Holiday rentals with beach access in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea

The apartment was perfect in size and location for the things we wanted to see in and around South Shields. The coastline is beautiful, walk to Marsden Grotto along the coast took about 1 1/2 hrs with amazing birdlife (bus back) Foot ferry over to North Shields, bus and Metro ticket good, St Mary’s Lighthouse a must , check tide times. Tyne Mouth a special place with Priory and spectacular views .Roman Fort next to the Apartment a hidden gem and free. Sadly some of South Shields needs a Spruce up like so many places on our Coastline. Elaine is a lovely host.

A lovely place to stay. The flat is beautifully decorated throughout. We loved staying there. It was calming and relaxing and the bed was extremely comfortable, excellent mattress. The whole place was very thoughtfully equipped with everything you may need for your stay. A stone's throw from the seaftont with lovely shops and restaurants nearby. And the metro station a short walk away can take you anywhere in the area. We would love to stay again. Highly recommended.

Comfortable and spacious, and ideally placed near the sea and for public transport (Metro almost on the doorstep!). A very enjoyable stay.

I had a lovely break in this beautiful studio apartment. It was immaculate and tasteful and right in the centre of the village, just opposite a bus stop. I did not use the car at all while I was there. Lara and her husband were very friendly and kind. I enjoyed the views to the garden and my dog and hers got on well! Warkworth is lovely but very busy and parking is a bit of an issue, but it has great walks and you can make expeditions up the coast on the bus. Thanks Lara Ill be back! Cheers Christine

A lovely, spacious apartment with lovely bees across to Warkworth castle. Apartment was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. It’s in a great location for walking into Amble and exploring the southern part of Northumberland.

What a lovely location the little village is amazing the unit so fitting to the location. If only we had our golf clubs to play on the oldest golf course in England. Recommend yes

A little gem of a cottage Very cleverly designed It was in a great location so near to all the amenities in Amble We did a road trip up to Alnwick and Seahorses. Over the sand dunes, in Amble, are amazing quiet beaches where you can sit read and look out to Coquet Island. The cottage had a lovely feeling to it and I loved the roll topped bath A definite place to return to .Amble has lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. We tried a few and loved them all Thanks for having us 😁

The Sail loft was a great place to stay. Very clean and well appointed. The two bedrooms very comfortable. The shower was hot and there was plenty of water. We visited with a dog. Although there is no garden there are several dog walks within a couple of minutes. There were plenty of places to exercise the dog morning and evening. A welcome basket with ground coffee, biscuits and a bottle of wine was much appreciated. There was a Tesco express across the road and we were able to park easily on the side street. Kerry communicated clearly and suggested a wide variety of places to visit in the area. Amble is a very pleasant base with a selection of excellent places to visit. It is clean and friendly. It had an interesting sculpture trail and a craft market. We will recommend it to family and friends and hope to visit again to do all the things we didn’t have time for before leaving. Thank you we had a great time.

We stayed here for 5 nights - Rosemary was the ideal host - super helpful before we arrived and always available for any questions you have. The property is excellently located in the centre of cullercoats and only a 2 min walk to the metro station. The property has lots of Character and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Thank you Rosemary for a wonderful stay!

This place was an absolute gem! we loved the location and the house was just amazing. The garden was stunning. Joan was really helpful and friendly! I would definitely like to stay there again.

Great house, all you needed for a self catering stay. I think it could do with a bit of TLC it's a bit tiered looking, But that having been said it's still a lovely house and clean. good location easy walk to the harbour and local pubs. fantastic Sunday lunch at the Harbour Inn. Good atmosphere. All in all a very enjoyable stay. Would recommend and would return.

Fantastic stay at Ian’s place in Amble, amazing location for everything in Northumberland as well as plenty of nice cafes and restaurants in Amble. Super property for couple or families as well we’re with lots of games and children’s books as well as all the amenities you could need for a long or short stay. Would happily stay here again if we were holidaying in the north east of England again.

Great stay in this lovely house. Everything was as described. Fantastic location with plenty of bars and eateries on the doorstep. We walked into Warkworth following a beautiful country bridleway and returned after 8 miles and relaxed in the wonderful hot tub. Leo enjoyed himself on the beach too. We stayed here whilst we attended our friends wedding in Seaham. It was perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed great breakfasts at cafes along the high street (10 min walk away). Very easy.

Fab home from home. Clean, inviting and homely with all needs taken care of. Clear instructions for accessing all the essential amenities such as WiFi and heating. Nothing is lacking. Would recommend and / or use again. Thank you!

Abi’s place was in a great location overlooking the sea. The house was immaculate with high quality fixtures and fittings. It was very spacious and ideal for our family of 4 with one baby

Enjoyed the use of the property, it was near the beach and funfair, loads of restaurants at the end of the road and was in a quiet cul de sac. We enjoyed walking the short distance to the town centre and also to the ferry. Great location for all ages.

Fab stay at Diane's place. Lovely apartment equipped with everything you could need for a holiday. Loved the location which is peaceful and close to the beach and nature, yet also a great base for exploring.

We booked this apartment at very short notice following a change in our plans. The hosts responded very quickly to make the property available for us and even allowed us flexibility with our check in. The Old Bakery exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our short break holiday being close to Cullercoats and Tynemouth centre and a great stretch of beach. Next time we are looking to stay in the area we will definitely be booking this again.

Stayed a couple of night and wished we could have stayed longer. Bob was really helpful and the place was beautiful and clean. We will be coming back

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Kathryn’s place. She was super helpful and proactive in making sure we had a great stay - and even let us check in early due to an earlier arrival time than planned! The place itself was the perfect size for our stay and was cleaned to a professional standard. It was really clear that there has been a lot of care and detail put into the property!
