Roberta was very helpful and attentive in describing the route and the area for parking, right in front of the house. The apartment is in a hamlet a few kilometers from the village where there are convenient shops, and it is cool inside, which is important in this period because, especially in the afternoon, it was really hot outside. The heat also prevented us from taking full advantage of the garden, which in cooler climates would be really enjoyable as it is shaded and equipped. In the hamlet of Calcinaia, our cell phones had no signal, so the home wifi, which worked well, was particularly useful. We were also very happy with the timely and accurate information that the hosts provided us with about the bike routes in the area, also because we had not received answers from the Park Authority, which in the previous days had had problems related to the work on the line.

We were already in Serena's accommodation in 2023. It was very nice again. The location is very quiet, located in the middle of the forest. On the terrace, you have a beautiful view of this. Everything is available in the apartment: pellets for the stove (if necessary), kitchen utensils, salt, sugar, etc. Serena and Paolo are very friendly and accommodating. We were here with our little dog. The accommodation is accessed via a gravel path. So, a car is a must. There is a small stream nearby, where you can swim (even if the water is cold). There are very good restaurants in the area with delicious Tuscan food. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alessandro's lovely house. Alessandro was very welcoming and helpful. He also responded to our requests and queries promptly. He has lovingly restored the whole space, we thought the design was excellent and looks better than the photographs. We found the bed comfortable and the shower worked well. We used the the outside terrace at the back which we discovered to be a real suntrap. We also enjoyed the lovely wood fire. The village has a couple of good bars, a restaurant, baker, grocer, and butcher. We enjoyed some of the lovely walks from the door of the house that explore the ancient cheshnut forests in the locality with beautiful views. We also loved visiting the local waterfall which was breathtaking. We travelled by public transport which seems to work well. There are regular buses to the village from the rail station that connects with Florence. We really hope to return soon. Thank you Alessandro.

A beautiful experience, in contact with nature, the house has everything you need, exceptional cleanliness. In the fridge, I found a beer, bottles of water, and milk, and in the pantry, there were also snacks for breakfast. Benedetta was very kind, she sent me all the directions, she checked that the Internet worked, which I needed for work. I'd love to come back. Thanks for everything!
