The Art Church is a great place to stay. It’s such a unique and comfortable space. We felt right at home as soon as we checked in. We walked to restaurants and bars. Really enjoyed the access to the upstairs as well. Comfortable beds, plenty of linens and other supplies. The host is very nice and always responsive.

This was our 3rd time at Taylor’s place, but our 1st time in the upstairs unit. We loved it as much as the lower unit. Beautifully decorated and furnished with anything you could possibly need - Tupperware! Kids dishes! Sound machines! It was a great stay for our family of 4 with two kids. Would recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Southwest Iowa.

I loved my stay at the Malvern Depot! I walked on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail from Council Bluffs to Malvern that day and was expecting a simple and boring small town. I was surprisingly mistaken! Malvern is a great town. The depot is an awesome place to stay along the way; clean, comfortable, and cute. It is a short walk from 2-3 places to eat, Casey's, a grocery store, the art church, and local festivities. These things are usually unheard of in a town with about 1000 people. I had a great walleye dinner at the cafe. Then, the town was hosting a STEM event for the children, which included a band and a ballet performance by the Des Moines Ballet. I can't believe I had such great luck. Then the next day, I walked to Ike's Place in Shenandoah. I asked Cheryl if she knew anyone who I could pay to pick me up and take me back to my vehicle in Council Bluffs, and she offered. So, I met Cheryl and her sister, Marsheila, and had a fun ride back. This place was beautiful. It was bigger than I expected it to be. It was extremely easy to find and get into. The place was extremely clean and even had instructions for using the WiFi. The bathroom and kitchen were clean. Next time I visit Villisca or the surrounding area, I will definitely book with her again!
