Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Monteagle

Aaron and Jessica were fantastic hosts all the way around. The property is fabulous, the furniture is comfortable, the front porch is nice to sit on and the fire pit area is beautiful. Aaron gave us a few good ideas for extended hikes, which some of our family members did and thoroughly enjoyed. We did some hiking and swimming. An absolute must is checking out the coffee shop Highway 56 in Altamont.

Had an awesome stay - views were awesome and the area was peaceful. It was close to great hiking spots and The Caverns, making for a fun-filled and relaxing weekend with family.

Gary’s place was beyond perfect. The peaceful setting was exactly what my husband and I needed for a quick getaway. The house had everything you could need and more. Gary has thought of everything. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will definitely book again.

This is a lovely, peaceful place. Our group was two adult couples. We had a couple of birders and they were excited about the visit. We all enjoyed being close to Sewanee, local restaurants, and Mooney's Emporium.

My wife and our two dogs only spent a short time here, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Our dogs loved running around the fenced in property, and we loved the space. It was a perfect stay for a single night like we needed, but I could imagine that staying a week there would be just as enjoyable with the privacy and scenery we had. Thank you again!

Steve's place deserves at least a 6 out of 5 star rating. Although we felt like we knew what we would find due to good pictures in the listing, this spot exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect! Walkable to outdoor activities, yet quiet and peaceful area. The rental was super clean and so eclectic in style. Steve rightfully is called a "superhost". Attention to detail is visible from the chapstick and toothbrushes in the bathroom (in case you forgot yours) to the water bottles and ice in the fridge. The host was very responsive and extremely easy to communicate with. We would love to come back for a longer stay and explore some more.

Lookout Mountain Birdhouse is a new property, so everything is shiny and clean. While just off the road, it's very private. It's ~30 minutes to Chattanooga proper, but that worked OK for us. Lacy is a true gem of a host and great to work with. She promptly answered any questions we had and stayed in touch. The good and the bad: the tall, west-facing windows make for a bright house and a beautiful view, but the windows in the living area have no shades, which can render that area almost unusable in the late afternoon on a clear day. That said, we would definitely stay there again. We particularly enjoyed the Sunset Rock via Craven's House Trail, and the Montague Sculpture Garden in Chattanooga. The tour of Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery was fun, too.

We had a short girl’s trip to Chattanooga for two of us and Dan’s place was absolutely perfect for us. We walked everywhere, down to Frazier Ave. for food and shopping, and across the Veteran’s Bridge to visit the River Bluffs Arts District, and down to the aquarium. We highly recommend this spot, and all the thoughtful touches were so appreciated. And the bed is insanely comfortable!

Our stay was a wonderful experience. They were terrific hosts and the place was perfect for our family! Peaceful and beautiful view.

Chris and Mel's place was fantastic~clean, great layout, comfortable and so many nice touches, from the basket of local treats to the record player and selection of records~they thought of everything! We enjoyed the lovely space in the morning before venturing out and after our days of exploring Chatt and Nashville. Highly recommend!

A very peaceful place to stay! Very close to things I enjoy doing - hiking, learning about the area. The guest house was very clean and I felt at home with the comfortable furniture and bed. The four-leggeds, Ginger and Belle, came to visit every day which was treat for me. I highly recommend this guest house and Tammy and Jo as hosts.

Greg’s place was very clean and never had to worry about parking. He was a great host and made sure you had no questions about getting into the home. Space felt private and was quiet. Within walking distance to coffee, food, drinks, etc.

Perfect place to stay for a “home away from home”! This apartment was excellent for an extended stay (over a month) during an outage I worked at the TVA’s Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. Having a nice clean washer and dryer in the apartment was convenient. The kitchen was well appointed with pots, pans, dishes and silverware. I worked nightshift, and the neighborhood was safe, peaceful and quiet, making it easy to sleep during the day. 5-star in every way! Fantastic hosts - thank you David and Joanna for such a great Airbnb experience!

My husband and I came up to Chattanooga to spend time with my daughter and son-in-law as well as to see a comedians show. The Airbnb was in lovely surroundings and very peaceful. It felt like we were out in the peaceful woods even though we were minutes away from downtown, the arena where Nate Bargatze performed and multiple restaurants. It is one bedroom and not incredibly spacious but has beautiful outdoor space and is perfect for a private retreat or a quiet getaway. Bonnie was friendly and easily accessible.

This is a fantastic out of the way place but still within walking distance of restaurants and shops .. it is right next to lookout mountain and RubyFalls.. our hosts were responsive and friendly. They also put local restaurant menus and sights to see in a binder which was a nice touch. Plenty of towels blankets etc… my only tiny complaint was there were no house numbers on the outside to differentiate the different units . We had to look at the booking to gauge which one was ours. I don’t know if that’s a property issue that they won’t allow it or what.. They are fantastic hosts and I highly recommend them if you’re ever In the area.

Gary's place was excellent! It was just what we needed after wedding activities at Gardens of the Gorge. This place is very quiet at night and a great place to unwind. The view from the balcony is so nice and was a welcomed sight each morning. Thank you again!

I was in town for the Ironman event and this was the perfect space location for me and my family to stay for the weekend. 15 min walk from the central downtown area with lots of restaurants and things to do, as well as the transition area and athlete village for the race. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if we come back.

The place was very nice and clean , great walkable, safe location. The apartment was very private and cozy ! 10 out of 10 !

It was my first time in Chattanooga and this was the perfect place to stay! We visited for a few days during the week and Katie’s place was absolutely perfect for our needs. Clean, wonderful bathroom and kitchen, great location that was just down the road from a beautiful coffee shop and walkable to so many things. Her thorough instructions and house guidebook / manual were greatly appreciated. The space itself is clean, beautiful, cozy and modern. We felt right at home. I would absolutely recommend Katie’s space, thanks for everything!

We absolutely loved our stay! Perfect for a weekend getaway. We were within 20 minutes max from different attractions. I think some of the reviews mentioned noise from the traffic but that did not bother us at all! Yes, you can hear it but it wasn’t too loud that we couldn’t sleep. Would definitely recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was close to everything we wanted to do and a short 10-15 minute drive to the caves, aquarium and other attractions in the area. Davey was very quick to respond to any questions we had.
