A great spot in Osaka! I was only here for one night but the space would be great for someone staying long term. Host lives/works in the building so he can help with luggage if you get in early or have any issues. Stocked kitchen and large fridge and amenities! Great value!

I don’t leave many reviews because most places are average but this was by far the best Airbnb my family has ever stayed at. Noriko and her son met us in person, showed us all around the apartment and how things worked and were very responsive throughout our stay. Noriko must be a professional interior designer. Everything about her apartment was perfect and quintessential Japanese design and style. There’s lots of space and can easily accommodate 6 (we only had 4). Noriko even gave us a welcome gift and a nice Japanese print we intend to frame at home If I was ever to move to Kyoto and wanted to buy and apartment I’d buy this one!

The space was a little small but provided a comfortable stay for us. Peaceful and clean accommodations and clear instructions from the host. Bonus for the bathroom dryer fan…definitely use this to dry your clothes vs using the machine. Thank you for hosting us!

We stayed in Naoyuki's property for 4 days and loved the stay. The room with 4 futons was amazing and very traditional with Japanese decors. The proximity to the bus stop and tram/train station was extremely convenient in terms of transportation. The stay was as warm and cozy as Kyoto.

Chie & Chris's place is located in a tiny, very quiet alley in the heart of Gion. There are several temples & shrines located within walking distance, & we found incredible restaurants nearby. They gave us clear instructions on what to tell the cab driver to get there, & self check-in was easy. The accomodations were pristinely clean. The master bedroom with a large Western style bed is upstairs, & the steps are steep which was no issue for us at all but might be for elderly, injured, or handicapped folks. My 6'5" husband had to be careful to duck under door frames because of his height but staying in a historic machiya was worth the small effort. Our 14-year-old son slept on a futon on the main level & loved it. Communication was excellent, & they gave us numerous recommendations for restaurants. There is a Lawson konbini & a grocery store close by, as well as a quaint bar across the alley. We loved being within walking distance of the action coupled with the quietness of the night.

Reminded me of the first house I lived in in Japan: tatami floors, wooden fixtures, sliding doors... I felt like I was visiting a friend's grandmother's house! Must have been the smell of the wood. Spacious enough for a travel group to have private space as well as communal space. It's a bit of a hike from the train station but still walkable. Quaint, quiet residential neighborhood. Incredible value. Would definitely stay again.

The quietly prepared homestay is absolutely amazing Though you won't see each other, the message contact and response were proactive and don't make you feel nonsense. The whole space is nestled. It is also very Japanese traditional accommodation atmosphere! Especially the bathroom facilities, very new and clean. Lake Biwa is not far from the back of the house, which is really beautiful, and there is also a Mini shop to buy and eat nearby. In summary, if you like a quiet and clean room, Jingru Glass is a good choice for your stay!

Pro - Its a very good place. The kitchen cutlery is complete. The scenery is amazing. Clean and wifi is good. Definitely come again! Cons - bathroom only 1. So takes a lot of time. The view is great but the location is far from town. Need to travel 40mins just to reach town. So waste time there.

Our host Ichiashi responded to messages instantly, which always made us feel safe, and was always open to questions. The house was like a dream, you feel like you are in a Japanese house. The bicycles waiting for you in front of the house are perfect for experiencing the spirit of Kyoto. The host has even prepared a map for you for places to visit in Kyoto. Peace flows in through the windows overlooking the backyard of the house. Everything from iron to plate, from coffee to shampoo, even bath salt for the bathtub has been thought of inside the house. This place is exactly as all the other five-star reviews describe. The host is considerate, kind, and responsive. The space is quiet yet close to several major stations. The instruction manuals for the indoor equipment are clear and thorough. I can see how much care the host has put into ensuring our comfort through all the thoughtful details. We’ll definitely book here again if we visit Osaka in the future!

Lovely clean place right in the heart of Osakas Dottonburi district, close to everything and right near the station so it was just perfect. Great communication and easy to find, would totally recommend. Thank you Sakura 😊

All in all good!The kitchen is fully equipped, there are basic living items, and the homestay owner is also very friendly, helping to carry your luggage upstairs!But there are a few places I think it can be mentioned, first of all, the equipment to regulate the water temperature in the bathroom is more complicated, didn't understand at first, it took more than 15 minutes to turn to the heating water (go to the cold water first, then move the hot water slowly, there is warm water).The second is that although it is only 4 minutes from the nearest MTR station access, the entrance with the lift is 8 minutes away and is slightly inconvenient.

Greay location. Located just a block from Dontobori and a train station. Very clean and just like the photos. Host was very responsive and directions were very clear for check in.

Number 6 was a great place to stay in Kyoto! Excellent location near public transit and blocks from Nijo Castle, shopping streets and safe and quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable. Recommended!
