House holiday rentals in Mills River

Our family felt right at home at Michael's A-frame. My husband commented that it felt as though we had stayed there before, and it really had. It has every amenity and creature comfort you could want or need, including a nicely stocked spice cabinet, plenty of linens, board games and puzzles, and a place to do laundry. Michael was friendly and helpful. Our family had an awesome time, and we hope to be back to enjoy the property in the summer months!

Our mission team was in the area working with Hammer and Heart. We stayed at this house based on location, number it could sleep and the neighborhood. Checkin was extremely easy, house was easy to find. While there, the A/C broke. Nothing that anyone could foresee. Amanda was responsive by immediately hopping into action by sending fans to try to cool the house until the HVAC person could get there to fix. Amanda stayed on top of the problem until she knew the A/C was fixed. Thanks for the hospitality of sharing your house so we could help people in the area.

Wow this place was absolutely amazing the pool and the hot tub were definitely the highlight of the stay but the house was also very homey and clean and it’s was a fun time

It was lovely, the communications with the manager were perfect and we enjoyed our stay there very much. Linens could use a little refreshing, however.

This is such an amazing place and yes it is real! Incredible views and wonderful stunning home in the mountains. It really was a memory I'll have forever. Matt was so awesome, he helped us get settled in and the amenities were so awesome🙏. Stay here and prepare to be pampered all the way up in the mountains! ❤️

Our family is huge so it’s really hard to find a house large enough to host all of us. Daniel’s house was GORGEOUS and so spacious, the photos did not do this place justice. The upstairs was beautiful with large windows that let natural light in. We did encounter a mama bear and her baby, but Daniel warned us every day during our stay to keep trash in and be aware of the bears. We were secured inside the house and got to watch through the windows. It was an amazing experience for the kids. The golf cart was a game changer. We didn’t have to move our vehicles a lot. The amenities were perfect for us and the kids. Two pools, mini golf, and pickleball was all we needed to stay busy the entire weekend. Lake Lure was closed, but that was told to us weeks before the trip. We will definitely come back when Lake Lure opens. 10/10 vacation!!!!!!

Great place to stay for a quick weekend in Asheville!

Absolutely delightful and classy space. Very luxurious and lots of tasteful details relevant to the locale, such as a framed map of the Blue Ridge Parkway and a copy of Grandma Gatewood's Walk. Check out procedure was very smooth and effortless.

We came to Vincent’s countryside Airbnb and with our 2 and 4 year old girls. It’s so beautiful and they’ve upgraded some of the furniture since the pictures were taken, e.g., the kitchen table. I wish I could have read all day on the wrap around porch while viewing the surroundings. The girls loved watching the cows graze on the grass. For those with little ones, we’d recommend the Park at Flat Rock (huge park with bathrooms, a fun playground, and lots of walking paths). We’d also recommend The Arboretum, which was a pretty place to walk around. Lastly, Sierra Nevada Restaurant and Tap Room is great for all ages. There’s play areas for kids, which made it a top notch place for us. Back to Vincent’s place, it was so homey and had comfy beds. We can’t wait to come back!

Loved this mountain retreat! The house is immaculate yet comfortable, perfect for both groups of adults and families with kids. My favorite perk was having a Breville espresso machine so I didn’t have to drive anywhere to make great coffee. I would absolutely stay here again.

If you are looking for the perfect place to stay to relax, unwind and feel at peace then look no further. House was super clean, beds were oh so comfy and the back deck and front porch were amazing! John and Kate were so friendly and even brought the goats over to say hello! There place is a perfect getaway and we cannot wait to return. It is close to local breweries, Pisgah National Forest and many other local gems. The amenities in this house are top notch. Thank you John and Kate for the perfect stay!

Great place to stay! Beautiful view across the street. Had everything we needed with coffee and stores 5 mins down the road!

This place was perfect! We felt so comfortable and relaxed. It smelled good, looked good and was really clean! The hot tub was easy to use and we took advantage each night the weather allowed. We didn’t want to leave and will absolutely stay again! Graham was very responsive and helpful. We had not a single thing we didn’t like or wished was different. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Oh yes, easy storage to unpack and “live” here for a week!

I cannot say enough great things about this place! It was the perfect spot for my solo writing retreat/getaway. I appreciated the provided lighter and fresh-cut wood to build a fire in both the fire pit and wood-burning stove. There is even a trail about 10 feet from the end of the driveway that leads to a small waterfall! The upper unit is pretty steep, so be prepared for that. If you want to be right beside the fire pit, you’ll want to book the lower unit. But, I didn’t mind the walk. Communication was great, & the host was very accommodating. Brevard is only about a 15 minute drive, with a cute downtown, restaurants, coffee, and groceries.

Lovely place to stay with nice natural light and woodsy yard. The kitchen had all appliances and cookware you would ever need. The main bedroom bed was very comfortable and such a quiet neighborhood..a good sleep. Very convenient to supermarket etc. Hope to return on future visits.

The view was amazing, and the whole reason I specifically booked this house, and I was certainly not disappointed. The house was as listed, felt very comfy, was clean, everything as expected. I would highly recommend this rental and plan on coming back.

LOVED our stay! Beautiful view, loved the fire pit, very clean, well stocked kitchen, great location. Would absolutely stay again if we make it back to Asheville. The drive up is a little intimidating but nothing the Jeep Wrangler couldn’t handle.

We had such a great stay at this house. It’s tucked away in the woods, super peaceful, and just has a really cool vibe overall. The home itself is beautiful, huge windows, cozy fireplaces, and that awesome open layout that makes it feel super spacious but still warm and welcoming. One of our favorite parts was how quiet and private it felt. You can sit outside and just hear the river in the background, so relaxing. It really felt like a little escape from the world, but still had everything we needed to feel comfortable. If you’re looking for a peaceful, unique place to recharge, I’d definitely recommend it. We loved it!

Murray’s mountaintop getaway is a must! There is absolutely nothing negative I could say about this home or our experience from the moment we walked in to the unfortunate moment we had to leave. The hosts provided very clear instructions on how to get to the house and quick response and answers to any questions we had. After staying here I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. While enjoying a fire we were pleasantly surprised to see a momma bear and her 2 cubs on the balcony one night. We look forward to returning to this little bit of heaven. Book it!

This place was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!!! The backyard is surrounded by trees and has a beautiful creek. The house was very clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

I don’t think my words could ever adequately describe how beautiful and well maintained this property was or how wonderful Angela and Ken were. This home is pristine and well cared for. The views are breathtaking. It was the perfect place to spend the weekend. Can’t wait to plan the next trip back. You will not be disappointed if you book this rental.
