Lake house holiday rentals in Medina Lake

We have stayed here before about a year and a half ago. We needed a weekend getaway. This the perfect serene location. Always very clean, linens and towels are soft and comfy. The mattresses are amazing. Very close to San Antonio to get out and about if you so choose.

This is a great place to stay. We visited with our dog for the weekend and it was a great space to relax. The view from the bluff over the valley was really nice. Our dog really enjoyed the space and surrounding ranch.

We had a blast at this house. Beautiful location and great views.

We used this getaway for a girls cozy weekend away. It was perfect for morning coffee on the balcony, walks near the water, board games, lovely meals, and comfy movie night. We had a wonderful time and would go there again in a heartbeat!

Overall great experience and the pictures of the property do no do it justice. SO CLEAN - and wonderful location. Our family had an amazing time. We switched from another Airbnb and this one blew it away.

Our family of four spent four nights here. It’s such a unique spot, with the house being just above a shallow part of the river running over rocks. The sound is incredibly peaceful. The property has a long riverfront that you can enjoy, ranging from the rocky shallow areas to a deeper section where you can start canoeing. We used one of the canoes, plus there was one single kayak and one SUP. A 15-20 minute paddle puts you at Angel Falls which is a beautiful area to splash in the water or just relax. We caught some little bass along the way. The area has fun activities as well, including The Point Theater and Crider’s Rodeo & Dancehall. The house itself could have been cleaner but the location felt so amazing that we didn’t really care. So thankful for the opportunity to stay at this magical property! Truly unique!

We enjoyed our stay here. The washing machine was pretty moldy, but the host immediately sent someone to clean it. Just as advertised, and we enjoyed the hot tub. Thank you!

We had a fantastic weekend at this house! The home is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything was working perfectly — air conditioning, hot water, electricity, all utilities were in great shape. What really stood out was how well-equipped the house is. Literally everything you can think of for a weekend near the lake is there. From practical touches like mosquito repellent placed by the picnic table, a hose to rinse your feet, to extra chairs and fun games to enjoy with family or friends — everything was thoughtfully arranged. Although the lake is currently at a low level due to dry season, we still had a great time. You can reach the lake on foot by a short trail (about 5 minutes from the house), or drive 5min to one of the nearby parks with easier access and more infrastructure. Tim, the host, was very responsive, helpful, and friendly throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed the house and would absolutely come back in the future. Highly recommend!

Our family had a great weekend at the Deer Haus! Even though it was hot outside during the day, it was comfortable in the patio with the fans. Our college aged kids had a blast playing pool, ping pong, and the other games available in the game room. Every night, the deer would visit us and we hand fed one of them with the deer corn. There were a lot of little touches that helped make the stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Would definitely come back!

The casita and property were beautiful and peaceful. It was well stocked and clean. Perfect for our getaway and close enough to everything to not have to go far for necessities. The host's were amazing and so helpful with any questions we had.

We had a great full week here. The house set up was perfect for what we needed it for. The game room and bunks downstairs made it a quiet scene upstairs. The kitchen was equipped for cooking. We cooked about 2 meals each day. We loved going to the Screaming Goat for happy hour and the Tavern for Wednesday Bingo. We did rent a boat for tubing but we all know the lake was super low. The walk from the house was difficult and not what you really want to do. The views of the lake from the porch was nice.

Our family had a wonderful time at Patty and Craig’s red house and we can’t wait to visit again! The sunset view was absolutely stunning. Patty provided fantastic local recommendations, making our stay even more enjoyable. It truly felt like a home away from home!

Like a really nice hotel. Everything was spotless and well staged throughout the house without a lot of clutter to move to be able to settle in in the bedrooms and bathrooms quickly. Comfortable furniture and bedding was a big plus.

We loved our stay! Michelle was a great host! Very responsive and very nice. The house had plenty of space for 5 and was comfortable and clean. It was fun for the family to use the ping pong table during down time when we were home resting from all the fun things to do in the area and the great restaurants. We highly recommend staying at this location as it is conveniently close to tubing, a lake, Gruene, New Braunfels, San Marcus, Wimberly, and Blanco! There are several swimming holes close by as well. A great relaxing family getaway location! We will definitely go back and would stay at this house again! Thank you, Michelle for being a great host!

Nice, clean and private. Great big windows in the front of the house, We requested window shades for privacy at night, completed, and very responsive. There was a minor issue with the heating, fixed, very responsive! There was a small issue with the dryer, fixed, very responsive! The deer 🦌 were our special guests, they visited us every morning and throughout the day until sunset. The area has septic systems therefore we suggest drinking bottled water. The east window has a great view of the sunrise! Ample space for a family with kids with the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Cable service was great, never had dropping problems. Very close to restaurants and retail stores. Unfortunately, due to the drought they have been experiencing for the last couple of years, we were unable to enjoy any water activities in the Canyon Lake. There is no water activity at all. This place was so amazing. Right as soon as we pulled into the drive way we knew we would love it. We walked in and they had everything we could dream of needing from snacks to extra charging cords. The house was very clean and so cozy. The bed was very comfortable so we always got a good nights rest. The house is only a short drive to the lake, but then it is a bit of a walk since the drought brought the water down, but it’s still such a good scenic view and workout. The location is close enough to the guadeloupe and san antonio that there are a LOT of activities to do. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

The house was in a great location. We particularly enjoyed the hottub, community swimming pool, proximity to Gruene, and the peaceful neighborhood. Will definitely go back soon.

Our stay was great! The house is beautiful, clean and close to wedding venue, Remis Ridge. Would book again if occasion arises.
