Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mount Vernon

My friends and I have made stopping at the Penthouse an annual kick-off to our summer on our way to Sandusky. Rob is incredibly kind and friendly and even happened to see us bringing in our luggage and offered to help carry them up. Wooster is such a charming little town with lots to do (cute shops, lots of great restaurants/coffeeshops, etc) and the space made us feel right at home, so much so that on our first visit we decided to come back over and over.

A great place to just relax and enjoy being away from everything. Stores are 5-10 min away just in case you need something. Cabin was very clean. Only had to message Barb 1 time and she got back within minutes. Would be a great place to take your small family or spend the weekend with a couple of friends. We will return.

We loved our stay here! Ingrid and Mike were incredible and communicated proactively to make the stay that much easier t enjoy with more time relaxing and less time asking questions. The location is perfect to walk to campus as well as to multiple venues which makes it ideal. We would definitely stay here again!

This cabin is absolutely gorgeous, the perfect getaway for a small family and easily entertaining for kids. At no fault of the owners, I wouldn't recommend for kids under 3, just because there isn't much independently for them to do and bodies of water very close by. But for older kids or a couple, this was the perfect, quiet, beautiful place for a break from the business that normally surrounds us. And if you go, look at the stars in the night. You'll likely have never seen them like this before. Would recommend over and over again. Thanks for sharing with us and letting us make memories here!

This place is amazing! Our family enjoys staying at Airbnb's and this is our absolute favorite! The log cabin home is amazing in itself, and the surroundings are so private and peaceful, but the hosts are top notch! They created the most fun scavenger hunt for my small kids, that my adult children enjoyed just as much! We had a blast here. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic spot! PERFECT if you are with a couple of friends or looking for a convenient place so you can bounce around downtown Wooster!

Beautiful place and view! The breakfasts were amazing and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while visiting family in the area. My wife and daughter loved all the horses and animals we could watch from the porch. Sorry about the noise from our rambunctious almost 5 year old. We tried to keep her as quiet as we could. Martha was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your beautiful place!

Lynn was immediately available for our arrival and gave a thoughtful tour of the place. The kitchen was well stocked with food for breakfast and delicious coffee and treats. Her farm was out of the way and very peaceful. I will be back to stay again soon!

Bang for your buck! This is the 2nd time I've stayed at this cabin in the past month. Rustic cabin off the beaten path. The stars at night were insane! Much needed escape from the city!

The house was located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. We loved the covered patio and backyard space - we sat outside every morning and evening. Melanie sent us a message day of check-in and said we could arrive several hours early.

The home and location were both very nice. The home was as described and very comfortable. The location was nice to walk around, enjoyed experiencing a few different restaurants for meals, and checked out shops in the area.

This was a great place to stay especially if you are attending something at the Convention Center. It was just a 15 minute walk through Goodale Park to get to the Center. The house is cozy and in a good neighbor hood. Parking is free, and Jeff is a great host. I would happily stay here again by myself or with my wife.

Sophia's Sunny Place is located in a beautiful, safe, and quiet neighborhood. The home itself is quite spacious and comfortable. We appreciated having a kitchen with every kitchen item needed including an ice-cream scoop to scoop up Jeni's Ice Cream purchased at the Giant Eagle grocery store. This is a place you can call a home away from home.

Our stay at The Lodge on the Hill in Sugarcreek was amazing. It is a wonderful place for family/friends to spend quality time with one another. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at The Lodge-it never disappoints. The amenities are plentiful, the view beautiful and the host is readily available. The Lodge on the Hill is highly recommended.

Cabin was beautiful as promised, loved that we didn’t have a full set of check out cleaning rules, very clean and had everything my family and I needed for our stay!

The place was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the smell of the new mulch that was put down, but that can't be helped. I appreciate the cleanliness and the communication.

Great little town. Lots of shops to see. Jeff’s cabin was cozy and quiet. All the recommendations he gave us were great. Will definitely stay again

Everything was perfect, no complaints the hot tub was really nice to relax and the staff on the campgrounds were super friendly.
