We truly enjoyed our stay at Ian’s property. Everything was beautifully decorated, and the cozy touches made it feel just like home. Lighting up the fireplace was such a lovely experience, especially on the chilly nights. The host went above and beyond by welcoming us with wine, cheese, and chocolates—such a thoughtful gesture! The heated blankets were a great touch too, keeping us warm and comfy throughout our stay. Ian has also been very responsive with our queries.

Ruth and Peter are just delightful hosts, they think of everything. Thoughtful touches such as underfloor heating in bathroom and bedroom. Lighting the open fire before your arrival, having plenty of wood available only metres away. Lovely interiors which are not over done and have been created with love and care. Books to read and games to play. A kitchen which has everything tucked away. We stayed in the Sheppards hut and the temperature was -2 we have never been more cosy and warm. Opening the drapes in the morning nice and warm and then seeing the frozen fields made it difficult for us to leave this little nest. We had a beautiful stay at Raffah house. As soon as we drove into the driveway, we were greeted with a stunning yard, and as we open the door the house smelt divine, and the fire was burning. The house was styled to perfection, with so many thoughtful touches. We quickly made a complimentary gin and made our way to the backyard to make the most of golden hour outside under the twisted willow tree with a cheese platter. We parked our car and didn’t need it the whole weekend. Cafes, antique stores and the distillery all at your doorstep. The beds were so cosy and the house was warm, one of my fave Airbnb stays to date. Thank you!
