Family-friendly holiday rentals in Manteo

This house was perfect for our family and really close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and then some. Most of all we loved how close it was to the beach!

Great location and wonderful yard for a pet owner. Felt very secure and the hot tub and fire pit perfect touches to enjoy time outside. The bedrooms were comfy and private. We loved being able to walk to the beach and restaurants. Definitely would stay here again

We had a great three night stay, my three adult children and I. The beach was surprisingly almost ours to ourselves. For an older traditional OBX house, it was well updated and very well appointed. The central floor plan is very open. I love it when you can be in the kitchen cooking while talking to everybody in the living area and those around the dinner table at the same time. Awesome view of the ocean off the back deck. We sat in the hot tub and still see the ocean. Im sometimes leary of hot tubs at the beach, a lot of times they are not well maintained. Danielle's was spotless and the water chemistry was perfect and safe. There was absolutely nothing we needed or any place where we needed to go that was not within a 5-minute drive. All of my family are fisherman. if you like to fish, there's not a better place to stay. getting from the house to the beach to surf fish takes less than a minute. we walked up to the OBX Pier several times to fish, probably less than a 5 minute walk.

We love staying at Donald’s Duck! This was our second stay and we think this place is just so cute and cozy. Our favorite place is the beautifully lit pool area. It’s a short walk to the beach. The indoor space is beautiful and clean. Mark is a very responsive and helpful host! We love the proximity to the shops and restaurants.

Our first family vacation with our 3 month old son couldn’t have been better, thanks to Allison and Ritchie’s home and backyard space. Anything we needed was quickly and easily responded to by them to make sure our son had a great time, including room temp and pool temp (TY guys!) For small family vacations at OBX in the future in, we hope to come back here.

We had the best time here, its exactly like the pictures and the host goes above and beyond with recommendations/ items provided and cleanliness!

We stayed here for a week with two families of 4. The house is actually much nicer than the feel the pictures give, it’s bright and very well cared for. The location is close to downtown Duck, walkable, but also felt very private. It’s a short walk (5-10 minutes, depending on how fast you walk) to the beach. It had a cart and everything we needed for some fun on the beach. The house fit us perfectly and I think we could have added one more small family and been perfectly comfortable, the only thing that wouldn’t have worked was the size of the dining room table, which was a little tight for 8. It had everything we needed and the bed were surprisingly comfortable. The house was clean and tidy. This is a GREAT house for kids. It has a nice playroom downstairs and the fact that the pool is fenced from the house made us feel comfortable letting our youngest kiddos run and play freely in the house. The pool is small but perfect and the hot tub was great for unwinding!

The place was perfect for us. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s about ~2 miles from the shops of Duck. The beach is less than five minutes walk—our dog loved it. We had a great time! The hosts were very responsive and check in and check out were a breeze.

Great house with a huge fenced in backyard. Close to the beaches and nature preserve. Amanda was great.

House was just as expected, great location too! Target and Wawa are right down the street for convenience. The fenced in backyard was great for our dogs and the outdoor shower was awesome for showering at the beach. We actually used that the whole stay! We will definitely check this spot’s availability the next time we decide to take a trip.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage was spotless, very clean, beds were comfortable, it was exactly how it is depicted and described. I needed a place to decompress after my dad’s funeral and this was just the place. I traveled with my German Shepherd and we were able to take long walks on the beach right across the street. The host was very responsive to any questions I had and communicated when the place was ready early. Would totally recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Alison’s place! It was perfect for our group—which included my spouse, our family dog, and my grandmother-in-law. The house was just as advertised: clean, spacious, and in a fantastic location. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance to the beach, a grocery store, local shops, and even an ice cream shop, which we loved. Although the range broke on our first night, Alison and her husband were incredibly responsive and had it replaced within a few days. Their quick action really stood out and made us feel well taken care of. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and quiet place. I highly recommend Debra's Place as it delivers what is promised. She is quite attentive and proactive. The entrance is very easy to find and to get to. The garden is so beautiful. The location is good and the perks are quite useful. The kitchen is properly equipped. The beach equipment is top notch and you are able to borrow it. Amazing. Do not hesitate in booking. The place was very clean and it had a family feeling. Debra was so nice to bake delicious cookies to welcome us. Our stay was so sweet as the cookies that welcomed us. Looking forward to book here in the future.

Grouper Therapy is conveniently located - walkable to beach, sound, restaurants/stores in Duck, and neighborhood pool. The house had a floor plan with 3 King bedrooms + 1 more that worked perfectly for our family. The kitchen was well appointed - provides everything you need if you want to cook in. We appreciated all the extras provided - high chair, beach chairs, carts, tv in every bedroom. Our family really enjoyed our week in Duck.

My family and I vacationed down in the Outer Banks again for my son’s spring break and we really enjoyed our stay at Olga’s place! The location can’t be beat - literally right on the beach with a view of the ocean to die for. We enjoyed waking up early every morning to catch the sunrise on the horizon, the seabirds gliding along the shore, and occasionally the dolphins coming up briefly for a breath of fresh air. We always love the local restaurants like Mama Kwan’s and Food Dudes and we tried a couple of new ones as well that were delicious! We can’t wait for our next Outer Banks vacation- always a relaxing and enjoyable time!

The location could not be beat! We loved walking to Scarborough Faire and biking to restaurants or the beach. House was clean and stocked well. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home, super clean, comfortable beds, plenty of extras like soap, garbage bags, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, towels, cookware, seasonings ect. Kati was an awesome host and was very attentive and responsive. The pool was fabulous and we spent a lot of time there. We wish check out was a little later and suggest doing extras as if it were your own such as throw in some towels, make sure the beds and pillowcases are stripped, take out the trash, run the dishwasher and just leave it as much as you can as it was when you arrived. We loved this place and will certainly use Kati again. She is a super host for sure!! Thank you Kati!

Sue’s house was perfect for our family of 10! A 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. A fabulous pool for all of us to enjoy. A lovely decorated home with plenty of bedrooms and new bathrooms. Loved the outdoor showers. Well equipped kitchen for all our meals. And a porch to watch magnificent sunsets at night! Sue was quick to answer all my questions.

Jorge was an excellent host - very proactive and responsive, and just a pleasure to meet and speak with. We thoroughly enjoyed his beach home, and we are very happy it was available to us.

Rick was a gracious host, the location was perfect, place was clean and had everything we could possibly need. We can wait to return in the future

This place is a gem! Great for a solo trip or besties get away! I totally enjoyed the peace and quiet! Very clean and I absolutely loved the fireplace and chilling in the hammock out back! Ian was always communicating with me and great suggestions for eating out! 5 star service! 🤗🙌🏽❤️
