Holiday rentals with beach access in Newcastle upon Tyne

The apartment was perfect in size and location for the things we wanted to see in and around South Shields. The coastline is beautiful, walk to Marsden Grotto along the coast took about 1 1/2 hrs with amazing birdlife (bus back) Foot ferry over to North Shields, bus and Metro ticket good, St Mary’s Lighthouse a must , check tide times. Tyne Mouth a special place with Priory and spectacular views .Roman Fort next to the Apartment a hidden gem and free. Sadly some of South Shields needs a Spruce up like so many places on our Coastline. Elaine is a lovely host.

This is a great Airbnb, very nicely decorated and well looked after. The shower is super powerful and warm. The bedroom is huge and the bed super comfy. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come again if we are surfing in South Shields.

Had a lovely weeks stay. The flat was lovely and homely, very well equipped, extremely comfortable bed and very clean. Good recommendations from Host of places to visit which was useful. Brilliant to have off road parking and be able to walk into Tynemouth. Will most certainly be back. Thank you

Absolutely amazing place to stay , clean , tidy and lovely decor. Everything is well thought out and everything you need is in there :) Great host lovely guy and will definitely be staying again :) The patio area and garden just top it off over looking the sea . Fab views peaceful but not far away from things . A lovely park within a 3 min walk with a lake and waterfalls . Really really recommend. Great for private parking . Very impressed start to finish :)

What an amazing stay we’ve had. The most beautiful location with everything you need on your doorstep for the whole family. You can litterally park your car and leave it and and be kept entertained all in the same area on foot. The beach is a short walk away as is so many other walks, pubs, park, shops and library. Our family had the best holiday and we want to return soon. The hosts were very responsive and left us some yummy treats and essentials which was a lovely touch. What a fabulous place! We had a wonderful stay with our 2 children - they loved the Pirate room, jam packed full of books, toys and dress up! There is a park 5 min walk away and another about 15 mins walk away, which was perfect to keep the kids entertained very easily. Parking was available right outside and the beach was a stones throw away. The place was lovely with nice little touches and all the amenities we could need. Thank you again! Highly recommend.

Leslie’s house was ideal for our stay in the NE. The house is in a residential area which is very quiet but you can be straight out to the beach / cliffs or onto the Sluice river towpath within a minute. Absolutely perfect for dog owners and the Kings Arms pub which can be seen from the house is excellent. Lovely walks along the coast to Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, Blyth etc. We would also highly recommend the Castaway coffee house which is also a stones throw from the house. We visited to pick our son up from university in Newcastle so it was really convenient for that too, just half an hour away.

The tiny mansion was small but perfectly designed, with everything we needed, the decor is lovely and the bed really comfy with a great en suite. It’s in a great location right next to the beach, would stay again if I’m in the area, thanks very much.

My husband and I were visiting my son, daughter in law and their 5 month old baby who live in Heaton. My niece was with us from Canada so we wanted somewhere comfortable, with plenty to do and easy access to our son’s home. This property was the first one I looked at. It exceeded our expectations, we loved the location, parking pass provided for the weekend. Views from rooms front and back are spectacular. We especially liked walking into Tynemouth, such a lovely place with lots of cafes, restaurants and coffee shops plus independent shops which is always nice to see. As I stated before we all enjoyed the indoor market. We had a lovely weekend.

Enjoyed the use of the property, it was near the beach and funfair, loads of restaurants at the end of the road and was in a quiet cul de sac. We enjoyed walking the short distance to the town centre and also to the ferry. Great location for all ages.

We enjoyed our stay at Mandy’s place. It was a short walk to restaurants/pubs/the coast. There was also a little convenience store less than five minutes from the flat (Spar). If we return to South Shields, we will definitely try to book here again.

We booked this apartment at very short notice following a change in our plans. The hosts responded very quickly to make the property available for us and even allowed us flexibility with our check in. The Old Bakery exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our short break holiday being close to Cullercoats and Tynemouth centre and a great stretch of beach. Next time we are looking to stay in the area we will definitely be booking this again.

Thank you Lynn for a wonderful 4 days at your apartment. Bringing my mum and dad back to Sunderland after years away has been made so much nicer by having a perfect place to say. Communication has been excellent since the day I booked to the day you met us when we arrived. Seeing my parents smiles when we walked in told me I had made the right choice, you were so welcoming and the views from the living room are amazing, everything was fantastic and your advice on where to go for the football was perfect 👌🏻 Communication has been excellent and it was so good to meet you on our arrival, hopefully we will return in the near future as there are still many places to return to for more reminiscing.
