We had a fantastic time here. This is a beautifully restored and carefully furnished traditional Cretan home that is every bit as good as the photos. It is beautifully quiet and restful, and a short walk to the local tavernas in the evening where you join the locals for wonderful local food. This is a real "get away from it all place" that makes unwinding easy, yet is an easy drive to and from the airport and Chania. We've been to this part of Crete before, but had some great recommendations from Vicky our host to enable us to discover things we had not seen before. We'd definitely come back here again.

What a lovely host that goes out of their way for their guests! Best host I've ever stayed with! We enjoyed some of the nicest views at Vasilis's place! The accommodation has absolutely everything you need, you can tell the host has put a lot of care and effort into it! The pool was lovely (we went in June), clean and warm and we met some cute frogs by it in the evening. The bed was very comfortable, the tap water drinkable and there was plenty of space for us to sit outside and enjoy the fresh evening air. Would recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay in Aptera. The location was perfect; close to Chania and an easy drive to other locations in western Crete but still rural, quiet, and private. There's an incredible view of the mountains right out of the front door. Mihalis was really friendly and gave us many local recommendations. We highly recommend a stay here!
