Beautiful sandstone farmhouse and adjacent accommodation, on a farm in the eastern Free State. Looks out over attractive garden and werf, with wide verandah. Lindie was super helpful and welcoming as was their farm manager. Very comfortable, very clean and very cosy and well equipped.

We had about such a lovely stay at Garden view. The accommodation is spacious, cozy and extremely well equipped. We felt at home immediately and Annelie even left some fresh milk in the fridge. The farm is beautiful with many routes to walk. And then there is the beautiful garden and views. We will defnitief revisit. Thank you Annelie for your kindness.

It was a wonderful stay at Tempelhof Guest & Game farm with Ansie and Criss. We were a couple with an infant and the hospitality was beyond great. Ansie was always on top of her communication right from the day we booked. They were like family. I still couldn’t get over the delicious chocolate brownies she baked for her guests. The place is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts. It is primarily a hunting lodge open to non-hunter guests only a few weeks on the off-season. The hosts have a private zoo with multiple well maintained predators , rodents, scavengers, birds, fish and off course the friendly dogs they have. Criss and Ansie has a cozy bar with a deck that overlooks the extensive valley below. The place has a rustic charm with a retro German vibe. It is perfect for the guests who are looking to stay away from the modern/urban glass and steel. Lest we forget, the property offers its bit for the birders. Clarens, GGH National Park around a 90 mins drive. We recommend the place.

We were so grateful to stay at Thandi’s place!!! 4 tired, hungry, bikepackers arriving late at night and we couldn’t have been treated better!! What a gem and beautiful spot. If it wasn’t for Lee finding me some screws I wouldn’t have been able to keep riding! Life saver.
