Cabin holiday rentals in Monterey Bay

Beautiful, tranquil redwood oasis just 25 minutes from Santa Cruz. Everything about this space was intentional from the softest linens and jacuzzi, to the gorgeous setting! Highly recommend.

We loved the woodsy backdrop and ease of the property, gated in and out, and parking. Would stay there again!!

Hands down the best Airbnb we've visited. Very secluded and gorgeous property. The property is special and well-appointed. We loved the private beach. A great getaway from the hustle and bustle. Emkay was extremely friendly and helpful. They worked very hard to make this area a great stop on the journey. The unit was small and cozy, but it had everything we needed. We'll be back again.

Had such a great time staying in the Jazmine cabin. It is quite small, but expected. There are so many things to explore and see within walking distance and food is a 5 to 10 minute drive into town (I fell in love with the small town of Soquel). Emkay and Lara were amazing hosts, it's a bonus they live on the property. Which by the way is so zen and beautiful. I can't say enough about the "beach" area, it is so peaceful. Emkay and his family were so lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. We took our 2 little dogs and they had a blast exploring the property. I will be back. We loved our stay!! Beautiful property, everything about it is so wonderful. The kitchen is fully stacked, there’s plenty of space, the hot tub was very relaxing. We were having trouble with the AC in the room with the television. But we also didn’t reach out to the number that was available, so maybe try that if you are having problems. Everything else was so amazing, we definitely recommend staying here!

Great place for a relaxing stay

Very nice place, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Host was very nice, quick to respond and took care of everything we needed. Very beautiful area surrounded by redwoods and very private. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at Brookes home was great! The space was incredibly clean and comfortable. We felt very comfortable and safe. I wish I could have stayed longer, but the space was beautiful outside even after the storm. We had a small hiccup trying to get the lock to work, but Brooke was super fast with her response & helped us get in quickly. 10/10 would stay again!

Staying at this cabin nestled in the heart of a redwood grove in the Santa Cruz mountains was truly magical. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this wasn't just a place to stay — it was a carefully curated experience. The host has thought of everything to make guests feel at home and beyond comfortable. The attention to detail was incredible: high-quality toiletries, a well-stocked pantry with essentials (and then some!), soft, luxurious bedding, and even thoughtfully placed candles that added a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Every touch felt intentional and generous. What truly set this stay apart, though, was the host. Incredibly accommodating, kind, and flexible — they went out of their way to ensure every one of our needs was met with care and promptness. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to hospitality. Waking up surrounded by towering redwoods, with birdsong filtering through the trees, was unforgettable.

The home was amazing, and the surrounding areas of trees and wildlife was amazing as well. We listened to the birds in the forest and the last morning got to see five dears drinking at the stream. It was breathtaking.

We had a great stay at this cozy cabin in the Redwoods. What a beautiful location, of course the pictures do not do it justice. Literally nestled in the center of towering redwoods. The kids loved the swingset, art room, game room and of course exploring the yard for banana slugs. The cabin was much bigger than we expected, we definitely plan on returning in the future. Really enjoyed our stay!

The property is very beautiful and located in a peaceful neighborhood. We had a great time with our family.

The Cabin was incredible! Breathtaking views and fully stocked game room for kids and those young at heart. The bedrooms had good quality beds and linen. The bathroom was clean and modern with a large quantity of towels. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to cook delicious meals. Ernesto was proactive in communicating and alerted us when we accidentally turned off the timed lights outside. Our family of 12 had memorable moments in The Cabin during our stay in the Fall, and we recommend it to anyone wanting to have the ‘cabin in the woods’ experience.

Robin’s Nest was such a beautiful getaway! Settled in the peaceful redwood forest above Santa Cruz (I rode my bike into town, which was fun!), it was a great place to escape the bustle, but close enough to enjoy some of the city’s amenities, food and culture. The bed was comfortable, kitchen was stocked, and the front deck/yard was such a lovely place for breakfast and morning coffee. I definitely plan on coming back when I need another escape!

Such unique Airbnb experience! It was lovely to stay in the redwoods- so quiet and peaceful. The host ensured that I read the manual before booking and I’d encourage the same to avoid surprises- steep walk to the house, no internet in there, and limited amenities, but all this was described in several locations. It was chilly, but the house is well equipped with space heaters and blankets. Sofanya was as responsive and friendly and checked on us a couple times when we crossed paths on the property to make sure we had what we needed, but gave us plenty of privacy.

This place is beautiful! I plan to come back. Also, I slept like a baby. I really like how I could hear water running from the nearby river.

The Santa Cruz A-frame was such a serene retreat into the mountains for us, and an antidote to our overly digital and urban lives. Things we appreciated: easy parking, both an upstairs and downstairs bathroom, full kitchen supplies, private balcony, gorgeous forest views, creek in the back, and easy access to Loch Lomond (peddle boating on the lake was so peaceful), the redwood state park (hiking in the largely shaded trail was great on an otherwise sunny day), and local groceries and food (enjoyed the cute outdoor patio in the back of The Grove cafe and bakery). We had a wonderful rest!

Absolutely perfect in every way. What a blessing to be able to spend a few days at Sunny’s oasis. Very peaceful and secluded, tons of privacy. The house is big, plenty of room to move around. Everything was spotless. Definitely 10/10!!!
