The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

This is a really unique traditional house with a peaceful and beautiful setting. The kitchen is small and shared with other guests. The house has three sections - the owner's private area, rooms without gardens, and rooms with gardens. So it's best to check with the host which section you'll be staying in before booking. We stayed in a garden room where we could step outside - really lovely surroundings. The house sits on a hillside, quite close to Nanzen-ji Temple. For downtown, you can catch a taxi (wait time 10-20 mins) or walk 10 minutes downhill to the subway station. It was a wonderful stay - we'd love to come back in autumn!
