Hut holiday rentals in Mid Devon District

Lovely hut inside and out, set within lovely gardens. Plenty of places to relax outside, especially the hot tub. We drove to the Bell at Broadway, lovely pub for food with plenty of options and majority can be gf too, including the home made pizza with a large selection of toppings.

This is our 5th time staying at The Glade. Myself, my son and our pooch love it there. Its so private, quiet and i love to sit amongst the wildlife and bird watch. A nice walk in the woods right beside the hut or just a chilled swing in the hammock. It is our favourite place to unwind. I love how everytime we visit the surroundings look different with the ever changing wildlife. It is as beautiful in winter and rain as it is in the sun and summer. Autumn has to be my favourite. Juliet is a lovely host and is not intrusive in the slightest. However she is very responsive if you need anything. We had a lovely chat this time whilst i was sat bird watching and she told me about a few birds she had seen. What can i say if you need to unwind then this is the place. Comfortable, quiet, homely and warm.

Perfect location for relaxing, everything you need, even homemade cake, yummy, and walking if you want to, although some quite steep hills. We walked to Watermouth Castle, then took a bus to Ilfracombe, we walked to Coombe Martin then over the hills and back. Watch the bus times tho! The outside bath is a must and the fresh flowers and milk are a lovely extra touch too! Be careful to duck in and out of the horsebox door but the shower is hot and powerful. We had a lovely time in our little piece of North Devon for a long weekend 😀

Great getaway here! Easy to book, new amenities, smart new decor, great shower, fully functioning oven, job and microwave. Good directions to get to the place and easy self check in. (Just note there is no wifi and bring a spare toilet roll as we used our 1 roll up pretty quickly).

Lucy's retreat was a beautiful place to stay, the perfect couples getaway. She left local reccomendations, great directions, a birthday banner and even some treats for us, such thoughtful touches. Everything was perfect and spotless, great place to take our dog to. I couldn't reccomend this place enough thanks so much for a lovely getaway *****

The Shepherd's Hut was a very comfortable and convenient stay for our needs. The interior is very cute and the theme is applied perfectly. Nice to be on the edge of a working farm. The escapee ducks were a highlight. Communication with Mandy was easy. We would come back.

Will and Gill were amazing hosts. We had an issue where we lost our car key while on a beach walk and they could not have been more helpful. Regarding the shepherd's hut itself, it was everything we hoped for. More spacious than appears I'm the photos and was more than enough room for two adults , two kids and a dog. Nicely furnished and well kitted out, it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Hot tub was a big hit with kids and adults alike. Very private and peaceful with large field for the dog to run around , it really had everything. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Thank you so much for hosting us Tracy. The hut was perfect, beautifully furnished with lots of thoughtful touches. The best bit was the location, private and secluded. The view from hut was just of rolling hills - no buildings or even roads in sight! A place to unwind and de-stress.

We loved our stay with Tracy. The shepherd‘s hut was cozy, homely and clean, and we were so grateful for the friendly welcome we received. Our son loved feeding the goats with the food provided, and having fire wood and marshmallows for toasting ready waiting was wonderful and super kind! The jacuzzi / hot tub was clean and ready to hop into - wonderful! Having the cute ducks nearby and cows on a neighbouring farm made it feel like a proper farm getaway. It was nice to be out of the way of busy touristy hotspots but it was very easy to get to beautiful locations nearby. We spotted some lovely country pubs nearby too. We can only recommend Tracy‘s place - 5 *s!

Mike's place was an absolute dream for our pre-baby, relaxing getaway with our Whippet! It completely exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, right on the SW coast path yet feeling wonderfully secluded, while still being just a quick 5-minute drive to Lyme Regis. Although the listing mentioned the garden wasn't fully secure, we found it to be very secure for our Whippet which was an added bonus. There are also several gates to pass through on the way from the parking area, adding to the security. Our dog lovedddd running about with a frisbee and then sunbathing ha! We honestly loved the property so much (especially the pool!) that we barely left, only venturing out for morning coffee and breakfast. Mike's recommendations were spot on – Poco Pizza was fantastic for takeaway, and communication was excellent throughout. We'll be hard-pressed to find another Airbnb that compares and look forward to coming back with our baby. Thank you!

Quick One – Fantastic. Loved it. Would book again (Weather could not have been better) Longer Version (perhaps for those, like us, whom have not stayed in a Shepherds Hut/this area before) - I found and booked this as was looking for a bit of a break, in isolation, with some nice country around it and a few walks (hopefully to a pub). Jackpot – this was EXACTLY that, and more. The hut is a lovely place to stay. Great location, fantastic places to eat and drink, (some of which are within a relatively easy walking distance (20-40 mins, depending on which way you go)) Hut is not that small. The bed is fantastic – big and comfortable. (My favourite part of the day was waking up early and watching the low morning sun on the fields, sheep, trees and hills beyond, through various windows, from bed…. and I am not usually an early morning person, but this was special). There is quite a lot of attention to detail. It is very well done. Loved the unusual BBQ (want one) and firepit. Thanks E&J

Lovely shepherds hut in a very secluded and peaceful location. Clean and very cosy. Enjoyed sitting on the deck and using the hot tub watching the swallows dart around. If you want to recharge your batteries this is perfect. Close to Bridport and Lyme Regis.

Lovely few days stay at the cabin. We probably spent most of the time on the porch looking out into the woodlands. Everything was as described. It was an incredibly peaceful place to unwind. Would be more than happy to visit again. Communication was excellent. Many Thanks!

I booked this stay as a present for my mum and step dad. They thoroughly enjoyed their night away! The goodies they found were much appreciated, the Shepherds Hut was spotless and the view was beautiful. Thank you - I think I’m going to have to book up for me and my husband now!

Really loved the stay at Diddylake! Amazing hosts, gorgeous location, and really great facilities. We both had a lovely time exploring cornwall, then having our private little huts in Diddylake to come back to, and chill out in. Waking up in the morning with the weather being sunny was beautiful and peaceful, Diddylake its own little place of solace. It was such an amazing place to start and end the day. A wonderful stay at the Collie for 2 nights. A wonderful well equipped Sheppard's Hut and the extra special touches that Chloe provided from the arrival hamper to the hot tub being preheating for arrival. The views across the Somerset levels are beautiful and the night time sky was perfect for relaxing around the fire/bbq and in the hot tub. Thr local area of Glastonbury and cider farms add to this lovely weekend.

We had a great stay here for a long weekend and wish we could have stayed for longer. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, lovely views and great accommodation that encourages you to stop and relax. It felt really private and secluded which is exactly what we were looking for. So much to see and do within walking distance as well, including a great local pub.

It’s one of the nicest Shepard Hut’s we’ve stayed in.. beautifully laid out… felt we had plenty of room even with our Lab. Everything seemed brand new… especially loved the bathroom … immaculate!. Fired up the hot-tub.. which worked a treat!…. so relaxing on our last night. Would recommend a meal at the Kings Arms at Georgeham 👌🏻 and we had a tasty lunch at The Thatch in Croyde … all in all a great start to our holiday 😊

The setting was absolutely beautiful and the hut was very well presented! Great suggestions for places to eat from Danette and the views and sounds from the hut of the countryside are unbeatable! We watched a barn owl from the hut on both nights we stayed!

Brilliant break at Pippins for a long sunny weekend. A really friendly place to stay in the stunning Somerset countryside. The shepherds hut was really well equipped and the location is ideal for walks, local amenities and exploring the area - definitely worth a ride on the steam train to Dunster, and we enjoyed our trip to the beach at Porlock Weir. Jill and Simon were really welcoming and gave us lots of useful info to make the most of our stay. Thoroughly recommended!

Fabulous hospitality and a beautiful setting! The views are stunning and the location is perfect for hopping in the car to enjoy local beaches and towns. Rosa and Mark were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Our sausage dog also loved it here so we will definitely be back!

What a special place! Myself and my partner were able to finally relax and recharge. We spent our evenings cooking on the bbq next to the fire pit followed by drinks in the hot tub and stargazing! It’s peaceful, private and you’re surrounded by nature. We loved the donkeys and so did our 10 month old puppy. Friendly hosts! Emma is a grafter and always working hard on the farm. You can see how much she loves and cares for all the animals. It was the perfect place to spend my birthday and looking forward to returning soon.
