Cottage holiday rentals in Monterey Bay

We had an absolute gorgeous stay. The location was close to fabulous cafes - Linda's Seabreeze and Harbor Cafe were our faves - and just minutes from the beach. There is also a lagoon nearby for birdwatching. I was worried the spot would be tight with four people but there was plenty of room to stretch out. The yard had patio sets for reading outside in the sun. And the hot tub was immaculately clean, plenty hot, and a wonderful way to end each day there. Would absolutely return the next time I'm in Santa Cruz.

A recent stay at Robert’s home in Ben Lomond was exceptional. The property felt like home from the pictures on the wall to the books in the bookcase. The fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and toiletries was like walking into our personal family vacation home with everything clean and organized. Upon our arrival, we contacted the owner to let them know we arrived. We enjoyed a welcoming orientation of the property. The location was ideal with convenient access to stores and restaurants. We could not have selected a better place to enjoy quality family time and celebrate a graduation from UC Santa Cruz. This was a super stay and gets our highest recommendation.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We walked to the beach to boogie board, went to the boardwalk and enjoyed the local farmer’s market. The house was amazing and more than we expected. We enjoyed the backyard with all of its amenities including the hot tub and outdoor shower especially after coming back from a day at the beach. Shari was very proactive in her communications and we are looking forward to coming back again for a longer visit.

Annie was a great host and the place was exactly as described and just what we needed for a relaxing beach getaway. We loved the hot tub in the backyard and the beach cottage feel of the place. Thank you for hosting us!

A magical sanctuary! We loved every minute of our stay and the only negative part was that we had to leave. The location is epic- walk anywhere, restaurants, beach, UCSC, downtown, coffee shops. The hot tub is totally private and the place has a very homey feel. The lot is beautiful. Would stay here again.

This cottage was the perfect getaway for a long weekend with friends and a small dog. The bathroom was super clean, and we enjoyed hanging out in the front yard and being able to walk to the beach and shops, etc. Gabriel was super responsive, helpful and friendly! Will definitely be returning.

This was the perfect little place for our family of 4! The house had everything we needed and had beautiful surroundings. Our daughters loved the porch swing out front. We saw hummingbirds right outside the kitchen window where the feeder was hanging. We cooked all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. The organic coffee was very appreciated! Wish the queen bed mattress was a little firmer (was lumpy & soft- not great for those with bad backs) but overall very happy with our stay!

Thank you Tamara for sharing your lovely home. We had a great time in the area and your house was the perfect place to return to after a long day at the beach or hiking in the local redwoods. The beds were comfortable with plenty of linens and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed barbecuing for dinner while enjoying the great view from the backyard deck. We would definitely recommend your house and the area to others!

Wow where to even begin! We stayed here for my son’s birthday/ Mother’s Day. This place was beyond what I expected, my family LOVED the little cottage and the gorgeous views of the ranch. We also enjoyed that we were able to really walk around outside and see the animals, my son especially enjoyed Russel the cat greeting us. The sound of the frogs at night was actually quite pleasant as well… The location was truly amazing, tucked up away from the busy city, surrounded by stunning vineyards. The house was clean, welcoming, & cozy. Check in was really easy, and communication was quick and friendly. It felt nice knowing their caretaker Samantha was on the property. Cheryl greeted us the morning we were leaving, I’m glad we got to meet her! She was very cool & very sweet. 🥰 Barlocker’s is definitely a one of a kind GEM 💎 We are still reminiscing 💗 In hopes to come back again 🤞🏽

We absolutely fell in love with this area and this little cottage is the perfect catalyst that started it all. Location is perfect and walkable to all that we wanted to do. My husband and I felt right at home and had an amazing time. Would love to stay here again!

Place is just as described, if you like being out in the country more rugged and alone this place is for you, just be aware the bedroom has curtains but the rest of home does not at night this might scare somebody but I was fine

Had a little difficulty entering communicated with the host, he was very helpful and made it very easy and accessible moving forward! Over all, it was very quiet out the way space exactly what we were looking for!

Cozy Corralitos has a garden filled with a wide variety of plants. The lemon and other citrus trees had an abundance of fruit. Many different birds were on site. The house was clean and comfortable with a well provisioned kitchen . Melissa was gracious and quick to reply when I had a question. The neighborhood is very quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cottage. Thea and Stefano are great hosts. Very friendly and welcoming, prompt responses to any questions we had and always went the extra mile to make our stay special. The cottage had everything we needed and was super comfortable. We will definitely be back. It was a 5 star stay!

Andrew’s cottage was private and very clean, the bed was very comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet, despite the industrial area surrounding it, and we loved sweet Elena’s coffee shop/bakery just around the corner.
