Cozy Cabin in the Woods! Family Friendly &Lake!

My family and I wanted to get away for a couple of days to spend some family time together without life’s distractions. The gps led us right to the listing and it looked exactly like pictured. It was cold when we first went inside but the instructions for the heat were right on the kitchen table and easy to understand. The place was so clean and we loved the bear theme throughout. The house had everything we needed for our stay which was great. The weather was still cold so we did not venture outside except to make a fire in the fire pit which was nice. In the listing it did say there is a private beach and playground. I didnt see directions for it inside so maybe that is something that would be helpful. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come and stay again! Thank you Anne!

We absolutely loved our stay at Diana’s place! The location was perfect for our needs. The location was absolutely gorgeous. Our dogs loved taking walks on the dirt roads, and we all loved cozying up on chilly evenings in front of the wood stove. The beds were comfortable and on cold nights we were pleasantly surprised at how warm the stove kept the space. Diana was extremely communicative and helpful, while things were well labeled and easy to figure out, we had a great experience with the caretaker, Ashley, going above and beyond to bring us an item we had asked about. I cannot say enough good things! As a former local - you could not find a better space in this area.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation on Center Pond. It was comfortable, peaceful and very relaxing. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and the fire pit. The cabin was comfortable and the large picture window with the view of the pond was serene. Linda was very friendly, communicative and easy to work with. We would consider another vacation at this spot.

A bit of Hillbilly Heaven with all the amenities

Interesting place. Very quiet, little traffic noise, in a rural mostly forested area off a main highway. Non-traditional home, lots of large windows, fronts a very slow-moving meandering river, very tranquil. Solid build, wood interior, tall ceilings (except for 2 BRs). Long sets of stairs to reach 3rd floor BR, 2nd floor (BR, kitchen w fridge, MW, gas stove, bath w tub). 1st floor has BR, bath w shower, LR w fridge, MW. Large deck off LR. Many rooms have string lights set up to add a festive look. Depending on when & how long your stay is you may see a lot of different waterfowl & large birds (eagles/hawks). Re non-avian wildlife, you may not see that much of them bc if they have sustainable habitat, they stay in it rather than encroach upon human habitation. Host prefers to greet/show you around. The stairs &/or outside grounds may be problematic for those w mobility issues or have young kids. If you're a bit adaptable, want to try something different, this place may be ideal!

The location was beautiful. We arrived on a cold spring day, unfortunately the house was freezing cold. The propane tanks that connected to the heater and gas stove were empty. I thought that we would have to spend the night elsewhere warmer, but the host was very responsive. They contacted a neighbor who came to the rescue with 2 space heaters that provided more than enough comfort. The wind howled and the rain came and we were the coziest. The porch provided great coverage to watch the rain come down. The bathroom and kitchen were stocked with the necessities; some toiletries, wine, a couple beers, and coffee!!
