Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mohawk Valley

We had an awesome time at Landon’s property. The kids loved interacting with and feeding the farm animals, specially the horses and sheep. The caboose was a pleasantly unique experience with great views, mood lighting, and comfortable beds. Girls loved going up and down the sturdy ladder to the loft bed in the cabin. The cabin is very thoughtfully appointed, with hot water supply and made our stay very comfortable despite the overcast weather. Our girls are looking forward to be back again soon to spend more time with the farm animals. Landon was always quick to respond and house info / instructions were succinct.

Our family was there for a baseball tournament. The home is 15 minutes away, easy to get to. Grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream (recommend Jerry’s on the way to Cooperstown) and tackle and bait store are all close by. The rooms are very comfortable, I worked from the loft on top floor, the kitchen well equipped and the lake right outside. The kids had the opportunity to kayak and paddle board and to fish from the dock. Rodney was very responsive and super helpful to ensure we were comfortable and answered questions quickly. The view on the lake is fantastic and peaceful.

What a beautiful home! This gem in Mohawk is a must stay - Dean’s home was spotless when we arrived for the weekend. So much space for us to enjoy inside the house and a great outdoor space with a very clean pool! The weather didn’t cooperate with us to enjoy the pool but the water was crystal clear. The people around were town were extremely friendly - a local police officer pulled over to show our kids his patrol car and let them see how the sirens work. Dean’s home is a must stay for you and your family!

I’m so happy that we found this farmhouse in the country. Conveniently located with a beautiful setting . We were even given fresh farm eggs. I wish we were able to do more hiking, but the weather was not in our favor. Best of all we could bring our fur baby with us . If I was coming up to this area again, I would be more than happy to stay there again. The House was extremely clean. It’s a farmhouse so yes, I had to get rid of a few wasps but that’s expected.

Great place to stay. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. My only note, and this is nothing against the host, but the neighborhood was not really quiet. Some really loud kids yelling, screaming, ect around. Not a big deal really for us, but if you need some quiet during the day its something to note.

We have been looking forward to our stay at this cabin for weeks. We needed to unplug and we got just that. It was a rainy weekend but that made the area more magical. The house is so beautiful , loved the nice art sprinkled all over the house including a lovely picture of the waterfalls behind the property which can be heard from the house! everything was clean and very homie! and we got a ton of suggestions for things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again! 10/10

Perfect stay for a couple of families attending commencement at Hamilton College. Very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and other amenities. Scott was very responsive before and during our stay. Quiet neighborhood, and only 10 mins to great restaurants in downtown Utica.

Everything is just as pictured - and so much more once you check in! The end of the season did not disappoint - the waters were calm in the morning for a canoe paddle; the loons visited and were a joy to listen to; the weather was perfect for a campfire and the views were spectacular. The house is stocked with high-end amenities, everything you'd want to find and a few that you didn't even know you needed! Looking forward to returning next summer!

We loved how quiet and peaceful the location was. We also loved the homey touches- the local books, the honor store out back, the fact that there was the cafe under the apartment. The setting was beautiful and we loved falling asleep to the sound of the brook and the spring peepers!

Great place to stay convenient to Hamilton.

Perfect for a work weekend. We were out working during the day. We came back to the property in the evening we dropped the car and walked into the village. There were a few shops and restaurants that were great. Easy to get to. Quiet. Clean. Lots around the area to explore. Lots of parking. Would stay there again for sure.

This was the perfect place for our family's one night stay. Everything was clean and just as described, close to the Baseball Hall of Fame and the downtown area. We arrived for check in quite late so Barbara even offered us a late check out the next morning. She was very friendly and accommodating!

The apartment is so exquisitely decorated. We loved the antiques, the quaint wood floors and vintage kitchen. It’s beautiful. The location was perfect for getting to Turning Stone Resort. It is very close to it. We had a nice time in this cozy, colorful place.

Definitely a space with great level of thoughts and details makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Surrounded by the nature, you can immerse yourself in the beautiful mountain view and bird chirps, very peaceful and tranquil. We saw deers walking by, rabbit hiding in bush from raining, and a little chipmunk busy around the house all the time. Thanks Katey for sharing her beautiful home and being a great host, super responsive and provides lots of useful information. We had an amazing time!

Perfect night for a nearby getaway while things done at my apartment. Lot of charm and everything you could need is in this den. Pictures did it justice. I’ll stay again just for the fun of it next time. Igor was easy to communicate with and he was spot on with everything he has posted on the listing. This place is a gem!

Lovely little apartment, easy access to and from the Erie Canal trail. Laundromat is steps away for washing cycling gear. Close proximity to a grocery store so you can prep your own meals or plenty of dining options if you wish to dine out. My daughter loved the playground in town too. Melanie’s space has character and charm, was clean and comfortable.

Troy's place is suitable for a summer vacation! It has nice views of the lake and the area was nice and quiet. Although our stay was short, we really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again!

Carla was a wonderful host. More importantly her rental was beautiful and very comfortable. Would strongly recommend and we look forward to going back (when there’s less snow)!

I highly recommend Suzanne's place for anyone visiting Windham! She was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the booking process and my stay. As someone who travels constantly for work, my schedule can be quite unpredictable, and Suzanne was unbelievably accommodating and flexible with my changing needs. I truly appreciated her understanding and willingness to work with me. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Windham, and the view of the ski resort from the back deck was an unexpected bonus! I only wish I could have stayed longer. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, not just for winter skiing, but also to explore the beautiful surroundings throughout the year.

Cute space. Parking Space provided which was close to the door. Plush bathroom towels and nice bedroom linens. The place was nice and clean and had everything we needed. One block to the park and another block to the downtown area with lots to do! We had a wonderful visit and would rent again.

Th space was immaculate, well maintained, nicely designed as well as decorated. Our only concern was that there was no stove for our teenage son to cook on. There was a microwave and toaster broiler that worked just fine for him. However, the sauna was an amazing perk. The setting was very calm and relaxed. Rachel was an excellent host and left a kind graduation card and bottle of Spumante for us to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation. We would highly recommend this space and would rent again. Such a unique stay! David gave very helpful instructions for arriving and getting to the property, even supplied photos for extra assistance. The property itself is cozy and in a great part of the city. There’s lots to do nearby, super walkable, and David provides great local recommendations. The shared gallery space was so cool to see too. Great experience!
