Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Monteverde

This place was absolutely perfect for what we needed for our family of 4. Our boys are teenagers and were fine sleeping in the room separate from the house. Everything was as expected and communication was great. Views were gorgeous as described. One of our most favorite stays in Costa Rica.

Close to many attractions. Walkable to town but very dark and hilly, but with adult children this was very doable. Town was cute w many souvenir shops, coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants. House very comfortable and spacious.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Having Curi Cancha right next door was amazing. Beautiful landscape and a wonderful home that felt cozy and warm.

My dad and I loved staying at Laura’s place. Private, peaceful (but still close to town) and with a beautiful view. Quite a few butterflies on the trail to and around the house. The cleaning service was well timed, and it was great to come back to a clean house halfway through our stay. Would stay here again, just make sure to rent an AWD SUV since the trail is through the forest of Monteverde.

The self check-in with the key box was very convenient, and communication with the hosts was always friendly and quick. We can highly recommend Carbell House and would love to come back anytime. We absolutely fell in LOVE with the charming town of Monteverde and Jarvey and Flors place was the perfect location to rest our tired bodies!!!!! We loved the adventurous road leading to the house and the quiet peace and tranquility that awaited us! We arrived to find a basket of goodies including fresh pineapple and banana, chips, cold water, fresh local bread, cheese, and jam, and champagne! Jarvey was so kind and responsive and checked in on us personally a couple of times! We exchanged a lovely hug upon departure and I'll be forever grateful for their kindness and hospitality! The house itself is immaculate and cozy and the hot tub and patio couldn't be any more peaceful and beautiful! The views were amazing and the birds and flowers and bumblebees were the perfect addition to the serenity. The wifi may be a bit spotty, but we actually enjoyed that part! We cozied up in fluffy blankets on the couch and totally enjoyed our stay! Thanks again Jarvey and Flor!!!!!

What a gem above the clouds of Monteverde! Tobi and his family have created an amazing place to getaway and enjoy the mountains. There was so much wildlife and the accommodations were super comfortable and quiet. Tobi’s family’s restaurant is “Stella’s” (just down the mountain) and it is awesome as well. Tobi had excellent recommendations and connections. He is super helpful and friendly. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Next time…!

We enjoyed our time at Johanna’s place. She was super communicative and she was able to provide a same day laundry service and home made dinner which was delicious!

El alojamiento de Andrea es estupendo. Fácil de llegar, con buena seguridad, y con todos los elementos necesarios para pasar una excelente estadía. Una nota aparte para Andrea. Fue una host realmente excelente. Siempre un paso adelante. Seguramente, la mejor host desde que usamos Airbnb. Absolutamente recomendable. Muchísimas gracias y espero que podamos volver.

What we loved the most was the view, it was so cool seeing all the greenery from the window. Especially in the evening sunset was so nice, we t to sleep with curtains opens because so pitch black and what a beautiful view to wake up to. Adrian’s instructions for check in were so clear and he was very helpful with questions. The space felt very private and was peaceful. The space was surrounded by many food options and things to do. Super close drive to Monteverde Cloud Forest. I will say the drive up, the road leading to the space was a little rough, but that’s out of his control as it’s a gravel/rocky public road, but easy to drive.

Yesenia und ihr Sohn sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft herzlich von ihrem Sohn empfangen und haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt. Die Unterkunft entsprach genau den Fotos und der Beschreibung – alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt war alles Nötige vorhanden. Die Lage ist zwar etwas außerhalb des Zentrums, dafür aber angenehm ruhig. Mit dem eigenen Auto war alles gut erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The balcony is the true highlight—perfect for watching wildlife. We spotted 54 bird species on the property, including the charismatic Three-wattled Bellbird, watched a troop of nine monkeys, and even saw a compost-diving coati—all from the comfort of the balcony. The hosts were fantastic at communicating, and the lodging was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. All the amenities and equipment worked perfectly, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals for a week. There’s also a small grocery and bakery conveniently located across the street. The location is excellent—within a 10-minute walk you’ll find Curi Cancha Reserve, Bajo del Tigre, the Monteverde Waterfall, and the Crandall Reserve, which is accessible directly from the property. There is some occasional road noise from motorcycles and milk trucks, but the incredible wildlife and comfort more than make up for it. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a front-row seat

This is a pleasant and comfortable place to stay. The location feels very secure and is convenient to several restaurants, a bakery that offers breakfast, beautiful hiking trails and permaculture garden at Valle Escondido, and the Monteverde Stones showroom as well as some art shops. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and utensils for food preparation. The bed was comfortable and had a nice view outside to banana trees. The front porch area was pleasant for sitting outside under a roof and I saw motmots and parrots fly past. I appreciated that the couch also flattens into a futon, which made the living room a pleasant option to stretch out. Check in and out was very simple and easy with good directions. The only negatives were a bit of noise from upstairs neighbors and the property behind the unit (a generator). If you're visiting in the rainy season it's also a good idea to put all groceries in the fridge as ants can get into open food containers.

Es un condominio muy bonito y se ajusta a una familia de 5 a 6 personas muy bien equipado y todo funcional. Las camas muy cómodas y cada cuarto con su baño. Sin duda volveremos en cualquier momento. Muchas gracias por su hospitalidad.

Wenn man das Auto im gesicherten Innenhof verlässt, wird man gleich von dem beeindruckenden Pool empfangen. Weiter geht es durch den sehr schönen Garten zur Unterkunft. Hier verschlägt es einem die Sprache: unglaublich schönes Apartment. Liebevoll eingerichtet und zugleich funktional. Sehr gepflegt, sehr sauber, Betten und Badezimmer hervorragend. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet, es wurde an viele Sachen gedacht, die man gar nicht erwartet. Die Kommunikation hat die ganze Zeit einwandfrei und unkompliziert funktioniert. Es gab sogar eine PDF, mit klaren Beschreibungen. Selten so eine schöne Unterkunft gesehen, wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

We had a wonderful stay at Sol y Luna in La Fortuna. The accommodations are charming just as pictured and we were happy to have this little oasis to come back to every night. We were contacted by Susana to have a new stove installed one morning, unfortunately the timing didn't work for us. The hosts respected our privacy and I presume the stove was installed after we checked out. Thank you for sharing a little piece of paradise with us.

Chambre avec un balcon donnant une vue sur les montagnes et la péninsule de Nivoya au loin, à couper le souffle! Le balcon et la chambre sont spacieux et bien entretenus! les lits sont confortables! La salle commune, bien équipée est accueillante et une atmosphère harmonieuse et spirituelle est présente! Piscine et bain chaud hauts de gamme et bien entretenus! À monteverde, le bain chaud à servi, contre tout attente un soir à 15degré Celcius!

The place was very private and safe, all accommodations as described. Very close to the city center. If I had to nitpick, the mattress was extremely hard as well as the pillows. Everything else was amazing, Cristian is very responsive and proactive.
