Such an amazing host! The space is so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. In the common space, there is a traditional Japanese garden that is stunning. They use a lot of incense too, making it so calming. You also get a traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning! You get your own room/bed, with shared bathroom. We went in the summer and thank God, there was AC in our bedroom. There's also so many family-owned restaurants in the area. We ate at so many hidden gems. All in all, incredibly worth it.

The room we stayed in was upstairs, with a total of three windows, very spacious and bright, and the view from each window was different, but all were beautiful.It's quiet at night, and at 3 or 4 in the morning, the insects and birds start to sing, just like when I was a kid at home.The host will pick you up and drop you off at the subway station or nearby attractions, like the Golden Pavilion Temple.Breakfast was especially delicious. I had insomnia the first night, so I didn't let the host prepare my portion to sleep a little longer. I only ate on the day of check-out, which was a pity!Next time I have a chance to go to Kyoto, I will want to stay again.

I am a Chinese tourist, the house owner and her son welcomed us warmly, they can communicate simply in Chinese, so it will be convenient if Chinese tourists come here.It is about 10 minutes away from the nearest subway station, which makes it really not particularly convenient to come and go, but it is nice to have a quaint decoration of the house, comfortable to sleep, clean and tidy, if you want to experience Kyoto traditional B&B, this house is highly recommended.

Even though it was only for one night, the experience was still a very good one stay.Ichiro was really very welcoming and would ask about my itinerary and recommend places to go and restaurants and he was very happy to chat.I think this night will be memorable.It was very reassuring to stay because everyone followed the rules.Would like to come back again.
