We ( family with 2 children , 6 & 3 years old) felt very comfortable on the Fidelito Ranche. The kids enjoyed playing in the garden, feeding and showering the dogs, as well as the great horseback riding trip with Leon. We really appreciated the quiet location, but were also able to get to the larger cities quickly.

Hummingbird Villa is a perfect oasis on the outskirts of La Fortuna. I had the impression that we might be sharing the pool with other properties, but the entire facility is private. It's a stunning location with beautiful landscaping and plenty of outdoor space. Even when it was raining there was plenty of room at the large table under the generous patio roof to stay dry for our whole family. In the mornings we enjoyed birdwatching along the the quiet road. We would absolutely stay here again. Many thanks to Jason for being a kind and considerate host.

If you are like me, always looking for views and sunsets don’t think twice! This comfortable little mountain home has by far the best views we have found so far in Monteverde. We usually head out at sunset time looking for a good spot but this stay we spent every evening watching the spectacular and ever changing panorama from our own front porch. Super comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Would like to add Waze will get you to the lower gate (search Casa del sol, Unnamed road). Just continue on the unpaved road and you will get there! Village is called Altos de Cebadilla.

We absolutely loved this place. It is well maintained and has everything you need. It feels like home. The woodwork in the house is so beautiful. The property is gorgeous and has trails to explore. Carolina and Manuel arranged to get some specially requested food for our stay. They had the food there for our arrival which was so helpful. Manuel took us on an awesome night hike. Carolina’s husband also gave us a tour of the property too. Carolina and her family really go out of their way to make this a welcoming place. They grow amazing coffee on the property which we really enjoyed. They also shared their garden veggies and the bananas. We stayed 4 days and wished we had stayed longer. We found it easy to go into Monteverde for activities like coffee tours, cloud forest, animal sanctuary el Tigre waterfall, etc. There are some great restaurants close by the house and of course in monteverde too. We enjoyed ordering homemade empanadas from cafe Horizonte for breakfast.

Amazing!! Great location in a beautiful place. Stunning stay. It was so amazing to hear the sounds of the jungle while being in the villa. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Few ants located inside. Would 1000% recommend staying here!

An absolutely perfect way to experience the magic of the Costa Rican rain forest! Very lovely little cabin with all the basic needs for a great stay. We sat on the patio by the refreshing pool & watched a Toucan fly by & land in a tree. There are many lovely sounding birds all around & they gently awake you every morning. So many native plants and flowers surrounding the place. The two hammocks are so relaxing to swing in. Host was very responsive, within 15 minutes. Be sure to check out the Chico‘s restaurant which is just 800 m of the road. Cocktails and delicious food while you are surrounded by the rainforest.

We stayed at David's place as a couple. It is a very private grounds with two separate houses. A car should definitely be available. The view through the glass facade or even from the balcony to the volcano is fascinating. The balcony is very inviting to enjoy a cool drink or make yoga - great backdrop! There are also restaurants in the area, where I would recommend driving to La Fortuna (about 20-30m in travel time). The communication with David was impeccable, quick and friendly. Possible activities for active people in an environment of about 60 km: Hanging Bridges, Cavernas de Venado, Rio Celeste, Mirador El Silencio.

We loved our stay in Monteverde! Beth & Manolo’s place is so cozy we felt relaxed and at home. The view from the porch is incredible. Beth was super helpful in helping us with directions proactively to find the house safely (as the drive from La Fortuna is an adventure). Zaida greeted us with warm banana bread (as Beth was traveling). Manolo was a great host. We enjoyed a tour through the magical cloud forest with him as well as a night walk through a local reserve. He helped us spot three resplendent quetzal as well as a mom & baby sloth (amongst numerous other treasures). Book this Airbnb if you want to feel comfortable, safe, & enjoy Monteverde!

Casita was modern & immaculate with a lovely pool & beautiful surroundings. Its a minimum 20 mins drive from anywhere but if you don't mind that then you'll love your stay.

This place was absolutely perfect for what we needed for our family of 4. Our boys are teenagers and were fine sleeping in the room separate from the house. Everything was as expected and communication was great. Views were gorgeous as described. One of our most favorite stays in Costa Rica.

My partner and I had an amazing stay for our first trip to Costa Rica! The place was beautiful and serene, looked exactly as in photos, and quite convenient to a lot of attractions. Irene was also a responsive and very helpful host. We really enjoyed our stay!!

We really enjoyed our time in Monteverde. The location is exactly as pictured. The view of the mountains is incredible! And it is a very peaceful location, but only 15 minutes into town. Yamileth was helpful and met us when we arrived to ensure we knew which drive and how to locate the parking. I would recommend this location to anyone considering the Monteverde area.

I work remote and took my work to the mountains. I stayed at this hotel for a whole month. The mountains are beautiful and amazing to wake up to every morning. The sunrises and star gazing on this mountain was phenomenal. The fruitful trees that the monkeys have to climb daily was so inspiring to watch how God provides to all species. The sounds of the birds singing in the jungle was a great experience for my morning coffee. And last but not least the amazing staff here! I am blessed to have found this wonderful place to stay for a month! The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. Staff responded timely and very helpful. Great WiFi connectivity, electricity worked well, plenty of hot water. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or a taxi that provides it. Beaches are nearby and the culture was great to visit and explore. I see why this area specifically is the blue zone. Pura vida lives in this mountain top. Definitely recommend. Can’t wait to visit again. Glamping!!

We’ve stayed at some cool places over the years, but Casa Del Mono is one of my all-time favorites. It’s a perfect little getaway for anyone who wants to be close to nature but with all the comforts of home. It’s a very private property sitting way up the side of a mountain with a beautiful courtyard and hiking trails right out the front door. You simply cannot beat the view, and waking up to a chorus of birds like toucans, oropendolas, and tanagers was incredible (bring your binoculars)! The house itself is beautiful and well-equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bed is comfortable, and the shower/tub are gorgeous. It was everything we were hoping for in a Costa Rican stay, and I hope we get to visit again soon!

First and foremost, the view was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch or reading from the small pool with the scenery of this villa. Everything was exactly as described and was very clean. Cristina, the co-host, was responsive to all our messages/questions/concerns and was even able to provide room service. There were also horses out and about in the pastures behind the villa! The only downside to this place was the location. The roads are unpaved and hard to navigate, especially in the rain or dark. The location is pretty remote and far from any big towns, so be prepared to drive, even for groceries. The listing mentioned that you would need a 4x4, so be sure you have one, you’ll definitely need it. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say! Overall, this place was great and we loved it. The hosts were very friendly and their property was extremely welcoming!

Pura vida at its max. Pure relaxation, comfort, safety. Zeidy’s food absolute perfection, the kids kept saying it wasn’t even real, calling it dream food. Pool is bigger than what the pictures show, beach wonderful, restaurant down the road a neat little touch for a dinner. We got horses and massages right at the house. The team is fantastic and Jose was wonderful to line it all up. Our private driver that Jose arranged was just wonderful and accommodating to any needs. We would give 10 stars if we could, just like other reviews. Stay here. Or don’t, which will clear up more space in the calendar for us to come back :) :)

Amazing place to stay with friends or family and close to La Fortuna downtown and the El Salto rope swing. Great backyard with grill and pool that is covered from the rain.

We had an amazing stay here! The location was easy to find and not too far from the airport. There were definitely lots of local stores and restaurants to visit near by. We recommend Resturante Ross! The views especially early morning were amazing overall we have no complaints. Our favorite part was visiting the farm animals! Oscar was so nice and welcoming.

This is a mountain top oasis. We loved the view of the Arenal volcano from the infinity pool. The place was the perfect size for our two families. There was plenty of room for everyone. Mario was very attentive to our needs. We even got the opportunity to milk a cow and visit the farm. If you visit La Fortuna, you should consider staying here, you are close to town but still in the country.

This was a beautiful place to stay at! If you love to be at a cottage during the summer, this place is definitely for you. The host and his family were super sweet individuals, and always provided great tips when we encountered them. For families with kids, this place would be amazing as it is spacious, has a mini pool and a playground.

Our family came for the first time to Costa Rica and we are super thankful for the hospitality that Mauricio and his family had towards us. Every afternoon his mother came by and drop us some hand made bread. Her dad was always super friendly with our kids and provide us with the opportunity to feed the animals and shared some fresh eggs. Hospitality from this host has been nothing but exceptional!! Hope to see you again !

I can’t say enough great things about our stay here! Adi was incredible- he was there to help us check in and give us a tour and was extremely responsive to any questions we had throughout the stay. He set up transfers to and from the airport for us and ATV rentals that were there when we arrived at the house. The house was perfect for my 30th birthday celebration with friends! Close to the beach and a quick ATV ride to Santa Teresa to enjoy all the restaurants and bars. Loved that it was a little removed from the busy-ness of Santa Teresa- very peaceful and serene. The pool was beautiful and the entire property was just incredible. I can’t wait to come back and stay again! Highly highly recommend booking here!

We have stayed at Casa Isabelita multiple times. It is always so peaceful. We hope to stay again.
