Beautiful. We watched the deer every morning while we sat on the deck and had coffee. Close to Deadwood. Very clean and quite. Great place to stay!

Moonlight spines was fantastic! The space was beautiful and the location was excellent. The home was private and peaceful yet located close enough to town so getting everything you need was a breeze. Would highly recommended!

Spacious, nicely decorated cabin. Comfy beds and linens. Private, surrounded by nature, yet very close to town. Loved having our morning coffee on the large deck watching the deer and bunnies. Would definitely stay again!

It was a quiet location and big enough, also. Everything was clean and in working order. Due to the weather, the TV reception was not always available, but that was not the fault of the hostess. We had a great time!

Our stay was amazing, it was the perfect mountain getaway from the city we live in! The cabin is located in a very quiet and secluded mountain community. We got to see lots of wildlife and we even a had a snowy day. Our stay was very peaceful and centrally located for our Black Hills adventure. We would definitely like to stay there again!

We had a great stay. Host reached out ahead of time to make sure we had all the info we needed, and was very quick to call us when we needed something during our stay to make sure it was sorted out. If you’re looking for a remote, beautiful place to have a genuine Black Hills stay, this is a great spot. Great views, super cool cabin with lots of privacy. Very close to Keystone and pretty central to hiking and landmarks.

The cabin was beautiful, as well as the surroundings! It was easy to find and was near so many ATV trails. There was ample parking and we were able to fit two pickups with trailers and there was still extra space! The interior of the cabin was beautiful and the kitchen was amazing. The cabin came with everything you may need and was very clean. Angela was so kind and very responsive. We enjoyed our stay greatly!

We loved our stay in the stargazer cabin! It was such a beautiful property, clean, and peaceful. Mackenzie’s recommendations for activities and restaurants were great! The heated mattress pad was perfect for our September stay! We would definitely stay here again 😊

My mom and I recently stayed at Holy Smokes in South Dakota, and it was absolutely wonderful! The place was clean, quiet, and peaceful — just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. One moment that really stood out was when I realized I forgot my corkscrew, and the sweet lady at the front desk didn’t hesitate to help me open my bottles of wine. It’s those little acts of kindness that make a stay memorable! The property was also perfect for our dog — lots of space and a safe, comfortable environment. You can tell the people who run Holy Smokes truly care about their guests and take pride in maintaining such a lovely space. It felt like a home away from home, and my mom and I are already talking about coming back. I’d highly recommend Holy Smokes to anyone traveling through South Dakota, especially if you’re looking for a quiet, pet-friendly place with great hospitality. You won’t be disappointed!

Thomas was very friendly and the cabin was an amazing space. We really appreciated having the little fireplace in the cabin since we’re from a much warmer climate and had trouble adapting to the cold weather. A convenient place to stay to see all the local attractions. Would highly recommend.

This was by far our best experience in an Airbnb ever! John and Vickie were the most gracious hosts and we left at the end of our stay with our hearts full of memories from sightseeing the National and State Parks close by as well as knowing that we had made two new friends for life. Absolutely a Five Star experience!!

Perfect, quiet getaway spot! Far enough away from town to see wildlife in the pastures but just a short drive to see local attractions. Clint gave easy to follow directions. My kids absolutely love seeing deer out the window and giving the horse scratches. Clint even brought them some feed down and let them feed him! The kids were sad to leave and already are asking when we can go back!

If you like country living, this is an ideal place. It has a lot of things to see and do within a realities short distance. The views are spectacular. The cabin fulfilled our needs. We were sad to leave, but you gotta go home sometime. 😊 It is a beautiful place and the host(s) were very friendly and personable.
