed in Jeffrey's apartment and loved the place, the facilities and the equipment of the place, there is a small grill to use, a truly luxurious pool inside the apartment, I really liked the fish tank! A little far from the city but ideal for being surrounded by nature, Jeffrey was very kind and accessible with some of his own requests! Excellent service and we would love to come back soon! We loved it.

Diane’s place far exceeded our expectations. Great location, very tastefully decorated. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was there and available. The setting is amazing, looking out over the jungle and seeing the monkeys off the balcony. The sounds in the morning and evening are amazing. Great pool, grill etc etc. We would come back here in a heart beat.

The view of this house was breathtaking. We enjoyed visiting the town of Tamarindo & seeing the sunset. If you are looking for authentic Costa Rican food make sure to visit the Sodas (what all their small restaurants are called). We enjoyed every single one of them & are very reasonably priced. We visited playa Conchal which was my favorite beach & not far but also did the Leona waterfall hike and zip lining which was so much fun & beautiful. After our activities we were able to come home to our fresh and clean airbnb and dip in the pool then end the night with Netflix or a TV series. We didn’t have the swing which would’ve been a nice photo prop, but that’s alright. We hope to come back again but with our family or friends, we love Costa Rica so much. My husband really bonded with John the security & would enjoy their night talks. We loved how he greeted us with a smile. We will miss him. Gracias amigo y saludos. This place is amazing! Great location right on the beach, beautiful interior space with absolutely stunning ocean view. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was incredible. The pool is a great was to cool off and the deck was a great place to lounge and just enjoy life.

This was a fantastic place to stay never been to Tambor before, but this made my stay even more fantastic. It’s absolutely stunning. Loved it so much. Thank you again.

Amazing stay in Santa Teresa made even better with Sami’s concierge! Emilio (concierge) was INCREDIBLE and the daily cleaning crew. Responded daily to all of my questions and inquiries about the home. Provided great recommendations and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. The house was great, just what we needed. The pool, outdoor areas, kitchen, and bedrooms were all my favorites. Highly recommended!

Everything you expect. Great home, great host. Very clean, nice pool. Excellent communication. Only the surf teacher that was recomended wasn’t that good but that’s not on the host in my opinion.

We stayed 2 nights at the Layla house and we felt right at home, the house is very quiet and private The beds are very comfortable and ideal for all 8 guests The person who takes care of the house is always attentive to open the door at all times We would definitely go back

It was our second stay at Villa St. Barth, and we hope it will not be the last one. We enjoy this privacy oasis very close to the touristy areas of the Tamarindo Coast. The property is secluded; you neither see nor feel any neighbours, yet it is just a few hundred meters away from a very nice fish restaurant. The house is squeaky clean and very comfortable to live in. The property's focal point is a pool suitable for lap swimming. We spend hours in the pool daily, looking for a busy bird life and occasional squirrels or monkeys.

Yonatan’s home and hospitality is the best experience I have ever had on AirBnb—the house is stunning, Yonatan’s communication was beyond excellent. He set up cabs for us, gave amazing restaurant recommendations, had a private link to set up excursions with Local Bird, a great delivery service to get groceries (SippDelivery) and had beer and wine and treats from the AMAZING local bakery waiting for us upon arrival. The beds are soooo comfortable and laundered to perfection by the housekeeper, Deyling, who comes every day. We brought my parents as a gift and it was a gift to us all that we chose Villa Kaleo. The pool is great, the view is gorgeous. We saw white face monkeys, iguanas, heard howler monkeys—all around the house. Highly recommend horseback riding with Oscar as well. GO!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home in Tamarindo! It was perfect for our two families (7 people total, including 3 kids ages 5–8). The house was spacious, well-stocked, and felt very safe and comfortable for both adults and children. The location couldn’t have been better—just steps from the beach and with a fantastic pool that we used every day. The host was outstanding, providing great local recommendations and even helping us arrange airport shuttles and excursions. Everything was seamless from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back!

Edgar is by far the friendliest host we've ever dealt with. He's the very definition of hands on, responsive and helpful. He instantly dealt with any request, and bend over backwards to ensure we had a 5 Star experience at his beautiful beach home. His recommendations for local restaurants, experiences, and destinations were equally as helpful and appreciated. The house is every bit as gorgeous as the pictures, and the indoor/outdoor lifestyle was clearly explained in the description and during follow up messages with Edgar. As long as you fully understand the living space is open to the elements, you'll not be disappointed. Lastly, when my family was returning from a day trip to Monteverde Cloud Forest, we got caught up in a major road closure. It was a multi-hour delay that was a bit stressful given the very young children in our family group. Edgar spent much of his personal time attempting to help us find an alternative route home. Can't say enough about our wonderful stay!

Stunningly beautiful place, and the pool is perfect for escaping the heat. The villa is great, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Mills La Maria is beautiful. Clean and inviting. Roberto was a great host. He was very accommodating and helpful. We actually got there too early for check-in but he helped us get to a local (and beautiful) restaurant to wait while the room was being prepared. Great access to the beach and walkable to several restaurants and supermarket. We had a great stay…complete with wonderful sights [and sounds] of Costa Rica.

Absolutely stunning!! The location is amazing - beautiful landscaping with just a few minute walk to an amazing beach! In a smaller quiet, neighborhood but with a few great restaurants and shops within walking distance. The villa is really comfortable and beautiful, open/outdoor concept, with a beautiful pool and private outdoor space. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, with a lot of great recommendations, and going above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. Highly recommend this place!! Hope to return soon!

Most the time when we see pictures of gorgeous Airbnbs encompassed by scenic lush jungle, we think it’s to good to be true or they know how to edit photos very well. This is not the case with this one! What you see is what you get and no way do the pictures do it justice. Fantastic jungle location tucked just a few yards from the beach in a prestige part of Costa Rica. Rent a car and travel to tambor beach for a fishing excursion or make the quick drive over to Santa Teresa for surfing and ATV riding. This local is nestled away in the perfect location between both of these beautiful spots. Enjoy the ocean breeze with a cup of coffee in the morning and fall asleep to the peaceful sounds of waves crashing. This Airbnb is incredible and I’ll definitely be back soon!

Ramona is the most outstanding host I have ever encountered while using Airbnb. This trip was to celebrate a birthday and our stay was nothing short of perfect. Ramona was so responsive and checked in on us via chat throughout the stay to ensure we had a very smooth stay. Her home is just breathtaking and her assistance with getting my itinerary together which included a private chef, transportation, and excursions in such a short timeframe, I was speechless!! I cannot stop telling my friends about my experience and am already planning a trip back in 2026! Thank you so much for the unforgettable experience Ramona!

The best place I've been in Santa Teresa. Loved the peace and view.

First and foremost, the view was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch or reading from the small pool with the scenery of this villa. Everything was exactly as described and was very clean. Cristina, the co-host, was responsive to all our messages/questions/concerns and was even able to provide room service. There were also horses out and about in the pastures behind the villa! The only downside to this place was the location. The roads are unpaved and hard to navigate, especially in the rain or dark. The location is pretty remote and far from any big towns, so be prepared to drive, even for groceries. The listing mentioned that you would need a 4x4, so be sure you have one, you’ll definitely need it. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say! Overall, this place was great and we loved it. The hosts were very friendly and their property was extremely welcoming!
